Fresh produce, always a good selection. The aisles are pretty narrow, 2 carts have a hard time passing. But a great alternative to Walmart and I love that they have self checkout now.

They do not honor their online sale ad prices!Even if you clip the digital coupons you have to double check your receipt before leaving to make sure, or watch very carefully as everything's rung up and alert the cashier if it's the wrong price, which they seem to absolutely hate and get an attitude about.Three times in the last month I've been told "not at this store" when I tell them what the price is in their online ad after being charged too much.I write it all down right on my shopping list so I get the right thing, and I'll even show them on my phone what the ad says, they make me feel like I'm crazy or something for believing what I can see with my own two eyes. What's the point of making people have to use the site/app to get deals if we can't rely on those sales being accurate to your store?Any other location honors the ad prices, Batesville Kroger is the only one I've ever had an issue at.

Twice as expensive than Walmart, with less selection. I'm glad I wasn't picking up anything from the pharmacy the line was seven customers deep with one person working the line. I won't be going back anytime soon.

They're a little more expensive but they have very high quality products and specialty items you can't get elsewhere. Like happy eggs.... Free-range organic eggs for less

This store is generally clean & tidy. Produce department is nice with good selection. Friendly staff. They often don't have enough cashiers open, but they have added self-checkout, which is great for a speedy in & out trip. A year ago, this store carried a fair amount of plant-based food options, however recently, they have stopped offering plant-based cream cheese, only one plant-based cheese option Daiya slices. They do currently offer Kite Hill vegan sour cream & ricotta, although the ricotta is priced at almost $11. I'm happy to see they are still offering Just Egg & multiple plant-based meat alternatives. Great selection of plant-based milk alternatives! Also, of note, they offer Hidden Valley plant-based ranch dressing & Primal Kitchen vegan alfredo sauce. If they would up the ante on plant-based options, I could entirely eliminate the dreaded trip to WM from my life altogether!Update: Nice produce! I save considerably here, if I take the time to browse the app for coupons before shopping! Kroger app is user friendly.

Disappointing! Worst Kroger I've ever seen . From the parking lot to selection. Location is terrible , I used to love Kroger!

I normally am great with our Kroger store in Batesville AR. They manage it well for the most part. However this new self check out system is absolutely ridiculous! It won't allow you to go fast at all. It makes you literally wait several seconds in between each item until it is recognized by it's electronic system that you've put the item in your bag. If you want to skip bagging then you must push that feature each and every single item that you scan! Perhaps OK for a few items, however I was forced to use this self check out for my large cart of groceries because at peak hours... 6:15 pm, They had 1 cashier working the front! ONE CASHIER! I've worked for Kroger. I've been a cashier, cashier supervisor, and was learning to do payroll when I quit for personal reasons. Our manager at the time was John Ed Smith. A wonderful man and manager! Its too bad he retired a number of years ago. Hopefully something will be done about this. I will NEVER waste my time with your self check out again unless it's literally 5 items or less, and if there is only one cashier on the floor again during peak hours, I will leave my cart where it sits and go.

I love the fresh produce here, and they have excellent food choices and quality. However they definitely need to change store setup. It's very busy ( for good reason) but it's very congested when checking out or even shopping. It's difficult to even pass another cart in the aisles due to the narrow aisle. Also I am a huge fan of self/express check outs and it's kinda a pain to wait in line 20 or 30 minutes to check out for a few minutes. I definitely will continue to shop here but would love a better store set up.

I used to love this shop but stopped going for many reasons.Pros:Usually plenty of fresh veg although that has been hit or missUsed to have a great meat departmentCons:During Covid they had a policy of letting only one person in per family which has the effect of ensuring that large family's could not get enough groceries due to limits on items. This policy also ensured a MAXIMUM variety of germs. It was the height of stupidity. The meat department was destroyed after covid. You could no longer get nice things in the case.Cashiers practically throw soft produce down the conveyer no matter how many times you mention it. One tossed my soda off the belt. Not all cashiers, but at least half of them and most of them were old women that did this.I was accosted by a woman because I was buying the pasta on sale for 10 cents a box and the manager helped the woman find the pasta instead of letting her steal it out of my cart, but did nothing to alleviate my concerns. The cashier did check me out quickly and was very kind after seeing the altercation.Towards the end of my shopping there, every time I went in anything that was advertised, was no longer available. Even chicken breast that was limited to two was empty. Dry ice? gone. You want your regular tea? Gone. The sales got convoluted to follow and you HAD to have the app to get sale items. I am not paying for wifi on top of their high prices just to get a coupon.

I'll give it 3.5 stars. it's better than the Batesville Walmart, but honestly this Kroger is too small. I doubt they're going to, but they need a bigger store. That's really the only issue I have though. Everything else is fine.

