Cotter Trout Dock is a must when fishing White River! Very friendly and helpful staff. Must definitely ask for Elvin for your guide! He is awesome! Kept us on fish all morning! Nice rainbows and some big browns! We also rented a boat from them and went out on our own. First rate gear and had a great afternoon.

Recognizing that fishing is a sport and that it may never be the same way twice, I have to let you know that this was an incredible experience. Mrs. Debbie was an amazing host, taking pictures and guiding us through the process. Eric was our guide and he kept us on fish all day, all within a mile of the dock so we didnt have to spend a bunch of time motoring to our fishing spot. We caught our limit of rainbow trout within the first 90 minutes and then switched to try and catch my father his first German Brown. We spent the rest of the day not only looking for Browns but actually catching them too! We managed to catch and release 7-8 Browns with Eric finding us a new spot whenever the fishing slowed down. It was a wonderful experience and one that we would love to repeat! 10/10 would suggest booking with Cotter Trout Dock!

Excellent fishing guide, Eric, found all the good trout fishing spots. The lunch was delicious and the fishing even better. The day long fishing trip was well worth the money. Everyone there is so helpful!

Back for a second time! Absolutely love this place. Debbie so sweet. Dylan was wonderful as well. Phillip our guide was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, and Personable. We enjoyed visiting with him. We loved our time on the white river catching fish with Phillip. It was so peaceful and tranquil.Looking forward to next year !

I ADORE Mrs. Debbie oh so much! Me and my boyfriend had such a great time! It was our first time rainbow trout fishing and we already want to go back and do it again! We also did the shore lunch. Ya'll... the hush puppies, the bacon, the banana pudding, the fries, OUR fish! It was so dang delicious! Doug was our guide and cooked us up not only one heck of a meal but brought us to some good spots! My boyfriend and Doug got along real well and it was just such a nice addition to a beautiful day out on the water! When we got back, they packaged up our fish and the sweetheart of sweethearts, Mrs. Debbie, had a calender collage of the pictures she had taken that morning before we set sail! It's the little things ya'll and Cotter Trout has a great thing going on! Can't wait to be back!

Everyone was fantastic and Mark, our guide, was amazing! My husband and I had an amazing time, it was exactly what we needed and so much more!! Everything about our experience was perfect! We rented a place on the White River for a week. We watched lots of folks fishing. I am not much of a fisherman, and my wife has never been. But we saw folks catching fish so we wanted to try. The owner of our rental property recommended this place, and it had great reviews, so we decided to try it. We tried to schedule, but they were booked. We made a reservation for another day, so be sure to reserve. It is a small place when we pulled up, but Debbie (I hope i remembered right) greeted us and made us feel like old friends immediately.  She did all of the paper work, and then introduced us to our guide, Dakota. He didn't say much at first. But once we got out to the first spot, he had the patience of Job with my wife, helping her get comfortable with the process of fishing. My wife caught the first fish! We both proceeded to catch several more. Then Dakota would tell us to real in and more to another location. He kept us catching fish all morning. (we did a half day trip) Even with throwing the small ones back, we  caught our limit of 10 in an hour or two. Then Dakota starting swapping smaller keepers for larger fish as we caught more. We ended up catching 36 fish total. INCREDIBLE for 2 folks that didn't know what they were doing.  When we got back, Dakota cleaned and packed our keepers in a cooler. We went back to our cabin and grilled a couple of those right on the banks of the river where we caught them! We froze and brought the others home. A definite must do in the White river area!

We had an amazing time. We were treated like we'd known them for years.. Dakota took us on a 4 hour fishing trip. He was a great guide, and just a nice guy. Would love to do it everyday.

I made my annual trip to Cotter Trout Dock August 1st. As usual, it was fantastic. Our guide, Eric, kept us on fish the whole time we were there. My fishing partner and I usually had fish on at the same time. Have been going each year since 1993. I have NEVER been disappointed. Don’t miss an opportunity to go there. They run a GREAT operation.

My gosh what more could you ask for. We have fished with them many times. Always look forward to the shore lunches. I still say when I retire I am moving to the White River where we will be closer to fish with them all the time. Their guides are very knowledgeable, and are amazing to fish with. We just call Debbie and tell her how many days we want to fish and how many guides we will need, and she takes care of the rest.

I fished here with my father in law and brother in law in the early 90's. I think our guides name was Burl... Had a great time. We caught about 50+ trout releasing most of them. It's good to see things haven't changed. Was thinking of going again soon...

CTD delivered a 5-star experience from beginning to end. We were out all day with Doug and he was a real pleasure. He kept us on the fish while doing so in a supportive, encouraging and humorous manner. The shore lunch was scrumptious and fun to watch. These guys know how to put it together! Debbie the owner was a delight. This experience was worth every penny.

What a fun trip! I'm not big on fishing but hubby is, and he has been several times. The guides are friendly and helpful, and the views are fantastic. Great trip for the whole family. We caught our limit of beautiful rainbow trout both days. We will absolutely be back.

Service was excellent. Debbie is amazing, and she is going to do whatever it takes to make sure you enjoy yourself. Our guide, Greg was extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind. It poured down rain on us all day, and we still came away as happy as can be because of the amazing people.

This place is amazing! My family went here for an overnight camping/fishing trip one weekend in March, and when we got there the temperature was in the 40's and high 30's. It was also raining and we even got sleeted on the first day of fishing. We were pretty unprepared as we didn't expect it to feel that bone-chillingly cold, but Miss Debbie, one of the owners of the Trout Dock, had extra hats, gloves, jackets, and hand/feet warmers. She was incredibly sweet to us, as were the rest of the staff. It felt more like going to grandma's house than a fishing trip!In addition, our guide, Elvin, was very nice. He knew the best places to fish and he was considerate of our discomfort, so he made things as easy as possible. Our cook, Dakota, was one of the best cooks ever! His fried chicken was unbelievable and every meal we had there felt like it should have been in a high-quality restaurant. They provided everything we needed and our tent even had a nifty little propane heater that kept us from freezing.Overall, this was one of the best places we've ever gone fishing! Even though we were cold and wet the whole time, we had a lot of fun and caught some gorgeous rainbow trout. I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Do yourself a favor and come here. It's almost like coming home!

Been using cotter trout docks since I was a kid I recommend the over night trip you are well taken care of its worth it these people will make sure you have a good time they definitely go above an beyond it's a trip you wont forget

I’ve been fishing with them since i was a kid. After 10+ years of not going we went during late November this year and had a great time. The guide was great, the lunch was amazing, and the fishing cant be beat. Highly suggest using this fishing outfit.
