My dog is afraid of people and suffered from fear aggression. He is also stubborn and bossy. I admitted him to the board and train program. The staff gained his trust and worked with him and with me. His first day home I was able to take him to Tractor Supply to shop for a new toy. With his improved focus and my new knowledge, the visit was a success. He even let the cashier talk to him without him reacting. It's day 2 and we still have some work to do for him to accept that his training applies in his home environment. He will adjust.Thank you Karah for working with my big boy!

I have been beyond pleased with our experience with Jeaneen, Kara and Maddie. My miniature dashound was only 13 weeks old when I sent him through their 5-week training course. The results have been absolutely amazing!! Even though he is still a puppy, the things they have already taught him to do are absolutely undeniable. Everyone who saw Charlie before and now after have all said the same things. The difference in Charlie before and after spending time with them has been truly remarkable. I wholeheartedly recommend Jeaneen and the entire staff at Furry Feet.

We absolutely loved working with Jeaneen and all of the staff at Furry Feet Retreat and Training! Not only are they professional but took awesome care of our boy Chief. Kara and Kayleigh went above and beyond to help us understand the communication and skills to work with our dog but made it fun as well. I highly recommend them to anyone. 5 stars all around!!

I had to go out of time and had to find a place to keep my precious dog. I called Furry Feet Retreat and spoke with the owner, jeaneen. She was very knowledgeable and calmed down my anxieties. I asked if I could come over and look around and I was told that would be fine. I arrived about 10 minutes later. This was the cleanest kennel I have ever seen...and not because I was coming over because there was no way they could have cleaned up that quick. It even smelled good. The staff was wonderful and very professional. I felt the my baby would be in really good hands . After my trip I picked her up and she was very happy. Not just to see me but I could tell she was very well taken care of. She was allowed to get out of the kennel and run and play. I absolutely love this place and I have now set up appointments for some training. Cant wait to start. I would have no reservations with referring anyone to Furry Feet Retreat and the awesome owner, Jeaneen. Thank you for everything and taking care of my baby!!!

Our experience with Furry Feat Retreat has been great! The staff has been helpful not only in training our dog but also in sharing their knowledge. Our fur baby loves to visit her furry friends for play time and also enjoys training. We receive many compliments on her behavior during our frequent neighborhood walks. We're so proud of her accomplishments! A special thanks to Furry Feet for their exceptional and compassionate approach to her training.

We first brought our dog Trixie to Furry Feet about two/three years ago. We adopted her from the Humane Society, but to say she was a handful is an understatement. We were on the verge of taking her back before we discovered Jeanine and the other excellent people at Furry Feet. They’re not just “trainers” they’re behavior specialists. A dog’s not going to learn anything by being punished with a shock collar or anything like that, they know how to truly change their behavior and bring out the best in a dog.Now all these years later, not only is Trixie a completely different dog (for the better), but when she stays there she is used to help some of the other dogs with their behavior reinforcement. None of this would have been possible without Furry Feet. I can’t recommend them highly enough!

It's a wonderful place to bring your furry friends. With over 40 years of experience. There's not any challenge or obstacle that they have not seen and accomplished. Great staff and all around wonderful place to visit.

This place is amazing! Not enough words to really describe how amazing these people are! From start to finish you know they care and want what is best for you and your dog. I looked at reviews, talked to my vet asked friends for recommendations and googled to find the best place to work with my dog. Some places did not call me back….ever! Ms. Jeaneen from FurryFeets is amazing. We talked for over an hour in our original “interview” phone call. She answered every one of my questions and did not sugar coat anything. Ms. Jeaneen and her girls are very non-filter and will tell you like it is and what you are doing wrong, but give you the guidance to help you fix it and continue the success.I really thought our Finn was a lost cause, that he would never be “fixed”. I was disappointed in and blamed myself since I had had GSDs in the past and had no issues at all. Finn is a GSD/Australian shepherd mix. He is high prey/high drive/high anxiety and very protective. He was barking at everyone and everything, jumping, not listening. Chasing cats. Barking and chasing neighbors dogs. The final straw was he chased and cornered one of our sons friends and that little boy was terrified. He never bit him, but we didn’t want to take the chance.Furry Feets will not just work with your dog, but works with you as well. You will have weekly lessons with your dog. They send you updates in the form of videos and messages every week. Training does not stop once your dog leaves Furry Feets. You are expected to step up and work and be held accountable, but they are with you every step of the way.Finn was originally scheduled to stay for 6 weeks minimum, but wound up staying about 8 weeks. He had to stay a couple weeks longer to work on his social skills, but picked up the training super quick. They took him out in public towards the end. Parks and Lowes for socializing. They use prong collars/pinch collars. Shock collars are NOT used and I would never put my dog in a place that did use them. They are reward based. The first week was tough. He was scared and unsure, but with a lot of hot dogs, patience and love, they won him over. He is now a totally different dog and I am so proud of him. Its an investment (totally worth it) and the training does not stop when you go home. Everyone is held accountable and there is no filter. That’s what I wanted and respect. Once you graduate, you are a member of the Furry Feets family. You can call, message, text with any questions. They even have followup lessons after you go home to quell any fears you may have or questions that may come up.They offer boarding and doggie daycare. Finn will go there for boarding when we go out of town from now on.They even offered to desensitize him to a bike so we could take him bike riding and exercise him. Finn loves the girls and loves learning and working.I cant say enough positive things about this place. Honest and upfront about everything. Love them. Lifetime client!

