We had an appointment for our husky a few weeks ago, my husband took off work to bring her, and the groomer did not show up… I gave them the benefit of the doubt and rescheduled. We are new to the area, and because of the moving process our husky is overdue for a groom. Today I brought her in to her rescheduled appointment, warned them at both appointments that she does not like water and like MOST huskies will howl and be dramatic. They informed me that it was their last appointment and she would probably be done after 5 pm. I drive all the way home, just to get a call at 1 pm that they cannot groom her because, “She is not allowing us to do what we need to do and is trying to bite us.” I have taken her to 5+ different groomers and NEVER had this issue. Our dog has never tried to bite any groomer or ANYONE in that matter. I feel like because she was overdue, they did not want to take on the task. They were charging over double what we used to pay to get her groomed, and I was willing to pay it. Due to the lack of consideration with our schedules, and frankly lack of experience grooming huskies, we will not be returning. Thanks for a waste of time.

Awesome place! The ladies are so nice and do a great job!!! The price was great and I was super happy with how both my dogs turned out. My husky has awful fur that is hard to take care of, groom, and bath. And they did fantastic at getting all his undercoat out. Love this place, I will be using them from now on!

My German Shepherd was a scraggly, shedding MESS when she arrived. But a short while later, after she had a full spa-day treatment by some ladies that LOVE dogs, she looked like the princess she believes she is! She smelled amazing, had a cute little bandana to sport, and her fur was softer and better brushed out than I knew possible! Her nails were trimmed, and she had a smile as though she enjoyed the special treatment every step along the way. With a better price than local Big-Name locations, we both left happy! I'll bring my princess back to this spot FOR SURE. Now, get your little furry buddy here to treat her just how she deserves; like a princess!

The pro is that they are very nice. The cons are that they only take cash, it always smells like they just came in from smoking, and worst of all three is that they aren’t open when they say they are. Both Google and their sign says they close at 5 o’clock. They just close when they feel like it.

I have a full size standard poodle that was very hard to groom since he still had his very long winter coat on. They called me and updated me all day, he was in a great mood when he got home, and he looks fantastic. Would recommend!

They changed my matted mongrel into a pretty pretty princess. Finn loves her visits to Cut Above Salon - from the friendly staff that deal with her "hello" barks to ever passing person and her playtime with the other small dogs. We would not go anywhere else!

So.. used to be okay with this place! Despite the rest of this review, I do like the grooming work they do! The prices are good as well! I use them about every 3 months, so pretty faithful. But also brush and bathe my own dog in between. Goldendoodles have curly hair of course, so I tend to it more often than any other dog I've ever had. Have had a full grooming service and just a bath/brushout/trim around the eyes service here. My only two issues in the beginning was the strong smell of smoke inside and the unprofessionalism. This last time we picked up, they were hateful about having a hard time with his curly hair. Accusatory saying that its not maintained and that we have to come every 3 weeks if we "just aren't ever gonna brush him". Then charged double because it took longer. Which, I do technically understand the longer the time, the more money it costs, but when does the line get drawn? They don't charge extra at daycare if your child is worse one day to the next. We are loyal customers who frequent Cut Above and they have never had any issues with him. They could have just decided to charge me $200 and what would I have been able to do about that? I'm not upset about the more money, even though it sucks. I'm upset because they were rude and kind of offensive. To act annoyed with your customer who always tips well and is extra kind to you, is just horrible. It turns me off and makes me not want to go back because then I wonder if they were patient with my baby dog or if they were mean to him.. to top it off, after the rude phone call we get there to pay them and pick him up, not one person comes to the front. We stand and wait for a few minutes. The whole time can hear them talking in the back so we open the door multiple times so they can hear the chimes go off. Stand and wait some more then finally we literally went behind the counter to get our dog just running around left the money on the counter and walked out. They don't take card. They take a super long time to answer the phone (if they ever do on the first call) and when you drop off about half the time they have issues even finding the booking so again turn accusatory that you even actually made an appointment.just so many things have added up over time that I'm just kind of over it and honestly don't deserve my business if they are going to be hateful and I have no idea what to expect from visit to visit. It stresses me out to have my dog there all day long when they can't show that they have an organized system.

A cut above huh? Should be a hair below! Terrible experience with the people. Dropped our dog off for his 11am apt the lady told me wife she could call and check in on him in a few hours. So my wife called at 1pm to check on him lady said the groomer was fixing to start on our dog so give them a call back in and hour. Know I’m sure about the rest of you but if someone says call back in an hour wouldn’t you? Well that’s wrong. My wife back in a hour and the lady got very rude with her. Said “ugh you know this is the second time you have called” are serious!!!???? Then goes to say our dog was difficult to cut. No we have a little yorkie. I mean come on. The main thing he does is sit while he’s getting cut. So my wife goes to pick him up and both ladies were still extremely rude. My wife explained why she called the second time and the lady said and I quote “ that’s just something we say, no one really does call back and check!” Haha what a joke this place was. Terrible experience and did not earn our business.

This was my first time taking my puppy to the groomer. Was worried no one would be able to cut her because she is so hyper and squirmy. They did a great job and she smells good too! Will definitely be coming here to get her cut again.

My dog was traumatized for several days after being there for 8hrs. He was trimmed but poorly. Finding out after a few days Vet said they heard same stories of dogs being traumatized from this place. Don't take a dog here if not use to grooming.

I have went 4 times now and they have done exactly what I have asked. Good buisness!! To me it's no big deal but they do smoke inside their building. I am a non smoker and I dont smell smoke on my dogs so that's a plus.

Worst place ever!!!!! Rude as all get out they tell you to call and check in on your animal then get nasty on the phone and in person never go back again. I was completely nice and doing as they said and they act like they don’t care about you or the pets. Never again

Very rude and unprofessional. I was told it was an inconvenience for them to stop what they were doing to answer the phone. I’m sorry but the telephone is an integral part of your business. A little diplomacy goes a LONG WAY. I highly don’t recommend.
