Place is upkept and a walking distance to a private marina to Lake Norfolk. The spot we got reserved was right at the entrance to the RV resort, there are no trees in the section to provide extra shade. There are other RVs parked uphill in their spots behind the entrance spots and under mature trees. The spots at the front are situated on an slight incline and we had to use extra leveling blocks to try and get the RV leveled. Each spot has its own sewer and power hookups and a picnic table. The resort also has cabins for rent. There's an onsite washer and dryer where you leave payment in an envelope, there's a small shop with some necessities and bait for sale in the check in office/store. The resort does not own or run a marina but partner with Jordan Marina. You call Jordan Marina and they send someone to pick you up and drop you off from and to the private marina on Hand Cove Resort.

I drove down this road because I was curious as to what was at the end of it. I'd seen the sign for over 10 years as I drove back and forth to Mountain home. Hand cove resort is like walking back into an Ozarks resort in the '60s. Cute little cabins, looks like quite a bit of RV space and my assumption is a lot of those people are full-timers or at least long timers because there were decks and barbecues set up by the rvs. There's a nice boat dock, the resort looks like it's laid back and unassuming. They had a nice pool, and look like a little convenience store. I would say if a person wanted to go there for a nice quiet vacation, take the kids, and just be able to kick back, relax and have a nice time by the lake then this would be a great place to go

Hand Cove Resort is a great place to bring the family! The owner, Greg, is friendly and personable. He's at your service to make your experience enjoyable. The cabins are clean, and the lakeside view is great! The dock is also a fun place to hangout at night, making for a relaxing and quiet experience. I highly recommend booking a cabin at Hand Cove, its a quality resort for your money and definitely worth it!

If your looking for a fishing trip this is your place. It's quiet and the rooms are very clean. Cellphones do not work. There is no signal. It was great. The resort is a bit off the beaten path but very tranquil. Greg is very helpful . He can tell you were to try and catch fish and what they are biting on. If you don't fish it's ok too. Go and enjoy the clear lake and chill out and enjoy .

We were a little surprised when we arrived to find it only had four very unlevel spots for weekend visitors (we had to stack 30lb blocks that were provided to level ourselves) and the water faucet to our spot was unusable. That being said it was extremely quiet and even though we had to drive long distances to shop or visit the caverns and dams we saw some beautiful and interesting places. There are cabins to rent (older)and boats also. Nice deck for sunbathing, fishing, and a place to clean the fish you catch.

This place is an angler's dream as it has all the accommodations for the angler AND family. The cabins have good beds, something not always common in fishing resorts. They have one of the cleanest fishing docks ever complete with fishing cleaning station on one end and a very nice, large swimming dock on the other. By water, not far from this location is a public sandy beach. The dock is large enough to sufficiently cover any fishing boats or pontoons and of course, includes electrical hookup. Each cabin/cottage has cable TV, wifi, and full size appliances. Nice folks; appropriate pricing and a lovely setting. Most important for us is they are pet friendly.

Camped with travel trailer. Site was uphill backing up; good thing the sun was out and the grass was dry. Furnished, roomy cabins are available with kitchen & bath and has a grill outside but bring your own charcoal. It's quite a hike to the water, but there is parking available. Boat rentals at marina available, across the water, so you'll need to judge your time when returning the boat. They will bring boat to you and also bring you back.

Watching the sunrise over the cove at Hand Cove Resort. Sipping coffee on the sofa in my cabin, I can see our boat in the dock... very comforting. I really like staying here, especially with the proximity to the dock and lake. If you love your boat like we do, you'll love Hand Cove Resort.

The RV sites we're too close and you had to jack them up 4 feet just to get them level. No shower house and the store had minimum overpriced items. It has some potential.
