The shelter had such sweet staff who you can tell loves animals very much! I ended up fostering my beautiful cat, Iris, and ended up adopting her 3 days later. This was my first time adopting an animal myself as an adult, and so I loved how the process was easy, simple, and efficient! Iris, herself, is such an amazing cat, and I recommend this place to anyone looking for a forever pet. I will admit, I did get lost trying to get there, but the locals were nice enough to tell me where I went wrong.

This is a good place to volunteer if you're an animal lover. This animal shelter is doing the community a great service. Come walk dogs and/or adopt your new best friend ;D

Like all of the shelters they are full if you want a dog please go there and get one or cats instead of buying from breeders

These folks do so much for the abounded and lost pets in this area, the volunteers are great and have an amazing heart to do what they do as volunteers.

This place is by far the nicest facility I've seen in years. Their staff is awesome. Every single animal gets love and attention. One was getting a medicated bath for mange, another was being treated for heartworm. The animal control should be done through Needy Paws and NOT the current facility. Those dogs most likely get zero attention. I say that from seeing what conditions they live in.

It is a little hard to find turn for Needy Paws. It would be nice if they had a larger sign. In fact it would be nice if they had a larger facility, more finances and more volunteers.. Needy Paws serves a very important function in this community.They have adequate parking wheelchair accessible and when you enter the first thing you see is theckittens playing or sleeping in a glass room. They are so cute, you'd better know why you came or you might be going home with one.Needy Paws has been serving the homeless dogs and cats for enough years to have set up a workable area. There are knowledgeable personnel and multiple ways to volunteer or donate if you have a heart for the homeless but can't take one or another one home.Give them a call and they will let you know their current needs.

Clean, well cared for. The cats were in large enough cages for climbing around and several places and layers. Food and water was fresh, clean and abundant. All cats are relinquished by their owners. They were beautiful and well cared for.The people were friendly, nice and helpful.The dogs are kept in a back room. I didn't see them.

This is an amazing rescue facility. We adore our Marley and are so glad they took good care of her before we adopted her. Her medical records were extremely well kept. She was clean and up to date on everything!

I was there after an absence of a couple months and they have had some remodeling done to the interior and they now have 3 trails you can use to take a shelter dog for a walk on a leash. What a great idea! Good employees and volunteers. Cages have always been clean when I have visited. Very fair adoption prices.

Our experience with Needy Paws as usual was excellent. Bridget McCartney and rest of the Volunteers and Staff do a great job at helping out The people of Clarksville in Johnson County take care of their little Fur Babies. 🐕‍ 🐈‍⬛ 🐕 🐈

They say they “save animals” but when we called about 2 baby kittens less than a week old we found in a burn pile, and needed guidance they wouldn’t help us. They told us that they don’t accept injured animals because they’re not gonna pay for our vet bill. Plus they said they had a waiting list for cats. We just needed some help in what to do from professionals. So for them to “save animals” and be all about seeing growth and helping them find homes, they turned their backs on 2 babies that needed them most. A disgusting non-profit. Idk why anyone willingly gives their time and money to this place. They don’t care about animals unless they can make profit from them.

They do pass out free dog and cat food every 3rd SATURDAY of the month... Adoptable animals are in decent condition... They charge $35 to take strays in

This was my first time going there I told them what I was looking for and my past experiences and they brought out one dog and it was the best dog I've had love it and love their service I still bring my dog back to see them and everyone loves him and he loves them. I wonder if they could do that for a wife for me lol

BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! I drove 2 hours to Clarksville from Bentonville in order to visit a few of the pups. Before driving down, I called the shelter and was greeted by Laurie and Shelbey. Both were fantastic and spoke with me extensively about the various pups at the shelter and various options available for my work travel. When I arrived, Laurie and I spent over an hour playing with various pups until I found my forever fur baby, and Shelbey even consulted over the telephone!Thank you, Needy Paws, Laurie, and Shelbey!!

So, I am interested in a dog at this shelter, and I call several times to try and contact them but they never answer their phone and never call back. So we get there before they close, and they tell us to leave because they are having a "special consultation". I'm trying to adopt a dog and help out your organization, and you turn me away?! Ridiculous!
