This store has some of the worst employees I've ever seen. They are not friendly at all. They don't greet you when you come in, they just stare at you like why are you coming in & bothering them. They don't greet you when you come to the registers. Most of the time all they say to you is your total. There is no thank you, have a great day when you leave. I've been in customer service a long time. It's the little things that can go a long way. They need to learn that. I will say there was a younger lady that worked there that was always super friendly. I haven't seen her the last couple of times, so I'm not sure if she's still there.

Workers are lazy and incompetent. I've been here about 6 times in past 4 weeks and still out of mashed potatoes and brown gravy. They don't know how to order or restock stuff. Needs a whole new staff team.

Lived in Bismarck 2 years and used this store occasionally because of the convenience. Each visit was about a 50/50 chance that they'd be out of essentials (milk, eggs, OJ, flour, etc), while non-essential isles were crammed with stock waiting to be shelved, to the extent you could not navigate a cart through them. Staff was rude and unfriendly with a couple of exceptions.Found out later the store had a staff shortage...ok that helps explain things. I needed a job at the time and spoke with the store manager who told me they were "desperately" hiring. She told me how to apply online. I did. To this day I have yet to receive any sort of follow up or interview. I even specified that I WANTED to work the unpopular hours...the hours the store manager said she had such a hard time filling. Store manager said she wanted "good people willing to work". I was very friendly, dressed well, and tried to make a good impression and show I was a hard worker.The store manager is an irritable, mean-spirited lady who will lie to your face. Don't bother applying here if you need a job. If you look like you might remotely be a threat to her position, your application will be ignored, meanwhile she'll tell you they "desperately" need "good people". It isn't just fat cats sitting in a corporate office who make working for these companies difficult, it's small-town petty managers like this woman who do the same thing. Lies and evasion. Wish I could tell her that I have absolutely no aspiration to manage a Dollar General the rest of my life, I just needed a steady job.

Update* They close before their posted hoursI like to go when they have certain employees on shift due to 1 of the employee is very rude, has her b/f or husband in the store all the time hollering real loud and she has had a lot of traffic in the store that wasnt shopping for Dollar General, she would be talking more than she would work, take a long time to go to the check out when there has been a line for a good few minutes.As for 4 of the employees, you 3 ladies and 1 gentlemen are awesome, and thank you for keeping the store going, cleaned, stocked, helping the community and doing your job, they alone deserve more than 5 stars each!

The cashier Tiffany Schee was very knowledgeable as to where products were at. She was also very pleasant at checkout, making sure I had all my bags before leaving... I will most definitely be shopping here again ... Wish more employees were as courteous as she is...

The aisles were blocked by carts full of boxes and I couldn't get through the aisle. Workers were blocking the shelves and would not move. No one cared to take care of the customers. They were having too good of a time talking and laughing to notice anyone was trying to shop.😐

The Bismarck location has very friendly and helpful staff, and granted, is the only real store in a small town, but this store is literally ALWAYS out of stock of most things needed most..or items are outdated. Even the items that aren't marked out of date seem to go bad as soon as you get them home. This would be a perfect store if it was bigger, had more selection and an inventory to accommodate the demand.

Good little store for stocking up while at DeGray. They have a pretty good selection of food and snacks as well as sundries. You won't find specialty items and there isn't a huge selection of anything but they have most of what you might need. They are conveniently located at Hwy 7 and 83.

Always very friendly and willing to help.. Great crew. They need at least 1 or 2 extra workers to help with stock. They are extremely busy. Love Dollar General in Bismarck Arkansas

The older short haired lady is constantly screaming at the top of her lungs, even if the person is right in front of her and shes usually screaming about personal issues. Not pleasant at 7am! And the other women just seem to stand around and in the way while you're shopping and never want to come to the register when you're ready to check out. They just wait for someone else to do it. Anyway, it's the only grocery like store in Bismarck so no wonder its $5 for a bag of frozen chicken nuggets. Wish that one younger guy was still working there. He was really helpful and friendly.

The closing lady was very rude and made sure everyone in the store knew she was closing. Telling customers they had to help her put merch away if they were still there after 10. I prolly won't be returning to the DG in bismark. Atleast during evening hours.

Why does every DG seem like it's so cram packed with stuff you can hardly walk the aisles? This one is no different. The people that work here are pretty nice and seem helpful though.

Stores is good i could not get thr on-line help to get the discount coupon Digital Coupons saying couldn't get on it did it for hours still haven't got it no one would answer their phones and they were open corporate online thing not the store store was very helpful still haven't got my digital coupons I wish somebody could help me get my username and password code working. Couldn't get the last step done still still haven't got it done maybe somebody could help me get it so I can get my digital coupon that was the main reason I went there it's a little out of my way but I went there to do that and still can't get it two weeks later I was just tired of pushing buttons on my phone still can't get the last seemed done to get my account open it keeps telling me someone else has is to somebody else has the password but it won't let me send it same address they just can't get it together online I'm sure it's me but they could help me do it. Very disappointed with the digital coupon slash that could never get it done no response just to code that can get put on. Still need to get to username and password all right all right on the phone remember the same one I put in but it just won't go in or open my account I don't know what's wrong could be me that I don't know. No one would contact me on how to Finnish last step still haven't gotten donethey were busy it kept saying almost done almost there but not there still not done

Come to the Bismarck Dollar General it's nice it's clean whale stuck with product all of the staff is very nice if you need something they will point you in the right direction need cash register door fixed and the lights to come on automatically all around the building and the parking lot

Customer service is decent, product quality is on par for the price. Being a small store, huge selection shouldn't be expected, but most of the necessities are covered, and at comparable prices.

Well stocked, only real local place in town besides the gas station to buy anything you forgot at home for your camping/fishing trip

they have a new phone number have not changed it went to try to call them and now I'm going to have to drive all the way back there to find my glasses they need to change the website in their phone number because you cannot call the 865 no more
