He never fails to tell you “God Bless You” or something similar when you leave and is the friendliest face when you walk in. David from receiving is an exceptional employee. He went out of his way to assist me in finding a master link for a go cart. Although they didn't have it, he was very professional and accommodating. I told him I didn't find what I was looking for and he walked me all the way back just to double check for me. Hard to find service like that everywhere but this whole team seems to have it down pat. Thanks David, you've created a customer for life.

Academy in Bryant is pretty good. They usually have what you are looking for. The store was well stocked and clean. The folks working are really nice and helpful. If they are having a sale on guns, be prepared to wait a few because they usually only one person working trying to help everyone.

I had been putting off buying my son a bicycle for a while. His birthday was in a week, and he was turning five. I knew it was time for him to learn how to ride, but I was a little overwhelmed by all the different choices out there.I decided to go to Academy Sports to get some help from the experts. I walked into the bike section and was immediately greeted by a friendly employee.The employee helped me find the perfect bicycle for my son. It was a blue bicycle with training wheels, and it was on sale for less than $100.I paid for the bicycle and took it home. My son was so excited when he saw it. He couldn't wait to go for a ride.We took the bicycle to the park that night. My son was a little nervous at first, but he was determined to learn how to ride. With my help, he was able to ride the bicycle on his own within a few minutes.He was so happy and proud of himself. I was so happy for him. I'm so glad that I went to Academy Sports to buy my son a bicycle. The employees were helpful, and I was able to find the perfect bike for my son at a great price.But most importantly, my son is having a blast riding his new bicycle. It's been a great way for him to get exercise and have fun. I'm so glad that I decided to buy him a bicycle for his birthday.

We were looking for work shoes for my husband, also got fuzzy socks for me and a dog bed. All great quality and good prices. Here's a hint, look at their website if you're not in a hurry, you might save. The staff and cashier were really professional and friendly, not in your face pushy sales type, but knowledgeable if we wanted information. Store and bathroom were clean, bright and well organized.

My husband ordered a shot gun. Went to pick it up. The "gentleman" in the sporting goods department was very rude from the very beginning. He just argued to argue. (It was literally about height and weight) anyway on the I-Pad my husband answered all the questions but he either didn't read through the entire question and answered that one incorrectly but the other question was had he ever renounced his citizenship. Obviously, he has not. Even the other gentleman said that sometimes, when you swipe to the next page, it will inadvertently change your answer. However, that is not my complaint. I get that rules are rules. (As a service company, he might have read through the questions before submitting them to verify the machine hadn't inadvertently changed an answer)They refused to sell me a gun because of it!!! And that is infringing on my 2nd Amendment right. IF I answered the question wrong, that would be one thing, but they wouldn't even allow me to fill out a form.

I was in the Benton store today/didn't purchase anything. Upon deciding to leave the store a white gentleman exited the sliding doors before I exited/notification went off that a sensor was left on an item.He kept walking/I didn't notice anything in his hands.And the only thing I had was my Fannie pack across my shoulder/a sanitizer wipe in my hand. Stephen came 🏃‍♂️ after me/stated that I caused the notification to go off.So he just out right accused me of stealing. Whatever I want out of there I can pay for it. Spoke with Cheri the assistant manager/ she tried to justify them leaving sensors on items.....Someone was coming in entrance with an item/showed Stephen that she had sensor left on jacket that she purchased earlier. No excuse or justifying his actions. Horrific experience/I will not ever do business with them again. If the young lady had not shown him the sensor it could have gone south.

They were out of a lot of lures but said I could always order online. Didn't really check out anything else.Did use the restroom which was nasty! There were napkins and toilet tissue all over the floor. The trash bins were overflowing and used towels on the floor around them. There was tissue in the one stall that didn't have tissue stuck all over it or a trash bag completely covering it. The good stall had urine all over the seat and the giant roll of tissue you had to use was just laying on top of the dispenser. Worst bathroom ever.The lady that checked us out was pleasant.

I called the store three times over a two-day period. They checked, double-checked, and triple checked on a firearm they said they had in stock. After a 90 minute Drive I get to the store and they tell me they don't have that particular firearm. Then they try to sell me a variation. I just turned around and left in disgust. Highly disappointed.

I’m glad to have an Academy Sports in my community. I don’t shop there frequently and there is nothing overwhelmingly excellent about the store in Benton, AR. But, at the same time, this store is consistently rock solid good. The door greeter is always in place with a friendly welcome. A small touch but its nice. Also a thank you for shopping Academy on the way out. They’re always pretty well stocked with the merchandise that’s supposed to be there. And I’ve NEVER seen the store in a state of messy chaos. They consistently keep it clean and organized. Good job Academy 👍

I went to get a pair of shorts today and I saw on my tag 2 different stickers, one showing a price of $22.50 and one for $24.50. I asked my cashier what the price was, she said it was $24.50, so I asked why the tag price would show lower than what they're going to charge me... Her response "I don't know, I'm just a cashier, I guess I could ask someone." I said "yes, please do". She then just finishes scanning everything and tells me the total at the $24.50 price, absolutely no intentions of asking anyone and at this point she acts like she is annoyed. I then just paid and said nothing because clearly these people arent trained or capable of more than the little that theyre doing. Do your customers a favor, maybe if you mark things down and then back up then remove the lower price tag. The minute you show customers it's worth less to you, then it's also worth less to us!

I would give it less if I could. It’s impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. And if you place an online order and they don’t have that color in stock, you have about a 5 second window to answer that phone when they call or you aren’t getting anything. If you call back and Andrea answers in online order department, she will not work with you at all. It’s her way or the highway, which is an insane mindset for a minimum wage job. Customer service at this place is trash. You can’t get a manager, they actively don’t want you to speak to a manager because they don’t want you exposing them for not actually “working”. I hope corporate does a surprise audit on this place and it gets closed down.

This place is my go to for all my sporting good needs except disc golf, they are limited in that. Ammo, ARs, camping, running, everything... way better than that "D" store! I also love their Arkansas clothing along with all the other great clothes. I do wish they gave Military and Teacher year round that is holding up the 5 star!

Great place to find shoes on a budget great styles. Went to 3 malls they didnt find ones they liked or they were out of there size academy sports had them and under 60$ each.thanks for makeing the first day such a success

I tried on several items and was prepared to make a $200 clothing purchase. When I got to the check out there were 6 people waiting and there was a problem with the person's purchase that was at the register. They only had one check out open. I dropped the clothing and ordered the same things ofrom Amazon. Delivered to me hassle free.

I have a zt knife that has been in storage and visited the knife department to inquire about an address and phone number to arrange to get a blade for it. The blade having been cracked when manufacturer had pressed the opening stud . The employees were very helpful and provided everything needed. Afterward I found out the store no longer carries Zt cutlery. I greatly in appreciate the help.fantastic service. Even when they dropped the product.

I’ll never buy another Magellan brand (owned by Academy) item again. Total trash. Disappointing quality for an item produced by an outdoor and sporting goods store.The first purchase was a kayak paddle from this store in Benton. It broke during the first trip out. Second was a pair of Magellan outdoor pants. The elastic waistband broke on the second use, rendering them useless.NEVER AGAIN! Do yourself a favor and buy Columbia brand or another reputable brand.

I went into the Benton store on 9-3-22 to look at a rifle. I was met by Hunter at the firearm counter who was knowledgeable and courteous. He was quick to answer all my questions, get the "paperwork" done and have me on my way. I truly appreciate the awesome customer service Hunter provided.