Just lost my business. Bagger forgot to put one of my bags in the cart. I called about it and confirmed they had it waiting for me. Asked if I could pick it up the next day because I live 30 minutes away. This was canned food by the way. Go in after work the next day and they have no idea what I'm talking about and demand to see a receipt to "prove" I bought it. I don't even know what all they ripped me off on because I don't know everything that was in the bag. Sorry, but you just lost my family's dinner and we can't exactly afford to pay double for groceries we already bought in this economy. Kroger no more for me, at least not this location.

Frequently out of sale items. Often long checkout lines. Many times you have to bring in a shopping cart from outside. Usually the service desk is unmanned. Sometimes they do have good sales prices, assuming the items are in stock. The recent remodel has helped with the odor in the meat department and they have added restrooms up front. The employees are allowed to smoke out front so the entrance smells like an ashtray. They did get some new shopping carts to leave in the parking lot. Twice, I've bought items that were rotten when I opened them even though they were opened before the sell by date. Edit 6/19/2022: I would like to think this store has improved, but it's only gotten worse. Today I bought some asparagus that was rotten later in the day when I tried to use it. A few weeks ago it was potatoes that had rotten moldy potatoes in the bag. The meat department still smells like road kill.

Place is always easy busy with only one maybe to l two cashiers just hit l went there twenty minutes or so ago poor woman was only cashier with not 20 people done had allot of stuff they didn't get her help clearly you guys don't look out for employees or customers making us wait on overworked cashiers because two don't want to bring help in for your employees

I absolutely love the savings here. The selection of goods could improve. Also the lower rating is all your people working here have some of the stinkiest attitudes. You don't get a warm feeling from any of them. So sad... if you don't like your job find something else.

For the 4th week in a row, they have failed to fill my pick up order. Last week, I had a page and a half of unfilled items due to unavailability, one of which was celery! I went in the store and filled everything on the unavailable list. This week, I placed my order at 8pm last night and scheduled a 3pm pickup. When I called, I was told they were "really behind" and they had not even started my order yet. I have called and asked to speak to a manager, only to be on hold 15 minutes. Apparently, we can't get pickup at the Batesville Kroger anymore.

Management does not monitor their cashiers & baggers. Cashiers & baggers are poorly trained by Management. Cashiers are hateful, unprofessional when doing their job. Most of the cashiers lack people skills and are very slow at their job. Not at all consistent - Most of them exhibit passive aggressive & condescending behavior towards customers which is completely unprofessional in that line of work.

Don't use the pharmacy! They are rude and never have anything ready on time. I confronted a pharmacist for being rude to a very old woman. They also always have excuses for not having prescriptions ready. I have talked to a manager about it, but the problem has not gotten any better

I LOVE KROGER!!! THEY HAVE THE BEST PRICES. NICE WORKERS EXCEPT FOR A MEAT MAN. we will not get into that. Oh yes we will. Well my friend went to go get a steak cut. The meat man said why dont you choose one that's already cut. My friend say no I want the steak cut. He said to try pork instead of beef. Dear sir that's your job is to help customers get what kind of meat they want and cut it. The time it took you to talk to her you could have had it done. Ugh 🤦‍♀️

Much nicer inside than I expected. Lot's of organic items. Decent prices. Friendly cashiers. Overall a pretty good grocery store, much better than it looks on the outside. Day old bread rack has some really good things on it. Markdown items close to expiration located throughout store. It's like a treasure hunt lol. Frequently out of gallons of water and 2 liters of seltzer; and takes forever for them to look for more in the back, just to find out there aren't any more.

low to no stock on many items, cramped aisles, dirty flooring, only a few available baskets, the longest checkout line i’ve ever waited in and then had to bag my own groceries

I've recently enrolled in their digital coupons app. and have been getting some good bargains. Also, according to my purchases, they track my preferences and contact me when the items go on sale. Also, on Friday mornings, they send me what's called Friday Free Download, which is usually a simple little product that I get for free. It's usually something like a Power Bar, or last week it was a chocolate Easter egg that they sale. It's nothing big, but hey, free is free.

Five stars my friends in other N.E. Arkansas communities wish they had a Kroger. We do and it is awesome. For our area this is a quality store with great service, "they will take your groceries to the car if you need" and great sale prices. Good store.

1000 times better than Walmart. The cashiers are helpful and most actually say thank you. Unlike Walmart where you are treated unfairly, rudely and unprofessionally. Now some of the prices at Kroger are somewhat higher on some things but overall you still save considerably.

Kroger is my preferred place to shop for groceries. They have a good selection of products, staff are friendly and helpful, and they always have great discounts. The location is also convenient for me. (For travelers, it is situated in close proximity to the cluster of hotels in the area.) If you are looking to save even more money, there is a Kroger app filled with coupons and discounts— just enter your associated phone number at checkout.
