I’m taking a summer art class and needed some supplies. As a true beginner, I was intimidated to walk into an art store (vs. a big box craft store) to get my supplies. All I knew was I had a list of supplies to get and I was a bit overwhelmed by the vast supplies Posner’s carries. However, my concern was quickly allayed by a very kind associate who walked with me to each section, gave me a range of options, and briefly explained pro’s and con’s of various choices. She was kind and helpful and encouraging in a genuine way. I now know why Posner’s has been a Tucson institution for as long as it has and why it will continue to be the go-to destination for art supplies. Great inventory and unparalleled service. No, make that superlative service. I have no idea where my interest in art will take me, but Posner’s will always be my first stop. Thank you!

Delightful store that’s been my go-to art store for over 50 years, starting with my 1st semester as a Fine Arts major at the U of A. They have grown and developed over the years, and have pretty much everything I could use as an artist or crafter. Plus they have a top-notch framer who can meet the needs of anyone looking to have a piece of art enhanced and professionally displayed. And finally - an art store with a company pet bunny? I’m all in.

Great location to purchase all sorts of art supplies. They have multitudes of options for paper as well as any kind of art supply you could think of.The people who work there are always very nice, and usually offer help if you need any.Supplies are priced nicely, though there are a few things that I think are a little high in price for what they're really worth.If you have the time to pop in for a second, there's also a cute bunny that stays under the stairs on the first floor.

Great store! Surprisingly well stocked for a fairly small space. Every medium you could want!! Friendly and knowledgeable staff, good prices, terrific location. (SunTran streetcar, on-street and off-street parking nearby.) Highly recommend.

Staff was quick to acknowledge us and we were allowed to shop freely while they were at the counter. We didn't need help so we were in and out quickly. Well stocked . A little on the small side but the inventory was well managed. Parking is a real chore in this area.... so plan to walk a little

I am new to Tucson and was looking for some unique decorative papers and found exactly what I was looking for at Posner’s! The woman who worked there was very friendly and helpful. I didn’t really look around but it appeared that they had an extensive art supply inventory, so now I know THE place to go for art supplies in Tucson!

This was my second visit. I find the staff VERY helpful. Last time I had a lot of questions about fountain pens and they were so patient and heĺpful. This time I had a question about places to draw and they gave so many suggestions. They were also very concerned about helping me get just the right supplies that I wanted.

This store has a very decent selection of art supplies, in my case I can only refer to watercolor supplies which is what I was there for. Their prices are in line with the one other art supplies store I had been buying from. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

I ordered a bunch of card stock and asked for them to cut it to the same size and it was not even close. I wanted 7 1/2 x 20 and they are all different sizes . And not straight cuts... I did this type of thing in high-school. It's not hard .

Cannot believe I haven't reviewed this place until now! I will preface by saying I love buying art supplies, so if you're like me, exercise caution bc this place is so fun. First of all, I believe it's family run, and all the employees are always super kind and helpful! Now, I usually only go in here for fun, but if you're taking an art class at the u of a (at least one of the 100 level studios) they make it sooooo easy to get all your supplies from here (to my knowledge, they make up little packages for at least some of the classes so you can literally just go and tell them which class you're in w which professor and they have all the supplies ready for you, or can at least make it up for you if you give them the list!) Most of my experiences however have been for my own personal projects! They seem to carry a good variety of supplies for different art forms (think acrylic, watercolor, oil paint, spray paint, print making ink, fountain pen ink, origami paper, basswood, and so much more!). I'm personally a huge fan of their selection of beautiful paper (like big individual sheets of specialty paper). I will also mention that I have forced friends to come here with me and they have always ended up buying things lol. Anyways this is a really great store and even if you're not an artist or in an art class I'd recommend checking it out!

I needed something small for a project I'm working on - not a lot of money to be spent. The young woman that manages Posner's could not have been more helpful. She actually listened to what I was asking for, looked at the project I was trying to duplicate and while she didn't have the stock paper I needed, she directed me to a different store where I might be able to find the paper. Again, she took the time, listened and helped me. I will definitely avoid the bigger craft/art stores, where the attitude are terrible and not helpful, and return here for everything I need. Yeah small businesses in Tucson!!!

An amazing art supplies store at the heart of the University campus. Albeit compact in size, carried everything that you could possibly expect from a good art store. High quality products and a very knowledgeable staff.This business has been an integral part of the UA campus landscape for a long time, more recently in it's current location. I would encourage you to check out also the upstairs where a lot of the framing and canvases are sold.Reasonably priced, not a bargain deal, but not overly inflated costs either. If you know that you are in-and-out in 15 minutes, make use of the short stay parking at the front of the store!

Great place to get art supplies! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only bad thing I could say is because its downtown/university area like all shops in that area finding parking can be tricky. However there is a church and parking garage near Posners. From those locations its only a couple minute walk to Posners or shops nearby it.

Posner's is a great store. They have a wide variety of pens and professional coloring markers which is important for me since I work on comics. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they always make me feel welcome. They are pet friendly and will either validate your parking or give you quarters for the meter, which is just superb customer service. They even started ordering Copic brand markers when I ordered several through them.

I love this store. Even though I am no artist I often find myself strolling by just to add to my Collection, and if by some brizare fluke they do not have What you are looking for just ask and maybe they can order it for you. Thanks Ladies always a pleasure to stop by.

Great Service! Guy attending the front was helpful and knew what was in the store. I got my charcoal drawing sheets at fair retail. Parking was a bit of an effort. Busy street on a Saturday 15minutes before closing time, so I was glad to get what I needed and get out of there.

This place is AMAZING!!! They have an enormous selection of paper for every kind of project you could imagine, including lokta and similar papers for book binding. The staff was super helpful and friendly.

This art store has almost everything I could want, to get back into drawing with pencil and paper, a grand selection of inking pens, sketch pads, markers of almost every sort. And clay for both sculpting, and even plasticine for stop motion filming! And their prices are amazing as well.

Been in business for years. They didn't have what I needed but they ordered it for me. Owner is more familiar with stock and product than is the help. Parking can be problematic, may have to pay tp park. Great places to eat in the area. I would definitely go back again.
