If looking for a light hike with sights and nature mild enough for a small kids, you can walk up the side of the waterfall right across the road from the visitor center. Also, there's a trail head and parking across the other road from the visitor center by the landscaped garden and creek. Geo caching here isn't ideal for young kids since the clues take you off trail into dangerous areas. Although, they don't let anyone share that fact in the app. There's also a paved trail back by 412 that allows for an easier walk and better geocaching for kids. This trail doesn't have any sights but is very easy since short and paved.

Had to get a guest pass to put my boat in at Thunderbird. The gal that helped me was extremely friendly and helpful. Price for pass was very reasonable

They could use improvement.Playground: Not much to offer in the whole city. The camp ground.... and bathrooms are usually closed, and that's the only restroom I know of. A few dirty picnic tables and no place to grill or cook! Out of 7 lakes which are beautiful but no place to enjoy anything. Only the 3 biggest even have access to pull up and take in the beauty, none with play grounds. Just the one there by the low water bridge with 1 grill.
