I like running in at Dollar Generals to get what I need pretty quickly instead of running 40 minutes down the road to go shopping. They have a variety of items at reasonable prices for today.

Yes Doller General to the rescue... needed zip straps to do my job... not the greatest in the world but beats driving to next city for bigger ones... Thanks... and lady walked me back to get them instead of pointing and saying down there.

The Cave City DG has been my go-to store since they opened their doors. It seems over the past year or so, they have difficulty keeping staff. The store is no longer tidy & neat. The shelves are often barren. They almost never have dry catfood anymore. It's not uncommon to find aisles blocked by carts of goods that are waiting to be stocked on shelves. My family has chosen to take our business to the Family Dollar down the street & to the DG at Evening Shade, both of which are kept in great condition & have friendly staff.

Overall bad shopping experience! Always out of stock on almost everything I seem to be looking for. Prices sometimes ring up more than what is on the price sticker. Registers malfunction quite often.

Dollar General is the Kroger of the south, it would seem. They are almost everywhere and fairly predictable with what they stock. Not much of any particular thing, but a decent range of basic necessities. They aren't quite a market but more of a convenience store. Don't let the name put you off. There's some decent stuff if you have the right expectations.I gave one less star because the store is frequently disorganized with boxes and mess scattered everywhere. Other than that, it's decent.

Now this is how a Dollar General should be ran. Nicest workers I've ever met. Clean stores. Had everything I needed. If their lines got to long workers stopped what they were doing and checked out customers.

I watch and listened as a the manager followed a customer out side and made them empty their pockets and accused them of stealing. When they did not find anything but what the customer had purchased , she actually said you knew you were caught and put it back. Then proceeded to tell the customer if they saw the person there again they would call the police. I have a problem watching something like that in public and then to threaten people with out proof. I left the parking lot and have never gone back.

The positive reviews...Either fake reviews or paid reviews. I am a bargain shopper, I shop at several Dollar General stores regularly. The Cave City Dollar General is Filthy, Overstocked with a few Common Item's, And Extremely Out of Stock on Everyday Essentials. The Main Employees I believe would not last long as even a Part Time Employee at Any of the other stores. They are not Friendly, Courteous, or Helpful. I would describe them more as Arrogant, Condescending, or Hateful.

Always under stocked, very judgmental rude old lady that was not on clock but still felt necessary to make comments on how “useless” some customers were. Very unprofessional and I will be contacting corporate. Thank you to all other dollar generals that keep their professionalism. :)

Trashy. Dirty not organized everything is just thrown around. The employees stay behind the counter instead of cleaning the shelfs and organizing all the items it's sad things are just thrown on the floor. Worst dollar store. I prefer the dollar store in front of chinquapin

This Dollar General by far is the very largest and best one around. Very clean! Not cluttered with inventory needed to but put up like most of them.

Great as always. Phifer DG is the best! Mrs. Carol is always hard at work, couldn't ask for a more better place to shop. Very organized 👌

They have affordable stuff, but they are always under stocked, most times there is nobody running register, and also a few of the employees seem perpetually disgruntled.

Has most general, everyday items at a reasonable price but lacks in appearance and display. I usually drop by for a quick snack and a beverage.

The guy that checked me out he way to slow wants yo look at everything everyone has I can check faster then that if they can't check you out faster then that get rid of them
