Pay higher price for convenience of shopping here, as opposed to driving further to find Walmart or Kroger. I am increasingly disappointed with the produce department. Very few plant based alternatives available here. My receipt is never right.... I without fail, get overcharged for at least one item every time. & who has the time to go back & argue over ten cents?? & the manager of the produce department is a jerk. I said, "this should be free or trashed & it's not even reduced", in regard to moldy, rotting grapefruit. I got a smirk & a mumble in return.Edit: the only thing I could add is that this store continuously hires teenagers to run cash registers & while I think it's great that the market offers them employment, I don't get the vibe that they really enjoy working. They are terribly unfriendly & impolite, for the most part. So, my point is this ... If you are going to employ kids, at minimum, you need to teach them some manners & some customer service skills. When I speak at checkout with, "How are you today?", I would like to receive a response in return besides an eyeroll.

Prices are outrageously high, but for being the only grocery store in a small town, I can't exactly be too stingy unless I want to drive 15-20 miles either way to Walmart. 🤷

Some of the workers have awful attitudes, act like it's such an inconvenience to even hand a receipt(as was the case yesterday with the skinny guy working the register). Prices are kinda high compared to other grocery stores but if you need something and can't drive the extra 15 miles it's a good option. Main issue is the cashiers, just young kids that would rather play on their phones than do their jobs...

A smaller size store with good selection but the prices are higher than any other place, both smaller and larger stores. I will usually drive on into the largest town 15 minutes up the road when I need something.

I only went in for one item. With the help of a stocker I found what I was looking for. He was very 👍 nice. The cashier was also very friendly. I have driven by the store many times. Today was the first time I have stopped there and the two employees I dealt with both were very helpful. I will go back there for the great customer service.

Being the only grocery store in town, I'm glad this long time establishment is here. But in the last year the checkout people NOT friendly. They bag and walk off with no assistance to customers trying to get out of the store. I miss the days when cashiers were friendly would grab the bag handles and help you grab the bags and didnt leave you just standing there fighting plastic bags. Granted this may be due to covid, but at least smile (even if you dont know the person). Now with that being said- the other staff in store are friendly, and kudos to them!!

I spent $60.00 at this store yet they wanted to charge me for air in my tire. I liked the fried food and the lady seemed ok. Just can't understand about the air.

This is a nice little market, mostly reasonably priced some fruit and veggies are a little high. Overall a great place to get your food. Staff is always kind, understanding and helpful.

Hometown Market is a great local grocery store. Centrally located to Cave City, it carries about every day-to-day item that a person needs around the house. Checkout is fast and easy, it's a pleasant place to shop. For sure.The reason for four stars: I really wish they'd expand their produce to include fresh herbs and other things similar to Kroger... Also, the store overall smells faintly like a trash can inside, which is weird... I really wish the store didn't have an odor, whatever that's about... ?Other than that, I continue to support them.

I absolutely love Hometown Market. Then employees are awesome and very friendly. They have a great selection. They are all local people so it has a very hometown feel. Great place go there almost every day and more often than not multiple times each day.

I don't really like going here, but I have to sometimes. I will say that the shelves do look organized, and I have no complaints about the staff, and it looks like they clean their little dilapidated store frequently, but I sometimes find out of date food here, and their produce usually looks kinda sketchy, which is probably just due to a lack of people buying it quickly. I do not like that the items I really want are not here, all they seem to carry are substitutions, which frustrates me.

Honestly hate this place. WAY OVER PRICED, the produce is always Rotten and most of their items are out of date! So make sure u check them. The prices are doubled some are even triple the amount you would pay at the dollar store or walmart that drive to Batesville is worth it to me. More selection and better prices.

Go there alot for groceries. They have good deals ! Will be shopping there constantly. Close to our home. Very Clean. People are super nice and friendly who work there.

Very nice clean Market .The staff is very helpful and friendly.And when the elderly or handicapp folks need help the staff help carry grocerys out and putt them in their vehicular. I say the kindness is worth more than 5 Stars
