Very good food and atmosphere. We had 8 people in our group and most of us got a different entree. Everything was good and beautifully presented. Desserts were good too.The restaurant is located in the La Pasoda Hotel which is beautiful and has an interesting collection of art work.

This restaurant is located in a beautiful and historic hotel, La PosadaThe Turquoise Room is a beautiful restaurant with beautiful rugs and artwork on its walls. We always have a great experience here with delicious food and excellent service. I went to the Turquoise Room a couple times last week as part of my Amtrak experience, and I was blown away! One hardly expects a fine restaurant of this quality in a small town in the middle of the Arizona desert. But the La Posada itself is quite impressive, especially on a cold and cozy night! What a marvelous Amtrak train stop this is! Highest recommendation: Chile green eggs breakfast with polenta and tortillas on the side = $15. The other photo is the prime rib $45.

Top notch experience. Just an amazing story that this American treasure of a building was saved from destruction. Do yourself a favor and get to the restaurant early to walk through the lobby, art gallery on the second floor, and the shop. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and the food and service was excellent. I cannot wait to come back again soon.

The restaurant is in the La Posada Hotel. One of the few fine dining places to eat at in Winslow, AZ. Service was great. We stayed at the hotel so it was very convenient place to eat. Though it is run and operated separate from the hotel. So you cannot charge your Meal's to your room. Food was pretty good. A bit overpriced for what it is, bit it gas great atmosphere. We had breakfast and dinner there. Dinner reservations are required.

Honestly I really enjoyed my lunch here. I had the Boxcar Burger and it was really really good. The resturant was quiet and peaceful and the staff was very helpful and easy to work with. They also have a cool giftshop sort of place and a place to watch the trains go by right outside. Highly recommend stopping here if you have the time. Its a little bit expensive but not that bad.

The food was amazing. However, it took over an hour for our food to get to our table. The server was extremely rude. The special wines were not told to us like the other tables around us. It then took 25 minutes for him to even ask for our drink order and even longer to receive them. A table next to us was sat about 30 minutes after us and received their food, ate and paid before we even received our food. Refills were hard to come by and when we asked for another tea bag we were told it would be $5 for one. I asked to speak to a manager and she made excuses for our poor service and long wait times even though tables around us were getting their food. It was pretty upsetting as I was excited to take my family out to a nice dinner but it was anything but that. It’s unfortunate that this experience overshadowed the amazing food.

Unique, special place where nothing is exactly as it seems. Even the simplest dishes have a subtle twist. The piki bread and hummus appetizer was paper-thin, crispy bread (doesn't seem the right word) and a hummus-like mixture of corn, beans, and seeds. It was one of the best appetizers I've ever had. And it was light so it didn't fill us up too much before the meal.Dinner was the Wild-Wild and the shrimp pasta. I can't say enough about either one but they were both exceptional. The chile tamale was in another world. And the made-to-order peach cobbler with a pecan crumble dessert was perfect for sharing. The pecan crumble was new to me and was perfect with the peaches.Vegetarian options: Limited. There are one or two items but it is a meaty menu.Parking: It's a little bit of a walk, but there is plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: Not ideal. The pace of service and the mix of customers we saw were not a good fit. It might be different at lunch or breakfast.

Gotta say, we've lived in Arizona for 30 years. The Turquoise Room is one of the BEST RESTAURANT experiences in the state. It's WORTH the trip, whether you're coming from Flagstaff, Phoenix, or the White Mountains. Food is always a masterpiece; the European style service is "no-rush", but also very professional and responsive. The "OLD SOUTHWEST" architecture of the hotel and train station makes for a TOTAL CHARM atmosphere.

