Needs a change in management. Went in evening of 10/24 and while shopping and checking out the manager was screaming the whole time. The cashier was really nice despite having this "manager" yelling in her ear the whole time shes trying to help me.

Today I went into the new dollar general for the first and last time. I was excited to see the new store. I grabbed some regular priced items and some 70% and 50% off items. I was thinking I’d be in and out within 10 minutes. Right off the bat I saw that just like the old store none of the clearance was marked. Which is ridiculous. So I went to the checkout. There was only one cashier checking at the only manned register. He had 2 customers ahead of me so I reluctantly used the self checkout. I was hoping the clearance would ring up correctly. As usual it didn’t. So I looked around for a cashier. The one man checking was still busy. Another man that seemed to be working but didn’t have a badge said he’d get the manager. 5 min later he came back and said the manager wanted the checker to fix it. By now I’m like 15 minutes into trying to check out. So in wait 5 more minutes until the checker comes to help. He has to manually type the price of every clearance item. Then I put my card in to pay. He went back to the register. The machine says processing for like 5 minutes. During this time the manager walks by. Yells “the phone is ringin” to the cashier. He was busy with other customers. She goes in a room by the checkouts. She comes back out and sees the cashier helping me. I ask her to help. She reluctantly comes over. Says the machine is frozen. Takes me to a different register. She starts ringing my stuff up. I start telling her what clearance was 70% and she says “nothing in here is 70% off”. I said yes it is. She says “no it’s not”. “I didn’t put anything out at that price”. I told her I’m honest. I’m not lying. That I wasn’t going to argue with her. She said “show me where it is”. I was already late so I told her to take it off. I asked if she took it off. She said “you can see it on that side”. How rude!!! Then I thanked her as I left. She just glared at me and didn’t say a word. As all of this was going on, the cashier was supposed to have been getting off and he was just trying to ask if he was supposed to come back in and evening and she was being rude to him and saying “you have a schedule look at it”. I was so hoping the dollar general would be better but sadly it’s not. I will be taking my shopping to Fayetteville as long as she works there.

I’ve been in the new store twice now and it seems like the shelves are only halfway full. I also got to witness an old lady asking if somebody could help her check out and the store manager telling her that they were unloading the truck she can just use the self check out.

One of the nicest store's, customers and staff are very friendly and respectful. The cashiers seem to go out of their way to help you find what you want. The shelves are spaced correctly and the shelves are always full of stock. I really think the cashiers are way underpaid for the amount of time and effort they put into the customers and the work they do in the store. I think they have the cleanest parking lot I the northwest Arkansas area. I've noticed that the store has greatly improved 100% since new management took over.

Loved my visit except for when I heard the store manager yelling at the assistant store manager in front of customers treating her like she was an idiot that was very uncalled for.. that will also make me take my business

It's a nice place to stop and grab a couple items that otherwise would have meant a trip to one of the bigger chain stores. Staff is always pleasant. However, there's only one register open most of the time and the isle are too close. Not the place to be if your clostraphobic.

So crowded with things waiting to be put on shelves that only one person can get down the aisles. I like DG....but geez guys everyone in Elkins Ar. Complains about the mess. Come on give us a bigger store....You have the Best employees..but they feel bad about the merchandise in the aisles as well.....

Dollar General is one of my favorite places to go. It's clean, Nate, and orderly. They go out of their way to help you find what you need, or what you're looking for. If they can't find it, or you need more than what they have there, they're there to help you order it and get it in, and in the shortest period of time.

Overworked staff endures hectic work requirements to go the extra mile to treat the customers with kindness. They certainly perform yeoman's work in an often stress-filled environment. The Corporate Central office should increase pay to secure an ample and deserving staff.

We shop there often. All of the folks that work there are very friendly and helpful. They always take time to acknowledge you no matter how busy they are. And they are always busy!! These folks need a raise really I mean it!

Very frustrated and disappointed in the Elkins Dollar General store, you can't get through the isles because the employees pull all of those carts filled with merchandise down every isle then will not put it on the shelves the store is a total mess. Some of the employees are not helpful to the customers. It would be nice if someone would please look into what's going on in this store. Thanks

I love coming to Dollar General. They're the perfect one stop shop. Some prices are a bit high, but really competitive for a lot of other things. I'm a penny pincher.

They remodeled the look of the store, but it is still a nightmare to shop in.. can't get down aisles for everything stacked & piled up. There is only 1 cashier, 99% of the time with 20 people in line whiile 4 employees are stocking shelves, even though there is a few registers. Same unorganized BS as before the remodel.. Glad there is a new one being built in Goshen!

The nastiest DG I've ever been in. The smell was disgusting. It didn't even deserve the one star I gave it. Even the employees had a nasty attitude. Good thing I don't live in Elkins, & don't have to shop there.

Cashier was extremely friendly but the aisles were cram packed with merchandise that had not been stocked in shelves and Its always that way!!

Handy and quick place to stop on the drive home from Fayetteville. Always friendly staff helps you get in and out in a hurry if you can 😃😂👍. The product placement near the counters get me every time lol.

This location has the same inventory (mostly) but it stands with their friendlier staff. Other locations are nice but this one is definitely a great local store.

This store is too small. They constantly have freight in the aisles blocking all the endcaps. The customer service is good.

Dollar General stores are just expected to be messy I suppose. They are usually in stock if what we need but it's disorganized, carts out everywhere.

Love this store, visit once a week but was very disappointed that two women entered the store without masks, even went through checkout and weren't corrected, it's a state mandate.
