This pharmacy is horrible, our script was put in on Friday the 22nd they told us two hours it would be ready. We explained we had to go out of town for 3 days and tried to see if we could move the script to a different Walgreens.x they denied that’s.Coming back 4 days later we went to pick it up after not hearing anything from them. We got there to pick up on the 26th and they told us 2 hours….worst place to go. This is the worst customer service, the staff is unbelievably rude.

Probably the worst Walgreens Pharmacy I have ever seen. It's always understaffed or closed. Multiple times I've had major delays in getting prescriptions. One time I even had to drive to a different Walgreens over 30 minutes away. I would recommend using a different pharmacy. I still like Walgreens Pharmacy, just not this one!!

This Walgreens pharmacy is terrible. Long waits to pick up prescriptions, it takes them forever to fill prescriptions, and more than once the prescription I was supposed to pick up on a specified day has been out of stock on that day. The automated phone system for this pharmacy is also usually grossly inaccurate as far as pick up times. Or it could just be that the staff at this Walgreens pharmacy is extremely slow and fails to meet the estimated times the automated system gives you. Unfortunately it’s the only pharmacy in the Vail AZ area.

We lived in Scottsdale for 25 years and had three different Walgreens, this one in Vail is hands down better than any of those. I do not know why the bad reviews except I guess when things go right at a pharmacy how many people actually leave a good review? lol They call us to make sure we are doing well and if we have any questions about the prescriptions. Sometimes it is crowded but we live in Vail, lol. There is not enough of anything for all the people moving here. Never been to Safeway or Walmart pharmacy so cannot comment on those. Everyone at Walgreens as always helped us and got the job done.

They used to have great techs who were friendly and helpful. Now they have a tech that refuses to discuss anything by phone and tells you you must come in to discuss anything having to do with your scripts or account. I moved my scripts to another pharmacy.

Every single time, it takes 25+ minutes for 3 cars to get through the drive thru. It is ridiculous. I know you can do better than that walgreens! Let's get better leadership and someone who actually cares about customers back there.

Trust the negative reviews, unlike the people who blindly give 5 stars. They're all here for a reason. It's not a conspiracy against them. It's a pertinent review of their terrible service.I had a vaccine shot scheduled. Waited at a closed pharmacy 15 minutes before my appointment as required by their policy.The pharmacy is listed as opening at 10, but there was a sign posted on the pull down that said they wouldn't open until 11 which was well after my appointment was scheduled. The "11" was crossed out and said 10:30, still after I was required to be there. A hapless employee showing a customer the location of an item near us walked away briefly, then returned and told us the pharmacy wasn't opening until eleven. When I asked about my appointment time, she shrugged and told me "I guess you'll have to wait."Absolutely terrible service is the standard for this Walgreens. This was just the final time I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Rude and dismissive service, along with not fulfilling prescriptions in a timely fashion is that standard.Addition: My wife's doctor accidentally sent a prescription to this Walgreens instead of the Safeway. The pharmacist called and said the doctor needed to change the prescription to a lower dose with more tablets. It's not the business of the pharmacist to change prescriptions. My wife was suspicious and asked the cost of the new prescription, and the price was ten times the original. Be careful here. Not just rude but suspiciously dishonest. She obviously cancelled the prescription and bought it from Safeway, which was literally ten times less for the same prescription.

Got to the pharmacy with one car in front of me at 2:33pm and was not helped at the window until 3:01 PM. It’s ridiculous to wait in the drive-through for almost 30 minutes. I will never go to this location ever again whoever manages it the pharmacy here should be fired. Clearly they don’t know what they’re doing with all their one star and two star reviews. P.m.

This Walgreens is useless. Their pharmacy is a joke. They’re never there, change their hours constantly, can’t just fill a script like a normal pharmacy. It’s always something. At this point, I hope they go out of business to make room for a store that will actually benefit our community. If you need a pharmacy, the pharmacist at frys is wonderful!

