I was driving to Batesville the other day and of course I had to stop at the Bulldog Restaurant right off the Interstate. Turn right off the exit and it pops right up on the left. There are three ways to order and I ordered at the walk up window. You can go in to dine or use the drive thru. I got the Chili Foot Long Hotdog Deluxe. It’s been about 10 years since I had one. I don’t remember how it tasted back then but I can tell you now, it’s the best I’ve ever had. And, I’ve had many foot longs throughout the years. The chili had a delicate and delicious flavor. Some spice kicked it up a notch but for the life of me I couldn’t place it. The slaw was perfect! And it was steamed just fine. I hope you’ll try this wonderful little restaurant when you’re heading to North East Arkansas. Wow. Will have to return long before the next 10 years pass.

Nice family, American-style restaurant just off the U.S. 67. I have visited this location a few times on trips between Jonesboro and Little Rock. During my most recent visit I had a steak fingers plate and a strawberry shortcake. Both dishes were good but I was surprised the steak fingers didn't come with gravy and the shortcake was more like pie crust than actual shortcake. The food was still good though and the staff was friendly. Not a bad spot and I would visit again.

Was driving to Wildlife Preserve around 12:30 and place was packed. On my way home at 3:30 placed was still packed so decided to see what was up. It was busy but the wait to order wasn't long. Didn't wait too long for them to bring me my food. Got BBQ chicken sandwich, small onion rings, banana milk shake and coconut pie. Prices were very good. BBQ sauce was saucy but a plain chicken sandwich was the same price so I overlooked it. Shake had real banana pieces. Had to bring the pie home but it was homemade. They also had homemade shortcakes that looked great too. Staff was friendly and couteous and the place was very clean.

Will not eat here again. It was after a funeral and 6 of us stopped in here. The lady who took our order was nice but the two cleaning up were banging chairs and being really loud. It was 8 when we sat down and even checked the hours online. So we had plenty of time to sit and visit/eat. The food was mediocre. I ordered fried shrimp dinner. Didn't eat the fries because they were very soft (undercooked). The shrimp was crunchy just tasted funny. (Old and stale)The day after we visited I reached out to 3 of the people that visited with us and 4 out of 6 had gotten sick that night. For whatever reason, grease, lack of cooking.. I'm not sure.Won't be back.

Where to start?….Bathroom didnt have soap. Paper towel roll was on the counter and was wet. Toilet seat wasnt attached and spun sideways when I touched it. I told a worker about the soap and she walked away and didnt return with soap until after i had my husband retrieve soap from the men’s room, washed my hands and had been seated for 5 minutes. There was food all over the floors and the trash cans were overflowing. I asked for extra crispy bacon and it was barely even cooked. The chicken tenders my husband had looked like something from McDonalds. This used to be a great restaurant. What happened to it? If it was busy, I could understand the bathrooms and messy dining room, but we walked in and no one was in line. We stood waiting for someone to take our order for a good 4-5 minutes as an employee stood behind the counter doing something with cups. Finally another employee asked if we had been helped.

Terrible. No clean tables. Overcrowded. Their frito chili pie was a starfoam cup of chili with Fritos slammed in. Old woman holding a little dog feeding it at the table! Old man announcing 4 times loudly that he had to go to the bathroom. Worst dining experience of my life.

I was traveling from GA headed to north Arkansas when I came up on the Bulldog Restaurant. It was lunch time so I popped in. Best decision of the day!! 10 times better than any chain restaurant! I had the BBQ chicken sandwich. It was chopped chicken that was hot, juicy and tender topped with coleslaw and a tangy BBQ sauce. Best BBQ chicken sandwich I've ever had!!! Paired with their perfectly crispy fried onion rings and I was a happy camper. The staff was warm and welcoming and the place was clean. I saved Bulldog as a ❤️ in Google maps. I will definitely be back again during future travels!

The Bulldog burger is worth the extra twenty minutes as you are driving through north west Arkansas. Don't stop in Wynne no matter how hungry you are. Don't give into the allure of fast food. Keep on keeping on and make your way to Bald Knob and stop at Bulldog!! It's light years better than anything fastfood can pump out in under two minutes. This burger was amazing! You can imagine the griddle that this burger was made on and that's exactly the way it should be. Plus they have drive thru! You don't even have to get out of the car if you don't want to. The tots are fire as well.

It's quite disheartening that in the land of opportunity and cultural diversity, it's challenging to find authentic old-fashioned American food. I recently visited a local restaurant with high expectations of savoring traditional American cuisine, but what I experienced was a complete disaster. The food was an absolute letdown, and I can confidently say that it was the worst meal that I have ever had in a restaurant.

I had a cheeseburger and fries and the hubs had the steak finger plate. Those are always delicious. I decided to try the peach shortcake this time and OH MY WORD, it was heaven! RUN, don't walk...and have this yummy summer delight!

Y'all, it's literally been years since we've visited the Bulldog in Bald Knob, but it won't take us long to come back. A small catfish plate and the fried shrimp plate with dessert was more than we could eat. Delicious comfort food and friendly folks... with fast service even though the line was to the door and the drive thru line was wrapped around the block. Good job, Bulldog!

Super hectic but that's the charm of this place. Loved it and recommend it for a quick, super reasonable meal.Parking: Fills up, but places open fast!Kid-friendliness: More 16+ kids here than you can shake a stick it. But the service here is FAST. The food is GREAT. The prices are $Wheelchair accessibility: Low ramp, no steps, has a drive through.

Lyla, the red headed girl, was monotone and acted like she would rather be doing anything other than taking our order... After EVERY ITEM we ordered she would say "can I get ya'll anything else" in such a rude tone.My wife's burger came out mostly right... except she didn't want ketchup and they put it on there.I asked for everything on my burger and all they put on it was ketchup and mustard...

Update: Went by today to grab some lunch and they didn't listen to our order so half of it was wrong. Also we ordered ice cream after and the kid was busy pretending to drink syrup with the other workers instead of filling our order.The girl working the window yesterday was extremely rude. I watched her roll her eyes at a coworker for showing her how to do something on the register and when she took our order and gave it to is she never even looked at us.Aside from that, they have the best ice cream. We drive from Newport to get it sometimes its so good.
