This is the only grocery store in Williams, AZ. 😀They have a Dollar General in town, but the prices seem better here.If you have room on your phone, download their app to get Safeway sale prices/coupons. 📲 💲VISITORS-If your hotel/motel has a refrigerator/microwave, this grocery store has options that might be cheaper than eating at a restaurant. Like a loaf of bread and lunch meat for sandwiches.Snacks here are also cheaper than most of the motel vending machines.*They also have a little shelf of ARIZONA/Route 66/Grand Canyon souvenirs up in front of the store that might be cheaper than some gift shops. Postcards, shot glasses, hats, etc.They also have a Starbucks☕ inside-hours posted were 6am-8pm.

Shopped today and at least 8 (I finally picked a different brand)of their Lucerne eggs had expired a week ago! Got home and to my shock the two packs of jimmy dean turkey sausage crumbles (which are priced there at $5.99) both expired on 3/20. I told the Cashier about the eggs, who did nothing. Management better wake up their employees before someone or many, become ill.

We travel, and this is one of our favorite Safeways on the road. If you take the business loop, street parking is available for trucks. The produce section has a nice selection (including roasting hatch peppers outside in the fall!), the employees are helpful and know their store. We can always find a nice deal on wine if we have a night off.

Had to pick up a few items and water at this Safeway.Parking was sufficient and store was clean, well stocked and organized.Picked up aquafina water, yogurt, and coconut water. Did self checkout and we were on our way.

I really like this store.There is no competition as there are no other stores in the area.The pharmacy is better than great and the people who work in the front end of the store are really wonderful and very helpful too.

You may want to check your receipts, as some sales prices not recognized at register. And their newly upgraded self checkout register doesn't allow you to choose once common pictures for produce or their correctly entered spelling if coded stickers are missing. I entered the correct code for a produce item that charged almost 3x the posted price. Yikes. Even the shelf checkout area clerk was frustrated by this recent upgrade and the need to make 3 entries at this register. This store also doesn't carry some healthy plant products that others do. Williams is tourist town charming, though high prices may suggest you pack your cooler elsewhere for healthy options at less expense.

A clean store with friendly employees. Another reviewer commented that they dont sell Spirits but as of 12APR2024, they did. I came in for some medicine and while the pharmacy felt small, they had what I need! I am sure I will be returning in the future.

930 am on a Tuesday. Zero checkouts open. Just the 4 self checkouts with bumbling confused elderlies like me weighing fruit in super slow motion. Where is the care and customer service? I bagged groceries for a job at 15 and got paid. I don't want to bag groceries or operate your machines. Cash back? Must know how to do that or start game over. Then the day the scale broke. Move over to checkout 4 sir... Stop this retarded stuff! I'm 63. I want service not a lecture from your former checker. Stupid! I don't want to ask for help. Do your job or go home! If you can't serve Williams sell it to Fry's or an independent. Stunad! Why no unsalted Amish butter. Old people don't want salt in everything. Where's the Stella Doro S Cookies? Can anyone make a decent canoli? You want our $500 a month x thousands? Pick up the pace and stop wasting space. Throw away spoiled produce. Organic fibrous tasteless oranges and rotten Avacados are expensive for me to throw away. Hire workers not lazy people.

A nice store with friendly, helpful staff. Decent selection, well stocked shelves, good produce and coldcuts. Prices are a bit higher than I saw elsewhere in Arizona (e.g. Winslow) though not too bad if you have a Safeway card since much was on sale with the card. Without the card and sales, it is still much cheaper than you will find up at the Grand Canyon, so if you are on your way to the canyon and haven't stocked up before you hit Williams, stop here!

It is the only real grocery store for 30 miles. They were good during the pandemic keeping things clean, not so much now. I don't think they've cleaned the keypads at the registers for a year. Most of the cashiers look like they hate their jobs. The store seems pretty well stocked but make sure you check the expiration dates.Now they've cut out the deli. It is a "pilot" test and Williams is the test store. It really sucks! Bring back the deli! You're down to a one star now.

I love how they are open early. I'm on a national tour for my hiking YouTube show "Beyond the Pavement" and save money on food by hitting up grocery stores such as Safeway. They usually have pretty good deals.