Love, love, love this place! My American Bulldog Jasper spent time here when I was out of town OR needed a break for a few days during his challenging puppyhood. I’d drop off my handsome white dog, and pick up a GREY dog. He had so much fun playing here and was always tired when I picked him up. I never worried that he’d just sit in a cage the whole time. I appreciate that Furry Feet Retreat is a small business and can only accept a limited number of dogs for boarding or training at a time. I am 100% confident each dog gets quality attention. They NEVER take more dogs than they can handle. Jeaneen is fantastic with dog training and problem behaviors. I would not hesitate to have my dog trained at this facility.

Furry Feet Retreat has helped us so much! My dog boarded with them for training and they have taught him (and us!) so much. They have done a great job with him and he is always excited when he goes back and sees the staff! The staff are friendly and very helpful! I highly recommend them for training, boarding, and grooming!

We had a great experience at Furry Feet with Jeaneen and the other trainers there. She has helped our pitbull with training from the time we got her at 8 weeks old. And our girl is great with other animals and kids because of what Jeaneen taught us and our dog. She helped in teaching us how to teach our dog at home while we not there at the facility so that we could continue the training daily with our dog. Her knowledge and experience is great when it comes to dogs, as i have called her about other dogs as well. My step sons dog was trained by Karah and she did a great job with that rowdy 40 pound dog that loved to jump and nip. She is now in a home with a 3 year old and 6 year old because of the training she received from Furry Feet Retreat. This is the only place we take our dogs to be boarded also because we know they get great care and are loved while they are there.

The owner and her trainers and employees are wonderful! They have done an amazing job with our 4 dogs. Some people just need to listen and face the truth that they may not be great dog owners. And Janeen and her staff are very up front and honest about what think think. We won't take our dogs anywhere else and will continue to recommend them to everyone we know! Our furbabies love them!

I have a rambunctious 80 lb mystery mutt who is generally a goofball, but knows just how strong he is. Furry Feet Training came highly recommended by various colleagues who trained with Jeaneen and company over the past years. Within a few weeks of lessons, my dog knows how to sit and stay in the open front yard with squirrels/birds and neighbors roaming about. Our walks are getting more enjoyable by the day, as he no longer tries to pull my arm out of the socket when he gets excited about something. I have since used Furry Feet for boarding as well because I know Jeaneen and her team truly care and understand dog behavior. A huge part of my success with my dog has been learning from them. Not only do they teach my dog, but they teach me how to continue to work with and manage my dog at home (or in public). I look forward to future lessons and boarding with this facility. My dog is always excited to see his trainer when we go!

Jeaneen Niel, the owner of this place is great, as is all the staff there. I have been doing business with them for years and have always been extremely pleased with the services provided. These people care about you and your dog and it shows in their dedication and work performance. Will definitely continue my business relationship with Furry Feet Retreat and Dog Training!

We became the owners of a five month old German Shepherd that was basically uncontrollable. He lunged, snapped, and barked at other dogs when we tried to walk him, pulled and tugged at his leash, and wouldn’t go in his crate unless you physically wrestled him in. He knew basic commands but responded to them only when he chose. I called Jeaneen in desperation because I knew things were only going to get worse as he became larger and stronger. We made the hard decision to board and train him for two months, but the results we amazing. He obeys all commands, crates without any drama, and ignores other dogs, even when they come up to him in a store. I would feel absolutely comfortable taking him into any situation and know without a doubt that he would behave perfectly. She and her trainers also taught us many things about how to mange his behavior with positive reinforcement. They obviously care for the animals, and treat them gently and with the utmost kindness. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone wanting their dog to be a stable, loving, and obedient member of their family.

