Decent selection but kind of pricey for a lot of the stuff that I look at buying. It's always worth a stop if they have some decent sales going on - which you basically won't know unless you stop by.

I always have a good experience with academy and the employees are helpful when u find one my problem is with the lender they use for the academy credit card. Apparently u cannot use a debit card to pay over the phone u have to give them your routing number for your checking account now I told the lady I wasn't going to and she hung up on me and they want to charge 9 dollars for a transaction over the phone they should have paid me the 9 dollars for having to listen to her for 20 minutes all just to get hung up on and still didn't get my payment made

I buy from here regular but kindly irritating buying a gun here. They say a CCL permit is supposed to speed up the process but they treat you as you don't have it or it sure doesn't seem any quicker

3 workers behind the gun counter. several customers lined up and down the gun counter. All being ignored but one. Asked person if they could help more than one at a time. He said yes grabbed his lunch and left. so I left without buying a gun that I would have bought if any worker behind counter would have helped me.

Bought a gun online.. it came in early for pick up.. Ellis the woman helping me was rude, arrogant, and belittling when she spoke to me as well as other customers.. she really needs to learn how to give customer service and exactly what it means.. I will be shopping elsewhere from now on!

Went for an airsoft gun for my boy. Found what he wanted immediately and got out in less than 15 mins! I also bought a pair of under armor shoes and some sketchers (most comfy shoes I've ever put on!)

The staff was very helpful and courteous! I distinctly remember the cashier because she was very sweet and actually had a very cool sense of humorš. I needed a pair of šŖwork boots, and got what I needed at a decent price! I'm also looking for a pair of men's Nike Shox NZ, Dark Anthracite Gray in a size 10.5. Academy Sports was the only place that had them at a nice price, but I couldn't find my size at the store nor on their website. Any suggestions on where I could find these? Any help is greatly appreciated! š¤ Thanks and y'all have a good'n!

Asked at customer service and 3 different employees for help. Ended up finding the product myself. Waited in a line 5 deep to check out. The entire trip shouldāve taken 20-30 minutes. I spent over an hour, mostly waiting.

Check your pickup order before you leave! Live 20 minutes away and was given the wrong item. Checked online order to be sure the error wasnāt on my end. It was not. Called and was told the only thing they could do for me was to have me drive 20 minutes back to the store to exchange the item. They could have cared less that an employee gave the wrong item and that we (the customer) would have to spend the gas and time to correct to their mistake. Definitely did not go over and above to offer solutions that would encourage me to return to Academy.

During an incredibly challenging time when my mother was hospitalized in Memphis, I purchased a pair of shoes from Academy Sports. Sadly, my mother passed away, and amidst the chaos of settling her affairs and moving, I discovered an issue with the right shoe. Despite having bought it almost two months prior, the Conway, Arkansas branch of Academy Sports went above and beyond to assist me. A special thanks to Amanda, one of the managers, Candice in customer service, and Mike in the shoe department. Their collective understanding and exceptional customer service in the midst of my personal hardships was truly commendable. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and support.

I shop here often but having products on the shelf is hardly what earns the experience rather than customer relations. I very rarely ask for assistance or confirmation on anything but today I was obligated to due to an item marked on the shelf to be on clearance but still rang up full price at the register. I matched up sku numbers multiple times before grabbing the product to purchase. The cashier and I kindly negotiated that the product was on clearance and she needed a price check, no big deal. Whoever was on the other end of her radio reported that it was not and claimed to see no tags related to my needed confirmation. The cashier then gets smirky with me like Iām the problem, upon which I return to the aisle and see that someone has taken the tag down and it shouldnāt have been up in the first place. I then spoke to the rep behind the gun counter who told me that they were not on clearance and that it must be another product that it referred to as if they didnāt already take the tag down.Point is, they had an error on their shelving and thatās okay. The kicker is that they insult my intelligence by telling me that the clearance tag āmayā have referred to a different product rather than admitting to an honest mistake of their storeās doing. I will no longer expect any positive results will I ever need assistance from a store employee again.After all, I hope a negative review will result in some changes in customerās experience. I didnāt deserve the attitude nor did we have to waste any time if they had just said āYea, I see the tag but it should have been removed, the clearance is over on that product. Sorry.ā

I drove an hour to shop here. Staff all over on their personal phones, avoiding serving anyone at all costs. I nearly dropped a boot box on my head because staff not interested in assisting. Checkout had one girl working.Line up with 4 customers waiting.Three staff walked by and couldn't care less. I've shopped at Academy for years and will not bless this store again.

Although it was a great price for the gun I bought, my experience at the Conway store was absolutely horrible and I will not go back.I was buying a gun to hunt with my husband. My husband sent me the link to the gun, I went on the website and reserved it because there were only two left in stock.I went to the Conway store to pick up the gun and they treated me like complete garbage because I didnāt know what I was talking about when it comes to guns. At the end of my experience the manager was extremely rude to me and asked me if I was finished shopping. I explained to her I needed to buy ammo for the gun before leaving. She said āthe ammo is down that isleā I tried explaining to her that I didnāt know what I needed to get she walked me to the isle and said hereās the ammo. I tried again explaining to her that I needed help. She picked up a box and said āthis will work, or any of themā.She explained that she had to walk me to my car with the gun for safety reasons. She hurried me to the front to leave angrily waited in line while I checked out. She was rude to another employee when he asked if she could send someone else up to relieve him from the front. Then to top it all off, she did not walk me and my INFANT to the car, she walked me to the doors put the gun in the cart and walked off.I usually do my shopping at Heber Gun and Pawn in Heber Springs, but decided to give Academy a shot because our original store did not have the rifle we wanted. I will NEVER shop at academy again.

An employee named Brent is a big liar he told me I can sign up for emails and receive deals and coupons through my email but it was actually signing me up for a credit card that I did not want with that store. I called and spoke with the manager and hopefully she talks to her employee like she said she would. He just cannot go around doing stuff like this and get away with it.

Conway Arkansas Academy Sports store's employees (Ricardo and Brianna) and manager (Justin) absolutely restored our faith in humanity!! They all went OVER & ABOVE and helped us bring the true Spirit of the Holidays to a Military family in need!! Ricardo and Brianna helped us look for everything with smiling faces, come up with ideas, and helped us load the cart for children whose Christmas was not going to be so Merry.... Justin, the manager, blessed these children as well as us in a way that will never be forgotten!! We left with heartfelt thanks, hugs, and happy tears!! I will definitely shop there in the future for all of my Grandkids' future sports needs!!

Very helpful people. Told them what I was needing and the contacted someone in that department and went to work on it. Less that 10 minutes later I was going through the check out line. Next they loaded it into my car. And I was on my way. Highly recommend this place.

I have been to Academy a number of times and am always satisfied with my experience. The store is fairly large so I often ask for assistance from an associate and they typically walk me right to the item I am looking for. Their selection of apparel is wide, I wish their prices were a bit lower but they have very high quality items to choose from. I love how many different sections of the store there are so I can get something for my kids, wife, and myself all in one trip.

On August 24th I visited this Academy and I have to say I was quiet pleased with my visit. I was approached immediately asking if I could be helped and the associate took me to the item I was looking for it was that way thru out the store. Very clean and well organized, very friendly and helpful staff. I spent most of my time in Sporting Goods and everyone was really helpful.
