Huge inventory and friendly staff.When the cold thwarted our original plans, we stopped in (wound up being twice) while on vacation and found all sorts of stuff we'd been checking out online but had never been able to put our hands on.Accidentally wound up spent $300, but gear is an investment, right?!

Great, local outdoor store. Love the gear and the stellar customer service. I needed some crossbars for my rig and not only could they talk through the options and had stuff in stock they also still help you mount them. And I’m my case let me watch so I could learn too. Highly recommend.

There aren’t enough good things to say about this store and its crew. They have the best gear for any outdoor adventure, and you can tell it’s been curated by actual outdoor enthusiasts. The staff know what’s up and can talk tech specs and local adventure spots all day. While I don’t live in NWA anymore, I’ll still wait to buy gear until I’m home for a visit.

Super cool store! I stopped by today for the first time to replace my summer sleeping bag. Danny was a very welcoming, knowledgeable, and friendly guy!They carry high quality gear from reputable brands. If camping to you is driving your Suburban to a campsite with plumbing, the gear likely surpasses your needs. Great stuff in the store for people who hike in a few miles. Also great stuff for rich people that want to spend a lot of money to look like they spend time outdoors!I know I will be back when I need to replace my pack (which is soon). My 20 year old Oakley 3-day pack is okay, but lacking many modern features. Danny showed me their supply of Mystery Ranch packs (which I was surprised they had) and offered to fit a pack to my body. I'll be back for one of those by the end of the year!

I went in looking for a completely different shoe from what I ended up with. I was unsure about my shoe size anymore and Carlin was AWESOME!!! I fell in love with the Birkenstock Purple Fog EVA sandal and I have literally not taken them off since I put them on!!! Thank you Carlin, for excellent customer service and finding me my perfect fit!!!!

We have passed the store several times and never stopped and but decided to give it a shot today. It appeared to be a well stocked store full of outdoor activity gear, including clothing, kayaking, camping, and almost everything in between. The staff was very friendly and eager to assist, but not in a pushy way. They also had a large number of items on sale. We will definitely go back

Nice. Clean an welcoming. Was greeted warmly. My reason was for going there? Survival equipment. There's three schools in this area to shop. Shops that cater to the public servants. Glamping. Ex-Military outfitters an surplus. This place is more for the weekender. An as it is, a nice place.

I've been a customer for about 7 years now. Pack Rat is my go to place for all outdoor apparel. They also have a good selection of climbing and boating gear. They have a huge selection of outerwear and their staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is because they almost never have sales. You will almost always pay the full retail price in the store. And almost everyone knows that you can find the same products somewhere else online for a lot less. If Pack Rat had more seasonal sales they would be a 5/5 for me.

What an awesome place and staff! Charley was very friendly and helpful. I've always wanted to stop by after enjoying the Arkansas outdoors and finally did. I will be spending my dollars here, and look forward to participating in classes and events at Pack Rat.

Pretty cool place. They have plenty of staff to offer help. We were really happy because they actually had some good quality stuff for our toddler. It's pricey but it's worth it for the service and the quality of product.

Solid selection. Decent customer service. However don’t expect the shop to actually have the products in stock that their website says they have available. Just took an hour out of my day to drive over there and pick up a few things their website said “In Stock,” only to arrive there are have neither of them. They offered to order them, but don’t need them next week. I need them tomorrow. I should have just ordered them myself and skipped them middle man.

If you love going outdoors and the gear that makes it better this is the store for you. They have ALL of the camping gear that you could want. Car campers, kayak carriers, climbing ropes, harnesses, tents, hammocks, knives, sleeping bags, and hiking boots. The gear is good brands so the store will look expensive if you are used to lower quality stuff. However, the people that I have worked with are always knowledgeable and fill a gap that Gearhead does not fill. Also the wood interior is really cool looking.

My wife & I recently stopped in on a whim..I was looking for a specific type of sock - which you stock (DARN TOUGH.. I love them!! They live up to their name..)I saw the LEMS's BOULDER SUMMIT leather boots as we were about to leave and thought I'd try on a pair. . . Nice looking boot, wider than normal toe-box...(?? Intriguing..)I cannot remember the guys name that was helping us..he was great!! But when I put them on......WOW!!! My feet haven't been pain free for several years now. I was absolutely amazed at the comfort!! Thx PACK-RAT!!! Definitely a good purchase. . .Ps: I left a review on their website as well. .👍👍👍
