This is a nice store that we have shopped at since it opened.However, it is completely ridiculous how few if any (sometimes) checkout lanes they have open. More self-check lanes have been added again. Self checkout is ok when you have a few items but with a cart full of groceries it sucks.6 PM on Sunday doesn't seem unreasonable to have more than one checkout lane open considering the store was relatively busy.If I wanted a job as a checkout clerk and/or bagger at Safeway I would apply for a job. If I wanted all self-check I would go to Walmart and pay less because I'mdoing part of the work.

Obviously every business has flaws and mess up, but their customer service is impeccable! Every time, no questions asked they will fix it. Whatever that looks like. Just be a kind human when addressing an issue. Remember it is a human on the other side of that desk. Clean, friendly, great produce section, and the best view in town!

Way better than the Safeway in Rita Ranch. Much wider selection of products, in a much newer and cleaner store. The employees are extremely helpful and friendly, especially Aiyana at the service desk. She has gone above and beyond when I've had a problem, most notably getting my lost wallet back to me with all my cards and cash intact. The employees in the gas station have also gone above and beyond.

The Safeway in Vail is brand new and very clean. All of the staff I've interacted with has been very friendly and helpful. The selection of produce, meat and other products is great. The import and craft beer, and wine selection is also excellent.

My neighborhood grocery store. Always clean and well stocked. The bakery always does a GREAT job and keeps lots of treat options every time we go. Also, the sushi Friday specials are cool with a really good sushi chef making it fresh. Glad we have a great neighborhood market. Oh... and a parking lot gas station with a small market where you can use your grocery rewards for gas discounts. Yeah... that's right. My neighborhood market is better than yours. 😁

Bringing red tape to grocery shopping. Three times the.... scan. What... what? Hear me out. To get a sale price you have to 1. Have an account. 2. Have the app open and on the phone in the store. 3. Take poctures of sales tags that are digital coupons, 4. Scan all barcodes of evry item, 5, give you an account at the cashier... NOT self check out, 6. Have cashier scan item, 7. Check sale came off, 8. Call customer service manager, 9. Scan the next item and repeat at nausium.. @kroger... who thought this is the experience we want for our customers? Big take aways. Do not use self check out as it's next to impossible to get sales prices. To get all sales prices is at least 20 minutes check out for a full cart, maybe more. Imo this really is bringing the RED TAPE to grocery shopping.

I love this Safeway. The staff is very friendly. Produce usually good. Store seems clean. Deli staff need more training, but still friendly. Nice to have a starbucks inside.

If they would fix the temperature of their bagged produce items so that they weren't being kept at temps well below freezing and if they didn't stock produce that has been frozen somewhere along the line, I would be able to give 4 stars. Regular prices are higher on 99% of what I buy over all other stores I routinely shop. If they were more competitively prices, I would give 5 stars

This SB is extremely slow never enough workers I waited about 20-30 min for two grande drinks. It’s always a long wait here. They definitely need to hire fast paced employees this is redicilous. I’d give zero stars if I could

I just love my local Safeway! The staff is always a delight and very helpful with any request needed. Not only is this the closest grocer to me, but it's the one I prefer because of the amazing service I receive anytime I shop. They also carry one of my favorite wines!

We have the choice between another grocery store and this one, we live in between both. We are loyal to Safeway due to selection and coupons through the app. They also offer ApplePay which their competitor does not.

I’ll keep driving 6 miles further to shop at Fry’s in Rita Ranch. Prices are better, ground beef isn’t tough and chewy, milk is $2.00 less per gallon. The only reason I stop here anymore is when we are almost out of milk but both brands you carry don’t even make it to the best by date, this last gallon of Shamrock started smelling old 6 days before the date and yes it was properly kept refrigerated including a cold cooler while in the car driving straight home. At least Fry’s guarantees their milk for 10 days. Your $5.29 a gallon is almost double the price at Fry’s or Walmart and theirs doesn’t go bad 6 days before the best by date.

