I had many collar vendors to choose from but I wanted a collar made in the USA and I preferred to order from a family owned business. I found both with a nice family in the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas. The collars are hand made with durable rock climbing rope and a secure clasp made in 2 different materials and they have fabulous colors. What I really like is that the collar has an extra layer of protection for my dog’s neck. The extra material is behind the FI3 device on neck so it doesn’t dig in her throat or hurt her neck if she pulls hard during walk. Did I mention that each collar is hand made special for your dog? They also have a safety check that you are ordering correct size. They ask you to measure and choose collar size then they ask you your dog’s neck size. This is my second rope hounds collar and I will always order my collars and leashes from this family run business. I would get the bigger size if you’re in between sizes or your pup is growing. My pup was a small last year but now she grew one inch in neck so I had to order a medium. Thank you Rope Hounds for your great service and your wonderful products. I especially liked that you take extra care making collars that protect my dog’s neck by putting that extra material between FI3 and my dog’s neck. It shows you care about all the pup’s safety when making products. They are fast shippers and easy to work with if you have any questions. I highly recommended Rope Hounds for your collars, leashes and more. Treats are yummy too! My dog loves them.

I probably own 5 Rope Hound leashes and seatbelt clip at this point. I even commissioned a custom leash that they made in like a day. The rubber grip (believe this is separate piece now to help with wear) saves my hands. The urban handle is helpful to keep your dog close in crowds while keeping length available in open areas. The splitter is super handy walking 2 pups, too. I love the versatility and quality of products plus I get to support a local dog business.

These leashes are my go too for everything! They are more sturdy than any other leashes I've ever tried! The grip on the end is great for puppets as well, doesn't even hurt your hand. The 2 ft leash I have is so colorful and great for dogs that tend to pull since the length is perfect! The bottle openers on the leashes are so useful along with the urban handle! Best company ever!!!

Great place to grab a beer, get a collar or leash, and chill on the patio. The great staff made me a collar in a few minutes since the color I wanted wasn't pre-made (see picture). BTW, they have a great taco truck next to the patio! Don't hesitate to grab your puppy and enjoy the environment 🤘🏼

Rope hounds has been by far the best leash I have ever owned. The absolute best perk about it is they have a bottle opener on it, for any time beer. Every single color of rope leash they have can be used for ANY time. Very fashionable. I have a beagle, and she pulls A LOT. These leashes are very sturdy and the best I’ve ever owned!

By far, the best leashes we’ve ever encountered! They are so durable, and the extra handle on the Urban leashes is great for tight places on hikes, or just when you’re out walking and want that extra security of knowing you can handle your dog. The splitter has been a life changer having two dogs. I love all of the vibrant colors, the padded handle feels great, and who wouldn’t want a bottle opener on each leash?! I recommend these to all of my friends and family, and the customer support is amazing too!!

The owners are super nice and helpful. They even allowed us to look around even after they had closed. Have a great selection of leashes and collars, even Fi compatible collars. The prices are a little high but they are handmade on site and they offer to replace or fix anything that wears out. The leashes and collars are made from climbing rope so they are light and very durable. They are local so great to support local businesses.

My 12 year-old twins and I stumbled onto the store by accident. On our first visit, they picked out a leash in a color that wasn't in stock in the length we needed. Without missing a beat, the owner offered to make it for them! This may seem like an insignificant point to those without young kids - but that gesture made a big impression on my kids and an even bigger one on me. The owner knew we would have settled for the leash in a different color or different length, but he went out of his way to make sure the kids got the color they wanted.We loved our Rope Hounds leash so much we returned the following week to buy one for a friend. The leashes and collars are the best I've ever found. The fact they're handmade in the US right here in Northwest Arkansas makes them even better.Highly recommended.

It’s sad to post this- obviously at some point they had good customer service. Now I have to say- do not buy their collars or leashes- I bought one of each for Christmas. Not cheap! By March the plastic clasp on the collar broke & the comfort grip on the leash is completely ripped. I reached out to their customer service & they will replace the collar plastic with metal but only if I pay for shipping to them. I am very disappointed that they don’t cover this cost when I already purchased their pricey collar that lasted only 3 months. They said they will mail me a replacement grip- that is still pending. Overall, very lacking in quality & customer service. For the price, it’s just not worth it if it doesn’t last.

No welcome or greeting when coming into the store even though three employees were present. A particular employee was in the way of checking the collars even though I was trying to see the items. There was no clear indicator where the advertised event was taking place as supposedly there was to be some kind of spa event for dogs and more. These issues made me feel unwelcomed and awkward to stay any longer. I was disappointed in the end as I was truly interested in the event for National Dog Day.

When @thehikingsetter and I are out for an adventure, my go-to leashes are from @ropehounds. This local Northwest Arkansas company puts out a solid leash made out of climbing rope that is both practical and durable for all types of adventures. They have tons of different lengths to fit your specific leash needs and and even have a splitter which is great for two pups. If your in the market for a new leash, I’d recommend getting one from Rope Hounds

We love Rope Hounds! Got their Fi compatible collars and they are awesome. They solve a serious problem with the original Fi collars (you cannot leave them on your dog when the Fi is charging). Great stuff!
