First time kayaking and I’m glad it was with them. It was a simple and easy process. You first reserve the kayak thru their website, then when the day comes, you check in with them at their store. They give you the option of transporting the kayak if you have a smaller car like I did or you can do it yourself. Once we were done, you call them and they pick them up. Definitely recommend!

This was my first time paddle boarding. I was given no instructions or friendly tips. The paddle board was missing a leash, which I thought was odd. The paddle was also heavily worn.I tried to adjust the paddle length, and the middle adjustment latch flew off into the water. I dropped the paddle in an attempt to save the latch. The paddle did not float back up as expected, and I spent 20 minutes trying to recover it. Luckily, I had friends with me who were able to paddle me back to shore.When I told the rental company what had happened, they did not seem to care. They stated that I would be charged $50 for the lost paddle. When I tried to dispute the charge, they implied that I had tossed the paddle into the water on purpose and threatened to report me to the police for theft.The only positive thing about my experience was that the paddle board was easy to rent and was delivered on time. However, it seems like the rental company is hoping that customers will lose equipment so that they can buy new equipment. This is evidenced by the fact that the paddle board was missing a leash and the paddle was heavily worn.I would not recommend this rental company to anyone. They are unprofessional and do not care about their customers.

Family was traveling to see the Petrified National Forest and we were looking for some fun stuff to get into. This came up as recommended and I have to agree. We rented a canoe and tandem kayak and had an incredible time. Pet friendly so our 50lb lab could join, and we all were able to swim and paddle. I would 100% go kayaking again when we visit. An unknown fee was the $7 at the boat launch, just be prepared.

Great Experience! Went kayaking for the first time & in clear creek reservoir and clear creek rentals was very accommodating. Good pricing and helped transfer the kayaks to clear creek and back for really good price! Very nice and professional team. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back!

These folks were super helpful, affordable, and had good gear. They delivered and picked up at McHood for us. Be accurate with your pick up/drop off times, as they only appear to open the shop by appointment.

My husband and I rented kayaks for the day and it was one of the highlights of our trip! We had such a great experience with Clear Creek Rentals. They transported the kayaks to the river, told us where the good spots were, and came and picked the kayaks up when we were done. They made it so easy for us to just enjoy our day kayaking in a beautiful canyon. Awesome people too!

Reservations are done by phone with no extra charge and not paid until you arrive at the store. Initially it is hard to find, however, we spoke with the owners and they have plans to put a sign up to assist customers. Do not be deterred by this, the owners are friendly and professional. No hidden fees just taxes and they take card. They drove the kayaks to the loading dock for us allowing us to follow them without any extra charge either. Once we were done we called them and they arrived at the loading dock within fifteen minutes to pick up the kayaks. We did not even have to go back to the store as we had paid when we signed the paperwork at the store at the beginning of our day. Highly recommend if you need to rent and are coming from far away.

A seamless renting experience, I could not have wished for anything more. The paddleboard I rode was lovely and was light enough to carry over a beaver dam that had amassed in the creek. Would rent from again!

Friendly and professional staff. They deliver the boating equipment to the resevoir as part of their rental fee's so you dont have to haul the equipment yourself. They dont have you waiting long to pickup the equipment after you are done using it either. Prices were reasonable and me and my family enjoyed the experience!

This place is cheap and convenient for renting kayaks. We rented 3 kayaks from them yesterday and appreciated that they delivered the kayaks to Clear Creek for us, and picked them up for us at the end of the day.