I couldn't be happier with our local Safeway! The store is super clean, everything I've looked for in three trips was in stock, meat, produce, dairy aisles are full and the meat and produce are top notch!This store has met my high expectations every time I've been there.11-18-22This store is so clean it's amazing!03-31-23The Deli counter is severely understaffed, but the young man that was working it was very patient, professional, and pleasant.

Couldn't find friendlier staff. So helpful & considerate. Great produce and don't get me started on the deli! Huge array of cheeses for this cheese-a-holic!! Great prices & very clean. If you're tired of shopping you can have a seat & catch your breath at the Starbucks conveniently located near the entrance. My new favorite store!

The staff here is always so friendly. They genuinely ask all about what you’ve been up to or plans for the weekend like their your buddies. You also notice they constantly stay moving and fixing any disordered displays and keeping everything perfect for a fantastic customer experience.

Amazing local store! Friendly staff, and always very clean and tidy. The checkouts can be a little slow at times but the fresh ingredients are well worth the wait. I recommend that you sign up with your phone number in order to receive sale prices as well as discounts on fuel at the gas station. This store also offers curbside service so you can stay in your vehicle and stay safe in these hard times.

Best Safeway in all of Tucson area, it is big and beautiful with spacious isles to walk through. It almost feels like a luxury grocery shopping experience. The bakery has beautiful cakes at a reasonable prices. The lady working the bakery was absolutely wonderful. Great experience.

This location is a small store compared to the Fry's down the road. Nonetheless it is a clean and well stocked grocery. Several departments stand out: the liquor department is large and stocked with a nice variety; the meat department is also very good; the produce department doesn't have the widest selection but the quality seems good. Staff is nice and helpful. All-in-all a good grocery in a great location for most of Vail.

Not very friendly. I constantly have the feeling that I am being fleeced. Recently I bought a small shallot which a couple days ago would have costed me maybe $0.05., but they changed their price from cost/lb to each at $0.50. For per item I would have bought the largest I could find, not the smallest. But this seems typical for this store - don't pay attention and they will stick it to you. While there is a great employee in dairy, most seem stuck-up. I spent six years working for a grocery store between highschool and my undergraduate degree (I have a PhD), and do my best to be friendly and supportive to grocery clerks, but I find employees at this location wanting. Funny, I can go to the Walmart a few miles away and be treated very well, and not feel that I am being robbed.I should add that the employee working the self checkout on weekends is great (at this point I avoid shopping at Safeway except when he is working).As I look through other reviews, I must say that I was kind. Read other's posts, you will no likely see that my giving Safeway two stars was generous.(fourth edit?... Why would anyone shop at Albertsons/Safeway ? Seriously, consider "why would anyone pay for a whole head of garlic when they only were buying a clove? A shallot is like a large garlic. Do you pay 50 cents for the whole head , or 5 cents for the clove? I can afford 45 cents, but Safeway thinks I am too dumb to know that they jacked up the cost something like ten times."Don't fall for management's bs. They are without a doubt trying to screw you.The PR posted by Safeway/Albertsons is simply that. They only are interested in how much money that they can extract from you.

Great store, clean quality carts including several dual seat child carts and mini carts for quick agile in and out trips. I've had an occasional price discrepancy and the customer service desk has been friendly and helpful 100% of the time, always fixing my issue. The young people they choose for their front staff come across as very respectful and polite, you would hardly guess it if they're all teenagers.

I’m not sure why I need to work for Safeway checking myself out when Safeway does not pay me to work for them. 4 employees standing around laughing the ENTIRE time I’m checking out an ENTIRE cart of groceries. Not once did anyone offer to help or to actually work for THEIR pay and check me out! I’m so sick of being forced to work for companies and not being paid, self check out should be an option not forced. So tired of lazy employees. Where’s my employee discount?!?

I absolutely love our local Safeway!!! They have great deals that even beat Walmart but you have to have the app and plan ahead. I just got two of my 12 packs of 805 for the price of one. I got a great deal on some meats 4 bone in NY strip good marbling for $23 I don't recall the weight but I love BBQING and you can find great deals at Safeway!