Love this place! I’ve written a review for the hotel but felt the dining needed a shout out.——We’ve dined here several times and we always leave satisfied. Today we had lunch to celebrate our anniversary and we’re surprised to see so many patrons in the afternoon. Full lunch is 11-2pm so plan ahead if you want the full experience although many come for dinner for a different menu. The hotel is an architectural masterpiece of Southwestern history from the Fred Harvey era and we have d stayed several times. The Turquoise Room is a large room with very tall ceilings and rustic chandeliers. The menu features about 20 items and each seem to add an indigenous ingredient. We each had a delicious margarita and the signature bean and corn soup; a must even if you share. Our meal was the pork carnitas and Navajo taco, both excellent. Not too large of portions and very flavorful and fresh. The chef here is worth his weight in gold for each dish is thoughtfully prepared and must have a following due to its popularity. Our server was new, Amber was her name I think and she was very new but polite and attentive. We absolutely love this place to eat and so happy the owners have invested so much to make this place so special. You will never see anything like it in Arizona.

Good food, great atmosphere inside a fabulous hotel. Fantastic service. The soup and salad were spectacular. The signature soup has been served here since the restaurant opened in the 1930’s. The salad was excellent and our server was kind enough to have it split for us because we wanted to share. If you are traveling route66/I-40 this is worth the time to stop and enjoy a relaxing meal with great atmosphere. The hotel is amazing and worth the visit.

We stayed at La Posada for 2 nights and enjoyed having dinner and breakfast in this beautifully renovated historic hotel and restaurant. The cuisine is eclectic with Southwestern influences; however, there are options for all palettes. My favorite dinner selections were the bison short ribs and the famous black bean and corn chowder. The crepes for breakfast were outstanding and not overly sweet. In the morning, we would sit by the window and watch the trains go by. The staff was exceptional…gracious, friendly but professional. Be sure to stop at the Martini Bar before sitting down for dinner. The cocktails are unique and they take their craft very seriously. I got an impromptu lesson about how to make a proper Old Fashioned!Staying at La Posada and eating at the Turquoise Room was such a unique experience, and we learned so much about the history of the hotel and Winslow. It was a fabulous surprise. We originally came to Winslow to “Stand On A Corner”, but we discovered so much more. Looking forward to our next visit.

Good food, good drinks, cool funky vibe. Wild wild platter was good although the tamale and side veggies were a bit underwhelming. Corn and bean soup was excellent, squash blossom was very good. Service was pretty slow so don't be in a hurry here. It took an hour and 15 minutes to get the main course. Server always seemed a bit rushed and was impatient when we had a question on the check. There had to be a dozen pet dogs in the restaurant fyi. But it's the classiest place in town for dinner.

This beutifully decorated restaurant rivals the top restaurants anywhere. Menu selections are unique with incredible flavors and satisfying portions. Craft cocktails with great balance of flavor, spirits, and presentation. Our server Ebony was awesome. We went back the next day for breakfast with a similar experience - thank you Autom.

We stayed at the La Posada Hotel so we decided to try the restaurant out. It was a very good choice. The Crispy Fried Calamari was delicious. The Signature Soup is a creamy sweet corn and spicy black bean. It was so good we ordered another one. We were there for 2 nights and we went there 3 times. It was that good. We tried the Wild Wild Platter, Buffalo New York Strip, ribeye medallions. There are really no other good food around and this place is a gem of Winslow.

I chose the Turquoise room for breakfast, because a Google Search for "patio breakfast dining in Winslow" returned, incorrectly, The Turquoise Room, at the La Posada Hotel. The information carried by the search page indicated that dining with a pet was possible, just not inside. I took that to mean it was possible on the patio. As it turns out, the Turquoise Room, does not even have a patio (So I guess the search result, was mistake 1).What they do offer is to allow you to take your breakfast to go, and use any of the Hotel patio areas, to enjoy breakfast with your pet.Unfortunately, the Young Lady at the Turquoise Room reception, did not inform us of that possibility. She only said pets were not allowed in the lounge. She told us that the pet was allowed in the hotel lobby, but that you could not eat there. She left us to work things out for ourselves. Which we did by leaving and finding another venue for our breakfast.I have since been contacted by Mr Burbank regarding the miscommunication at the reception desk, As a result I have changed my review and ratings, of the Turquoise Room, I cannot give the name of the young lady at the reception, since she was not wearing a nametag.I apologize for the scathing review, I left. I do not write many reviews, and usually they are much more positive. My initial complaint about the website being incorrect, was also incorrect, because I was reading the Google Information page about the Turquoise Room, not the Turquoise Room website.Since I did not dine there, I cannot rate the service or the food. I have changed my rating from a 2 to a 4 for the atmosphere, and overall. I am sorry that Google has the information incorrect, but I can't change the information on Google, only the business owner can. I can say that the information that google releases, is the information I used to decide on a visit or not.