Our dogs love the Jeaneen Niel and staff at Furry Feet Retreat! We have know her for 15 years or so and our dogs stay with her every year. She has helped us when issues come up with our dogs. Just talking to Jeaneen is a wonderful experience! I have learned so much from her. She is an angel on earth. Love her!

We had some trouble with our dog. Bad manners basically. Searched for what to do. Tried many things we read on the internet. Some classes, etc. After calling and talking a few times, decided to give Furry Feet Retreat a try. So impressed. They have done wonders with him--and with us. Taught us a lot. He is a new dog! Of course, we have to keep up with what he has learned and follow through. I highly recommend for training or boarding. We boarded for ten days first. Found that we much prefer the small number of dogs they keep at a time to the large kennels in Little Rock. Very much worth the drive. We can tell that everyone working at FFR are dog lovers. Always kind to us and to our dog. We watched as they interacted with many different dogs. Consistent. Caring. Truly want the best for each animal. Each time we go back, my dog leaps out of the car. We can tell that he loves each of them.

Wonderful place! We love the owner and trainers and employees at Furry Feet retreat! Would recommend them to anyone, and have many times!!! Too bad some people don't know how to follow the things they are told by trainers, and then blame the facility for their mistakes. You have to be a responsible owner and parent and listen to what is told to you when you have your dog trained!

we love the care that are dogs are given at furry feet retreat. They get more play time than most places where you would board your dog. are dogs used to have a lot of anxiety when we would drop them off for boarding at other places. Now, they get so excited that they jump out of the car and run to the door ready for the fun time they know they're going to have

I cannot say enough about my experience with Janeene, Karah and Lilia at Furry Feet Retreat. I was desperate to find the right answer and solution for both my dog and for me!! I was completely overwhelmed and feeling badly about not doing more for Murphy. The training they provide and counsel they give for not only your pet but for YOU is incredible and they are a Gift from God. I highly recommend Furry Feet Retreat - they are true pet whisperers!!

Amazing facility, great people. Very knowledgeable and kind, and great pricing. I see some of thereviews on here and wonder if people that took their dog here even paid any attention to what they were taught also. You have to listen to what they tell you, you have to learn as much as your dog does. Follow the guidelines they give you and you will see great things with your animals. They have been amazing with our pitbull, lab, doxie, and English bulldog. Wont take our dogs anywhere else. And, family members and employees are allowed to post reviews. Just like family members and friends who have NEVER used the services of a company are allowed to post reviews. Works both ways.

Great trainers and a wonderful experience. I had issues with my GSD being too aggressive with company to the point where he attacked a good friend when she came by to pick up something from my house. Jana and Karah worked with my sweet boy and built up his trust in me and his confidence in himself. We're continuing to work with him at home using the lessons we learned in person and with the instructions they gave us for at home followup. He's making great progress as long as we're consistent and communicate with him the way we were trained. I'm truly grateful for the care and love they showed my dog while he was there!

Our family recently adopted a wirehaired dachshund who was rescued as part of a puppy mill bust. He was in very poor physical condition by the time he was rescued. He was lethargic and subdued. His hair was matted. He had parasites. His teeth were rotting, and the entire left side of his face was swollen due to an untreated abscess. Due to the condition of his teeth, the vet who treated him post-rescue had to remove twenty-nine of them.In addition to his physical condition, his emotional state was also poor. He was completely shut down and untrusting of humans. His initial response to any type of stimuli or new situation was avoidance/flight/panic. If he was unable to get the human to leave him alone after his initial response of avoidance/flight/panic, then he would resort to fear biting. It seemed to me from some of his responses (stiffening of his body, staring off into space, bolting in and out of doors, panic at sudden movements) that he was, most likely, abused at some point and probably on more than one occasion. After his physical wounds healed, we brought him home, and he did very well socializing with our other four dogs (two of which are also dachshunds). He also slowly started to trust me little by little, but not my husband (he seemed to be more fearful of men). We achieved small milestones like making it to the point where I was able to get him out of his crate and pick him up without him resorting to biting me. He also seemed interested when I would talk to and pet the other dogs and began to approach slowly and get closer and closer each time. A few times, he even let me pet him and/or rolled over for a belly scratch! It was in these moments, when he let his guard down some, that I began to see his quirky personality emerge. However, due to the level of internal trauma and resistance that he seemed to have, we decided that we would need help if we wanted to speed up his recovery process. That is when I found Furry Feet Retreat and Training Center in Arkansas via an internet search. After reviewing FFRTC’s training philosophy, reviewing the various training options, and looking at the photos of the training center, I decided that this seemed like a great place for our new family member to heal and learn how to be a dog. I spoke with Karah (one of the trainers) and Jeaneen Niel (the owner) about our situation, and they were both very kind and understanding. It was clear to me that they truly love dogs and want to help each dog that they work with become balanced and healthy in both mind and body. So, without hesitation, I dropped our dog off at FFRTC for the Boarding Training package. After our dog had been in the Boarding Training program for nine weeks, I went to visit him for our Lesson 1. I was amazed at the progress that Jeaneen, Karah, and Lilia (another trainer) had made with him in such a relatively short period of time. I dropped off a frightened, reactive, sad dog, and returned to find a happy, friendly, tail-wagging dog who approached me without any hesitation, sat in my lap for a long time (this never happened at home, he may have sat in my lap for only a minute, or near me, but never for as long as he did during our first visit). He is much more comfortable being touched now, having a leash put on him for walks, walking nicely on a leash, and waiting at doors instead of bolting in and out of them. The trainers all tell me that he has stopped fear biting them as well. These may not seem like big steps for normal dogs, but for our dog this is HUGE progress! He still has a long way to go in terms of his recovery; however, FFRTC has done a wonderful job of setting up a solid foundation for our family to be able to continue his recovery at home. He is still at the training center for three more weeks, and I am excited to see what further progress he can make.

