I was going to book daycare for 2 of my dogs. Their website quotes a price, but when you get a price in your account on their website, it's higher. So, I called to get a price & the price the girl on the phone gave me was even higher. None of the prices matched & she said she was new & didn't know what the website showed. Maybe employees should know that. That was weird, so looking for a different place because of that.

I believe I’ve given Kamp K9 plenty of time to resolve these issues. This review is the next steppingstone before I head to the state board to report them.I booked a 9 day stay at Kamp K9 (HWY 5 location) for my senior German Shepherd. My regular sitter had something come up and I took a leap of faith and chose Kamp K9 because of the positive reviews. During booking, I checked off services Body Check ($0.00), Basic Bath (Price Varies), and Text Photo to Owner (listed as $0.00). The estimate I was given was $306 and some change. I confirmed booking, called to confirm over the phone, and confirmed what I needed to bring for him.Drop-off day comes. I asked the female attendant at the front about the Text Photo to Owner. I asked if that was truly text or if it also came to my email. She very clearly stated “it’s both text and email”. For the NINE days my baby was with them, I never received a photo to my text or email. Neither did the emergency contact I had listed on his forms. Not a big deal since this was a free service, right? WRONG. Upon pickup of my baby boy, I was CHARGED for the Text Photo to Owner. A measly $2.50, but nonetheless a charge for a service I did not receive. Not only that, but the total also I paid was way off and more than the estimate I was given. I’ll clarify that, I did receive an automated text message on July 3rd (I dropped him off on the 28th) that advised I had a report card on Venom to review in the booking portal. I follow the log in prompts and… Nothing. A report card link is listed there. There is no information, no photo, nothing. Hardly justification for charging me $2.50. But wait… there’s more.Once I got my baby home, I noticed a small mark on his nose. At first glance, it looked like a little scrape, and I didn’t think anything of it. Once he was asleep, I was able to really assess this “scrape”. It was not a scrape (see photo). I have had the unfortunate experience of seeing many dog bites. While this is tiny, it was definitely a dog bite. An incident that I, and my emergency contact, was never advised of while he was staying at Kamp K9. I called over the weekend to attempt to get an answer to what happened to my baby while he was staying at Kamp K9. I was given the number for the manager but couldn’t get an answer after calling.Fast forward to the 10th, this past Monday. I called to speak to the previously mentioned manager. I was able to speak with him. I was told that the charge would be taken care of. As of the time of this review, it has not. I was told that my baby was for sure in a play area with a Sheltie at one point, but that cameras would need to be reviewed for any more information on what other dogs were around him and what type of altercation happened that would result in the bite on his nose. The manager advised he would call me back the next day, Tuesday, after 2:00. I felt relieved that he offered to speak to the owner of Kamp K9 as well to find the best resolution to this complaint. I never received that resolution call.I’ve called today to attempt to get an update and haven’t been able to reach the manager that promised a prompt update nor anyone at the Kamp K9 HWY 5 location. I have the worst luck, it seems, when it comes to highly recommended and well-reviewed locations throwing their value of service out the window. My baby should have been treated better…bottom line.The bath seemed like it went well. He smelled better when I picked him at least.

I was anxious leaving our dog here because we’d never been here before and our pup can be nervous around other dogs. But every day they sent us pictures of her smiling and enjoying herself. They give you daily updates about how your dog is doing and are quick to respond if you call or text them about anything.I highly recommend this kennel. We moved out of Cabot a few years ago and one of the things I miss the most is being able to board our dog at this facility. I had full confidence in the staff to ensure she had a safe and stress-free stay.

I've been here twice and have been disappointed both times. A couple of years ago, we brought our brand new poodle puppy for his first haircut. They said he was too scared and they couldn't cut him. They could only trim his nails and still charged me $80. I gave them a second try a month ago. The cut was fine, but it was still expensive at $140. I now know that they did not trim or pluck the hair inside his ears, and he now has an ear infection. The form had no option for ear plucking to choose, and it has always been a standard part of grooming a poodle at other groomers that he's been to.

I take my dog to get her nails clipped here and it seems to be hit and miss. Sometimes they do a good job sometimes I am unsure if they even clipped her nails. You aren’t allowed inside which has always bothered me as I like to see how clean a place is. The good thing about this place is they can always get her in even last minute same day. So that’s always good. :)

Unusually have my dogs at daycare at another place but I decided to try Kamp K-9 on Pine Street. I picked my dogs up and the smell of candles was so overwhelming when they opened the door. I brought my dogs home and had to give them a bath because they reeked of the candles. They seemed miserable and just laid in my bed for the rest of the night. I canceled my appt for the next day and let an employee know about this. She told me she would talk with a supervisor and I never heard back. Please stop burning those candles! Just warning the other pet owners.

I should of known that when they got my 3 Shih Tzu in in 2 days and then we were NOT allowed in the door that something was not good. My puppies were there for 7 hours and in that time they gapped up their hair, on the ride home hair was flying in the car because they were not brushed, they all smelled really bad like they had not been bathed. I was really disappointed and to say the least we will not be back. I would not recommend at all.

My dogs love to go there. It's nice and staff is friendly and can usually get in last minute. I always get them a bath and they come home so nice and clean. Definitely a nice place to board your pets.

If I could I would give this business a negative 10. I booked an appointment with them to get my dog groomed. They told me to have him there between 730 and 900 am. I dropped him off at 815 am. At 500 PM they still are not finished with him. He has been cooped up in a kennel all day and its pass his meal time. When I called they stated that they had overbooked for the groomer. So the poor animals have to suffer VERY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. will never go back back there again and will tell everyone I know to stay away.

Tried to take 3 dogs to them. Went through the low cost shot clinic the Saturday prior to groomer appointment. Spoke with a lady on the phone who needed verification of the shots. I called Cabot Animal shelter who stated she could verify them via phone. I called camp L9 back and let them know the information. She advised she would call and verify the shots. This was all around 1pm. I showed up the next morning at 7 like I was told and another lady said they weren’t verified on shots so they couldn’t come in and the Cabot shelter doesn’t open until 8. I think it was very unprofessional to not call back yesterday and let me know before wasting a trip.

My toy poodle loves going to Kamp K9! We always use them to board Andy when we travel and they are so kind to share pictures, daily report cards and never mind the many times I call to check on him. We have started using a maintenance plan where Andy has a set appt every two weeks. He stays clean, always smells good and looking adorable. Jamie is an amazing groomer and I was surprised that it’s doesn't cost much more than taking him every four or six weeks. He has never had a razor burn or a bad groom. Best thing is he is always so excited when he sees her. It’s hard to find groomer that is good and also kind to your pet. If that’s what you want this is the place.

I tried to make an appointment 3 times with this place.. The 1st 2 times I asked them about shots Because he was only 8 weeks old and they said they would call me back and never did . The next time I talk to them they didn't have an appointment until after Christmas . I'm not sure if I will ever try again

I took my little dog to get her nails done. She would not let me stay and hold her. She took her in the back and I hear the loudest Yelp. She brought her out,bleeding on one toe nail and did not finish all of them!

Staff there is rude!!! And will ban you for no reason without telling you anything except your not allowed to come or call anymore... Me or my wife have done nothing but drop off and pick up our dog and had made a friend with one of the employees now we are no longer allowed to call or take our dog there