The pharmacy is horrible. They send texts sayings scripts are ready but once you get there to pick them up they tell you that they will have to refill it & you will need to get back in line to get it. The staff is less than helpful.

If I could rate this store zero stars I would. We scheduled our Covid boosters on line via the Walgreens app. Arrived there this morning and were told they did not have the boosters in stock. I asked the pharmacist why they schedule appointments when they do not have the booster on stock. She just ignored me and did not answer. In addition, Walgreens charges $196 for my statin on GoodRX while I can get the same drug at another store for $17.00Walgreens is off my list going forward. If you need a booster or any other vaccine go to CVS.

I just spent 20 plus min in line to pick up a prescription. They spent that 20+ min arguing with a customer in front of me. Then when that customer finally left they closed the Window because it was 2 min after 9pm! I rang the bell any how and got this B.S about how we understand and bla bla but we can sell after 9pm. I went inside @ 830 to try and pick it up but the windows inside were closed, because people didn't show up to work. Therefore, I have to pay the consequences. I'm moving all my prescriptions to another pharmacy I'd rather drive 20min then to put up with rude inconsiderate people. I've had more Negative than positive experiences with this pharmacy. Customer service is not their specialty.

Absolute worst pharmacy. They need to close this place down. People will die waiting for their medications. I have spent too much of my life going to and from this management neglected pharmacy only to learn that meds aren't ready and that I have to wait 30-45 mins after waiting that long in line just to get to someone to help me. This is of course after I get a text and/or a phone call saying that my meds are ready to be picked up. I do have to hand it to them for consistency. This has been my experience every time!

Any other Walgreens will order a medication on the spot. This one says they have to look into it, it's a big ordeal for them, and are less than helpful. They don't try to fill your prescription same day, and act overwhelmed and stressed even though they're a quarter as busy as other locations.. and nowhere near as understaffed as those locations.I don't have respect for people who act like doing their job is going out of their way to do you a favor.. and get overwhelmed and act like you're putting them out to do what they're paid for. 😑

Very long wait times on the phone and in person. We've spent over 2 hours in line or on the phone trying to get our medicine over the last two days. One hour was just to find out they wouldn't fill the prescription unless the doctor changed it. The second hour was to find out they needed to several days to get the chemicals to fill the prescription. Not fun when sick

Worst Walgreens I've ever been in. I called ahead and asked if they had FREE COVID 19 tests available. They said yes. In store, it turns out, the pharmacy was closed so they were trying to charge me over $50 for 2 tests. THAT'S ROBBERY. Walgreens receives the test for free but the manager explained to me that it was to cover the cost of shelf space. All it is is taking advantage of those less fortunate.

This is the slowest and most understaffed pharmacy I've ever been to. The upper management of this location should be taking action on a level of neglect that borderline creates a community health hazard. Between the number of times our prescriptions were not available or given to someone else, and the staff who preach fake information and politics about the government or how we shouldn't get vaccinated, this place is unacceptably operated. Given that there are almost no other alternatives in Vail this absolutely should have been addressed at some point in the past 18 months of a pandemic. If they are making as much revenue and business indicates, then they can put that revenue to work to solve these deficiencies.

Every time I’ve gone to pick up my prescriptions it’s been an absolute struggle. The first time a coworker was being derogatory towards another in front of customers (Anita was the poor woman dealing with abuse from customers and coworkers) - then this month my husband goes to pick up my rx and they give him the medications before taking them away and asking him to wait. He waited 20 mins in the drive thru before he had to leave so they have him the “ones that were ready”. I did a fast pass pickup for my script today and when I get there they’re still not ready and they ask me to wait 10-15 minutes. I didn’t have time to wait that long so after 10 I had to leave without my rx.While I waited to transferred to another pharmacy because I’m absolutely done with the mismanagement here

Went in to get booster shot for husband and I who are both front line employees, and were discriminated immediately. Asked question after question about our "ability" to be vaccinated...then was NEVER notified to bring covid card and she refused to give it to us based on this too when we were never notified to bring it to bring. I will NEVER go to this pharmacy and do NOT recommend them at all for ANYTHING. And NONE of the employees were wearing masks either!

