My 81 year old mother just moved to this area. She took her Cavashon in to be groomed. Obviously, they do not know how to cut this style of dog. They quoted $82 but then charged her $87 when she came to pick her dog. When she gave them her card they charged her $91. They told her they charge more for using a card. She told them no one told her that or she would have gotten cash. Then they brought the dog out to my mom and she was just cut short all over! It looks terrible!! They cut her eyelashes and ears short. They told my mom she was matted and they had to do that. That was a straight up lie. She was not matted. Furthermore, it took so long for them to get it done. They told my mom that the guy that began the cut had to leave so they had to wait for someone else to take over and finish the job. Not only did they take advantage of my elderly mother with the charge, they did such a terrible job. On top of that, they said they couldn’t trim her nails much because her pads are too big. This dog has gone to groomers her entire life and no one has ever said they couldn’t trim her nails. This place is terrible! My mom will never be back here again!! We are all livid with this experience!The first picture is how her previous groomer out of state cut her. Beautiful! The next two pictures are what Barkberry did, chopping off the hair on her ears and completely shaving her tail! Worst grooming job EVER!! Do yourself a favor and do not bring your dogs here!!

I rarely ever do reviews but I felt the need to after our last visit.I have a mini poodle who has been to a few different groomers in his 2 years of life. So far Barkberry Place has gotten him as short as we like. Last Thursday he went for a groom. When I called to check on him before I made the 45 minute drive to pick him up during the awful storm we had. They informed me that there had been an incident with the clippers and that he got nicked.I appreciate that they told me when I called, when they called to tell me he was ready and when I picked him up. They showed me exactly where it was. Unfortunately since it wasn't small enough to heal on its own he had to go get stitches. But Barkberry was there calling and checking in on him and making sure he was okay and was going to be okay.They could have been like other places I've seen reviews for when a dog gets nicked and the owners aren't made aware. But it wasn't like that they even went as far as to reimburse us for the vet visit.After over a year of going this was the only incident we have ever had. And we will definitely still be coming to see them when he needs to be groomed.

Love love love this place!We’ve been there two to three times now and it’s always excellent. Excellent service excellent care excellent results! The ladies in there are always nice and wonderful. They take great care of our dog. Our dog always looks amazing! They always are sure to ask about grooming needs and not just assume it’s what you had the previous time! Love that they add little bows when you come pick your dog up! So cute! We’ll always come here!!!

I took my Maltese here for over a year, and loved it for the first little while, until the past handful of months. I would drop him off in the morning, and they would give me an estimate of 2-4 hours. I understand this is an estimate, but the last two times I took him, they didn’t even start on his haircut until he’d been there for four or more hours already. In the earlier days of taking him, they once finished his full groom (bath and haircut and nails) in 45 minutes.The very last time I brought him, I asked for the same haircut I ask for every single time I’ve taken him. The fluffier cut pictured is what I always ask for (and always got), versus what I got the last time. Even the last few fluffy cuts I got were messier, compared to what I was getting six months ago.When I complained about the shave my dog got, Lisa told me that they all thought he looked cuter than he ever has. I was not offered any sort of refund or reimbursement or anything like that. $70 for him to come out looking like an alpaca.

They care about the pets here. My dog has had anxiety issues at other groomers, to the point where I’ve been called. My dog never has an issue here and comes home beautiful and smelling amazing.

Wonderful staff and clean space. My standard poodle left clean and happy. Will definitely come here again and recommend to everyone. I like that they have a drop off period 7am-noon then they call when your pup is ready.

While I appreciate the ability to get in quickly, I must say I'm rather disappointed with the quality of the job and the professionalism of the staff. When I made the appointment, I specifically requested to add a teeth brushing to my dog's grooming. When I went and picked her up, it was not done and the employee processing the transaction seemed very annoyed with me that I requested to have it be done. I'm not entirely convinced they did it even after the request and me paying for it. Also, upon closer look at home, I also don't think her nails were trimmed at all considering there is still dirt under most of them nor were her paw pads trimmed as there is still long hair between each pad. Overall, not a great first experience.