We have a dog that we got when she was around 9 months old and she was WILD. She ran from one end of the house to the other, bit your hands and face, and destroyed everything in her path. We were so frustrated with her and weren’t sure how to help her (an help us from not losing our sanity). We took a class a class at petco and it went horribly. It was a group setting and our dog wouldn’t stop shaking. I don’t think the trainers at petco were equipped to handle our unsocialized dog so we didn’t get anywhere. We called furry feet and they were AMAZING. We told Cara all of our pain points and what we were struggling with and we set up a time to go meet with her in person. Their training is one on one so Daisy’s anxiety was there but nothing compared to what we were used to when she was around other strangers. Cara explained to us what Daisy was going through and how we could help her. Cara is so patient and answered all of our questions. We noticed a difference AFTER ONE SESSION. Our dog did six sessions and she is a completely different dog. She doesn’t act crazy when company comes over, she doesn’t run around our house, and she doesn’t destroy our things. Fast forward to getting a new puppy.. we knew it needed to be trained before we were in the same situation we were with Daisy (correcting bad behavior) so we called and Jeaneen talked to me for almost 2 hours- this woman is AMAZING. She talked to me all about the board and train program for puppies. Anyone who owns a business and takes that much time out of their day to help you navigate next steps is someone you know really cares. Our new baby will be doing their program along with any other future puppies we get. I will always recommend Furry Feet

Like most of the people that will be reading this, my dog is an important member of my family. I was referred to Jeaneen and company by a coworker because I was searching for a place to board my dog Lucy for a few weeks while I took a trip overseas. I had spoken to several of the local facilities, and while I can't say anything negative about them, I just didn't get the gut feeling that they would be good for my dog. When I spoke with Jeaneen over the phone, I knew that I'd found Lucy's home away from home. Now Lucy is a sweetheart, don't get me wrong, but she's a huge German Shepherd. That can be kind of off putting to some, and I've even experienced that reaction with some of the experienced facilities where I had boarded her and left her for daycare before. Invariably she would come home from those places nervous, and it would take a couple of days for her to settle back down. This was not the case with Jeaneen. When I dropped Lucy off, Jeaneen instructed me and how I needed to approach it to make the experience better for Lucy. She also was able to evaluate Lou's disposition without making a big deal or being insulting about it. That made me feel much better about the dogs that Lucy would come in contact with at Furry Feet, as I knew that they had all received this same screening from an experienced dog trainer and behaviorist.I have boarded Lucy four times with Furry Feet, and every time that I go to pick her up, she greets me as if I'm just returning home from a day at work. She is always well cared for, and never stressed like she was with other boarders that I will not name here.I say all that to try to convey this: If you love your dog like I love mine, and you've bothered to read all this in trying to make your decision, this is the place to board. I wouldn't even consider taking Lucy anywhere else. I can't give these folks enough praise. As a matter of fact, in a couple days, I'll be dropping her off at Furry Feet for a short stay, and I won't worry about Lucy at all. It is obvious that they don't look at this as a way to turn a quick buck. They're real dog people, and it shows. If you're on the fence about where to leave your canine family member, just save yourself the trouble of calling anywhere else and call Jeaneen.

Only place our dogs want to go to for boarding. They run straight in the door verses us fighting our 70 lb and 60 lb. Dogs. Staff is great and they do excellent grooming also. Our older dog had a undercoat still and they got it all out.