Great experience grabbing lunch here yesterday. We were able to sit in the lobby, and bring our non-service pet with us. Our server, Erin, was such a pleasure, and made sure we had an amazing experience and were well taken care of, even though we were not in the main dining area. The complementary corn bread with a caramelized glaze was The Best I've ever eaten (pictured). Ordered the calamari for an appetizer and it was perfectly fried, with side sauce that had a tasty little zing without being overpowering (pictured). I had the turkey sandwich on sourdough for lunch, which was absolutely delicious, and finished my meal off with a nice creme brulee and cappuccino (pictured). I recommend this place for anyone looking for amazing food and outstanding service, including pet friendly amenities. Thank you!

Last night's meal was Michelin star worthy in Winslow, AZ at The Turquoise Room in La Posada Hotel, an amazing piece of architecture from the acclaimed Mary Jane Colter. Their chef de cuisine, Jesus Nunez, is a master of his craft, developing oaxacan inspired dishes, as well as other regional dishes of Mexico. They had a different menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner that were all inventive and looking so good. This place is a destination in itself. We started with oaxacan stuffed squash blossoms dipped in masa and fried, served with a Verde and corn salsa! And the signature soup of Creamy sweet corn in the same bowl with smooth and spicy black bean topped with a signature spicy chile cream. Amazing. The squash blossoms appetizer was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Our entrees were:The Killer Vegetable Platter &The wild-Wild Platter, both insanely delicous, inventive, and unique. The killer vegetable platter was a medley of Mexican Tapas like empenadas and tamales, flan, etc. where everything was cooked to perfection. The wild platter were flavors I've never experienced and a tenderness and spice to the Quail unheard of. These entrees were top chef good. For dessert, we had the White chocolate Souffle with fresh raspberries, creamy chocolate sauce and whipping cream. As well as the four layer carrot cake baked with pineapple juice, raisins, walnuts and buttermilk. Topped with a cream cheese frosting. Served with a scoop of Vanilla Bean Gelato. This meal would stand out in Vegas and to find it in Winslow is a real find. You must go there a.s.a.p. and often. Than tell all you know to go there. Their chef de cuisine is amazing.

Where to begin...First of all, our server was April. The did could have been mediocre and I'd have give the place 5 stars because of her. Her knowledge of the menu and ingredients was simply amazing. She was attentive without hovering, polite, and courteous. The food, however, was not mediocre. It was sublime. We started with the signature soup and holiday salad. But very delicious. I ordered the elk medallions they came out cooked to my specifications (and I should have listened to the chef's advice) they were still flavorful and tender (just not melt in your mouth, as they no doubt would have been if I didn't order them overcooked...). My wife ordered the bison short ribs, and they did melt in the mouth. Each dish was served with the perfect complement of vegetables. 10/10... would definitely recommend.

Absolutely breathtaking restaurant find on Route 66 in Winslow!! The food here is creative, flavorful, beautiful to see & smell, and the taste rivals best dishes in Texas, New Mexico, and Las Vegas! Photos Don't do it justice.... Vegetarian dream plate, Signature soup, special Squash blossom appetizer. Don't miss this top notch culinary experience. Our server Victoria was professional, friendly, and helpful too.

My family used to eat here a lot. Even just about 2 months ago we've had a meal that I would rate at 5 stars. However, they are removing and changing all the classic meals from their menu. Examples include the Chilaquiles and Arizona Green Chile Eggs. Ever since the original owner sold the restaurant it has been a steady downhill. My family has frequented this restaurant almost monthly for over 10 years and we decided that after this weekend's food and service we won't be going back. It is unfortunate because this used to be my most highly recommended restaurant in AZ.
