As a restaurant critic, I had the pleasure of dining at Sunny Side Up Cafe in Tucson, Arizona, and let me tell you, it was a stellar experience. I couldn't resist trying their renowned Catalina Special, and boy, was it a delight!The dish consisted of two succulent sausage patties nestled on top of perfectly flaky biscuits. And let's not forget about the scrambled eggs that were expertly cooked to fluffy perfection. A nice local place where locals gather! A great home town vibe with lots of charm and great food. Celeste was one of the best servers I’ve ever had in the US. Ignore all the ketchup on my breakfast bowl pic. It doesn’t come that way. They also had some great specials including a lunch burger that I might have to go back and try. Looking for a small town homey vibe? This is it.

Sunny Side Up Cafe is a great place for breakfast and/or lunch on Oracle Highway in Catalina. Some might find the service a bit too friendly (see chatty) but the experience was very fine and everybody was working hard on the day I was in. The breakfast burrito I enjoyed was large and tasty. Coffee was fresh and delicious also. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. Highly recommended.

I have a grandson with special needs. He loves for me to take him there. They are all so good with him. He loves the food but he's very messy. I was trying to clean it up but the gentleman said don't worry just let him enjoy his food we'll take care of the mess. It put such a smile on Jackson's face. Everything we drive by there He says my friends are in there Grandma😍

This was a great little diner. It was very clean and had plenty of seating. Service was fast and we got our drinks right away. Our food was brought quickly and as ordered. The chili con carne omelette was not greasy and large portion. The chili was canned and needed some more flavor. The hash browns were cooked just right! The pancakes were the right size but a little too rubbery. The home fries were cooked with fresh green peppers and onions, which was great! However, they lacked any seasoning. Our drinks were always full and we always had a friendly service. I give this place q 5 star because they were overall tip notch. The flavors and cooking can always be improved.

Had the best breakfast ever. The quesadilla was amazingly delicious and the staff was great. Definitely would come back. Came back again in the sunrise quesadilla was again excellent and of course the staff was always excellent I would recommend anybody to come here because the prices are reasonable and the food is always delicious again thank you for my excellent meal.

Very cute! The waitress was doing great. She had her hands full because this is New Years Day 2024!The food left a lot to be desired. Chicken frien steak was floating in Gravey! And the gravey should of been thicker The steak its self was not very goodThe hash browns were not very brownI don't usually eat eggs but we ordered them scrambled. This is amazing you may never hear it again from me The eggs were the best thing served.Bisquick and gravey was dry in the middle of bisquit and grainy like lumpy flour! .As for all said we won't be going back.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu!Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap parking! And accessable restrooms

So the food is just okay, nothing fantastic. I was disappointed badder the price is high, but portions are just average. My husband ordred the pork tenderloin special for $10.00. it came with 3 small pieces of pork, 2eggs and biscuits and gravy.

if you're looking for a true piece of Americana, look no further. at the border of Catalina State Park, this is a must for a hearty breakfast or lunch.personal service, diner classics, down-to-earth atmosphere and good coffee, all is right with the world in here.

Friendly place. Decent meal. I had the guac, pepper jack and green chili omelette. Very tasty, but false advertising since it was barely a teaspoon of guac. Very good home fries, and delicious, flavorful standard coffee. Also a bit miffed at $5 for two small sausage patties, shoulda had the bacon which was 4 slices. I will return, as several other menu items looked good.

Tried a new place for breakfast Sunday 6/4. Wanted to like this place due to really nice staff and good reviews. I sat at the counter and had clear view of the kitchen staff. Wished I had watched before I ate, would had left before ordering. I watch the cooks, especially the guy in black Hoodia wipe his face, mouth and clothes then grab food to serve. I watch this happen several times. Not cool and no care to the quality of food he is preparing.So many health violation.

The breakfast burrito was tasteless , it was just a mushy mixture wrapped in a tortilla. $16!!!!!!The place must have new owners because I’ve eaten here before and the food and the atmosphere are way different today.I’ll NEVER go back !

i ordered bacon and sausage and it was raw. the rest our food was very poorly cooked. our table was very dirty when we sat down. the manager was extremely snappy and unprofessional. our waitress only came once so we couldn't get refills. overall it's a really sh1tty place and terrible service. wouldn't eat there again.