I renewal my prescriptions online with the store. They tell me the day and time pick it up. When I arrive, it is never ready so I have to wait.I renewed 2 prescriptions last Thursday morning and was given Monday at 2:00pm to pick it up.. I arrivd at 2:30 and was told one was out of stock and waiting for a delivery. I was not happy that I didn't receive a text to let me know.

This use to be a great store, no more. I am at the store once again to pick up medication that was suppose to be ready days ago. Called this morning and was promised they would be ready by 2:00 pm. I am now at the store (5:50 pm) and they are still not ready. This happens most of the time, they always blame the staffing. I am sure the staff working in the pharmacy are trying, but the management at this location, or this region needs to get their act together. This has been the normal the last eight months.

Horrible Service 20 NOV. Tone of voice means a lot to me! When I’m asked a question and my answer is “I don’t know, I only know that my notification states that the order is ready for pickup.” Don’t get mad at me. Thankfully the manager at this location has reiterated my belief that no one should shop at Walgreens!

Its time to change to a different pharamcy. I was literally walking towards the window and they closed the the shades and didn't respond when I called out (staffing issues). The person at the window saw me walking up. It's to bad as I like the people that work there but walgreens in general not so much.

Edit: MIL called and miscommunicated with the pharmacist. Pharmacist refused to talk to me when I called to clarify. She listened to my mother in law instead of MYSELF, then refused to speak with ME about MY medication. So all I have to go off of is what MIL told me. Communication with ME regarding MY PRESCRIPTIONS should SUPERCEDE talking to ANYONE ELSE. This pharmacy manager is the worst I've encountered. I drive across town to go to another pharmacy because they refuse to TRY to have my medications in stock. Even if I call to remind themnl. Check my chat, everything is there. I fill it every month.Previous review: They wouldn't fill my medication until I got there. Even though I was calling ahead to make sure it was ready.

I have been coming here since it was built.. they have been nothing but kind and helpful in the pharmacy and in front at the counter. All you people leaving bad reviews need to get over it and remember why you moved out here. They are overwhelmed and still keep a smile on their face even when they are slammed at the pharmacy. They have never rushed me through the drive through just to get to the next car in the never ending line! If you want to leave a bad review maybe you should look in the mirror. Nothing is perfect. Made an appointment for a COVID vaccine at 6PM on 5/02/2022. Arrived and was told they were closed, I told them I had an appointment and I got attitude and was told I would uave to wait a very l9ng time because there were people ahead of me. Those people were in the drive through of the pharmacy and didn't have an appointment. Very disappointing, I'll drive further and take my business elsewhere.

I wouldn't even go here if it weren't for the fact that they are the only pharmacy nearby. Some of my most recent complaints are that the ATM has hardly ever work the last like 10 times I have been there and today the pharmacy was supposed to open at 7 but when I get there it is closed I waited around until 7:15. My husband called and apparently they won't be open until 7:30-7:45. There will now be some people who need to pick up meds before work or whatever else they have planned for today and will not be able to. We should be able to count on pharmacy hours.

I love our Vail Walgreens! The Pharmacy is great, the Pharmacists and techs are extremely helpful. Whether its with a prescription or over the counter meds, they answer my questions and help me find the right combination of items needed. The front staff, used to be excellent, but has kind of dropped the ball lately. Many times there's a long line and I'll clerks hanging around in the middle of the store joking around. Not cool when a customer has to tell them to get to work and open other registers. But, other than that, the store is clean and well stocked and hopefully they'll get that top quality of employees back like it used to be.

I can truly say that this is the worst run operation I’ve ever encountered in any store of my life. By the way I’m 69 years old, so that means a lot of stores I’ve been in. Worst of all is the pharmacy.Stay away from this place if you possibly can unless you enjoy frustration and have extra hair to pull out.