We've used Barkberry for 4 years but today's visit will be the last. It takes far too long to get an appointment. Beyond that, the unexpected cost increases are unacceptable. When we first began using, a grooming session cost around $60. In April of 2023, the same service was up to $90. Three months later, the cost of the same service was $142.35. A $50 increase in 3 months?! Simply obnoxious. There is no value in being loyal to Barkberry.

We have 2 senior pups. 1 has anxiety and 1 has sensitive ears. We had the best experience ever in the grooming world today. I even got a phone call verifying the hair styles before they started. My dog did not come out shaking for the 1st time in 5 years. My Mom's dog came out adorable with her Bichon haircut. From the time I booked the appointment, met the girls up front, received the call within 2 hours that they were ready, and pick up, we are very pleased! They look adorable!Already booked next appointment.

Lisa took care of my sweet 20 year old Yorkie. He’s not the easiest by ANY means due to him being blind and mostly deaf at this point. She took her time and showed him the upmost care and compassion to get him cleaned up and he’s been snoozing and comfortable since! They also took care of my itty bitty fur nephew Tank who’s a whopping 2 pound yorkie and he looks so stinking adorable. Lisa is a true advocate for all dogs and loves them like her own and expects the same from the people she trusts to bring in as groomers.

I have been taking my golden doodle here since she was a puppy. She has the mildest/calmest temperament of any dog I have ever had. A few months ago I noticed a grooming cut afterwards and let it go. When I picked her up not a word was mentioned about the cut. Today all good reports and when taking her bandana of she has a gash in her neck. Once again- not a word was mentioned when we picked her up. Absolutely furious!

They do a fantastic job every time! I usually get a pick-up call about 2-3 hours after drop off, so very quick turn around. Front desk is super sweet as well.After grooming her myself one time, I realized what a little gremlin my dog can be. Apologies to the grooming staff, we’re working on her being less of a jerk.

I have been going here for 8 plus years and I have never had this experience. I came to pick up my two precious puppies and I did not recognized my 14 month old. They completely shaved her WHOLE body even her tail, the WHOLE tail!!! I told them that she had mats and I know that she would need to be shorter, but I NEVER dreamed they would completely shave her!!! The worst part is they didn't even call me they just did it!!!! And for some reason they shaved half of my older dogs tail, it's terrible!! Pretty sad to have been customer for so long and be treated this way. We will not be coming back!!!

VERY HAPPY with Barkberry! We brought our 9 month old Aussiedoodle who was a mess- not knotted up but just super overgrown and needed a good bath and groom. I’ve tried to cut his hair myself before and it’s such a big job, so I know how much work these groomers had to do to get him looking this good! They didn’t shave him, they listened to me about what I wanted and he turned out PERFECT! I am absolutely happy with Barkberry and we will be returning customers for sure!

Barkberry sets itself apart from the many other groomers I've been to over the past 23 years in NWA. They get to know you and your pet, they're proactive in reporting to you anything that is worth observing about my dogs behavior and are very very accommodating. Lisa, the owner, interacts with clients and the staff all seen very happy.

I've taken my dog here twice, and both times I've gone in to what sounds like a kennel's worth of dogs barking in the back. When booking a session with their groomers, they will keep your dog for 4+ hours. Even if you're one of the first ones to walk in the door right after opening. They do a decent job cutting their fur, but even for a shaping session they will keep your dog for hours on end.

We were looking for a place that would work with our 4 month puppy, since he has never been groomed. We were glad to know that they do a puppy introduction that does a lot more than just a trim at a good price. Upon our arrival, The staff were very informative, helpful and Friendly. They did such a great job on our Goldendoodle, he looked great and smelled really good.

Highly recommend!!! Took my 135# Newfoundland in for bath and groom, they did an amazing job. Aspen was his groomer and I give her 5 stars! Customer service was amazing. Can't say enough good things about this place!!

In my experience they have great handling experience and I never feel at odds with a large breed that is difficult with other large breeds. I think they service a lot of small breeds with good results but they really do a great job with my Pyrenees mix. Reasonably priced for what its worth and they have the cutest little clip bows and handkerchiefs when you get your clean fur babies back...