It's sad how this is the only grocery store in town. I usually only go there when I need something right away. Usually one or two things even though their prices are sky high. I went in today after 3:00 PM to pick up some fried chicken in the deli. I asked if there would be a batch of fresh fried chicken and the worker stated he had to do several things before he started another batch and it could be up to one hour to thirty minutes. I bought some things and waited out in my car. Went back in after thirty minutes and there was no sign of anything being cooked in the deep fryer.There also seems to be older sale price signs up on things. I bought some pepperoni and it didn't ring up with the sale price. Went back to check the price on the shelf, and the sale price looked to have already expired but it was still up on the shelf. I told the checker about this and I seriously don't think she cared.This is why I buy my groceries out of town where I can get better customer service.

Amber in the floral department is amazing!! She went above and beyond to get the flowers we wanted for my daughter's wedding. The bouquet she made was beautiful. She worked exta hard to make sure we had every flower we needed. She put her heart into the bouquet she made as well. I could not have asked for anything better. It was perfect. Being that this is the only grocery store in town, they have taken advantage with extremely high prices. Secondly, the deli staff, specifically Loretta. Are awful. Rude. Slow as hell and the food is always terrible quality. 10/10 don’t recommend. And if you see Loretta tell her there’s a lovely review of her on google 😘

This is a smaller store than what I'm used to, so there wasn't as much of a variety as I'm accustomed to.The interaction with employees was pleasant enough.Then came my receipt.$15.+ savings not being applied due to computer error.I'm a couponer.I do digital coupons too.Check your receipts! Always!!

I truly appreciate going into a grocery store that has everything we need in addition to having very friendly employees who help you in such a friendly manner. The store director, Amy Doyle, is extremely kind, very pleasant, always smiling whenever I see her. I never feel out of place there, always feel welcomed by everyone I encounter there. Thank you for always providing a wonderful shopping experience Safeway.

Great experience and employees seem happy and are very helpful. They always have what you need need and check out is pretty quick and easy. The Starbucks inside is also pretty quick and helpful. Restrooms are clean and the staff at the pharmacy are a pleasure. Parking may be a bit difficult as its always busy but luckily there is an overflow parking lot.

Although the store is well stocked considering the location with good organic and vegan options - one of the checkers here has to be the rudest checker I have ever dealt with in my 30 years of shopping. Dee was basically throwing my prize vegetables I spent time selecting which resulted in them falling out of the bag and becoming bruised. When I asked her to stop doing that and to just sit them on the counter she came up with some excuse why she had to throw my groceries around carelessly. I then asked if there was a manager available as I didn't want to pay top $$ for good produce to have her ruin it. Luckily the manager came out of his office and I asked him if he would kindly ask Dee not to throw my groceries around carelessly. He saw what was going on and asked her to knock it off and the bagger to turn the belt off so I could put my items back in my basket without their "help". Both Dee and the bagger knocked it off and made faces like little kids at one another, then the minute the manager walked away she went right back to doing what I had asked her nicely to quit doing. She then told me my total and I stood there and looked at the screen and noticed she hadn't rung up the coupon I had handed her. I said I didn't see my discount and she then produced it from wherever it was she had hidden it. I have no idea why any customer would put up with that treatment. So definitely don't get in line with her. She will toss your groceries around carelessly then try to pull a fast one with your coupons.

The store is neat, clean and well stocked, as I always expect of Safeway.However, the Williams, Arizona Safeway also has Mark and Mark; Mark in the Deli is bright, cheerful and quick to help and satisfy his customers!And Mark, who bagged my groceries, was cheerful and upbeat. His hard work, really made me feel appreciated as a customer!Thank You!

I had to go to the pharmacy after my Dr appt, where I was diagnosed with bronchitis. The pharmacy had my medications ready when I arrived. I turned around and saw the toilet paper isle was completely empty!

If you don't check your prices sometimes they will be higher. Wish they gave everyone especially members the digital coupon prices. Looking up the item takes some time and patience and like I said you don't always get that price anyways. Employees are friendly so can't be a bad place to work.
