I wish I could rate poodles and pals more than 5 stars ❤️ Today 11/8/23 was my first time taking my goldendoodle to get his first big boy hair cut AKA full package and let me tell you, this place is AMAZING! they gave my doodle exactly what my fiancé & I asked for.The whole staff is so sweet and so patient with the dogs and my boy came home in such a happy mood. I also love that they let the dogs roam around free rather than sticking them in a kennel like most grooming places do. I highly recommended this place to everyone and will definitely spread the word!I’m so glad I found my permanent grooming salon for my boy! Thank you so much poodles and pals! ❤️

Although I no longer live in Tucson, I still drive to Poodles and Pals every 6 weeks so that Nacho and Amira get groomed and spoiled by Mars. If you want your dogs to be loved and genuinely enjoying their time while getting groomed, this is the best place. No exaggeration at all. Amira is a blind and special needs dog but they are so accommodating and welcoming. I also always get compliments on how good they both smell and on all the fun colors Mars does for Nacho’s tail. Stress free and fun environment!!! The best.

Amazing, friendly service! I will most definitely be bringing my girl back here every month!Jessica is so sweet and very educated. My doggo tends to be timid in new places and she was welcomed and loved on perfectly! On top of amazing service, I have never seen my dog look so beautiful after the groomer like she did after getting her from here. They also took this absolutely ADORABLE photo of her after her grooming to update her grooming report. I love having this grooming report as it has comments on how she did in her visit and of course the photo!Bring your animals here! They are AMAZING!

Jessica, owner of Poodles & Pals, and her staff are amazing!! Jessica is absolutely doing what she loves and was born to do, you can see that with how she loves on our dogs. My poodle loves her!! She is so patient, and kind, and when she is through with Princess she is stunning!! She gave me some great tips on ways I can keep her looking good between grooming's. I love that her and her staff are working to keep me safe, practicing safe Covid protocol. So happy with her services, I can't imagine going anywhere else.

I am so thankful for Jess and her team for the excellent care they provide for my own dogs and especially for my clients’ dogs. They are a team I can trust with some of my most nervous and even aggressive client dogs. They are very experienced, very patient and great with their dog handling!

Poodles and Pals are the best grooming/bath location I have found in the northern Tucson area. Very courteous staff, that are accommodating and careful with your dogs.I have two huskies and god only knows how much they shed! They always come out of P&P all clean, lean (all that undercoat gone!), and smelling fresh!! Always had great experiences!

Jessica has not only done my personal dogs, but several of the worst matted, scared, and abused dogs for our rescue. She’s the most sensitive and sweetest groomer when working with our terrified rescue dogs. Pictured is one of the mama dogs we took in that was literally one giant mat which was causing her pain every time she moved (and she had puppies to nurse). Mama was so terrified and in pain and Jessica reassured her, took her time while comforting her and worked her magic allowing mama dog to feed her puppies pain free (and looked amazing ,like a new dog). She is truly the best of the best and not only is an amazing groomer, but a compassionate one who truly understands dogs and is able to make the groomers a positive experience for those that are fearful or have not had the greatest of experiences elsewhere. The only downfall is that I moved to the Phoenix area and I wish I could clone her (but I have no problem making the hour and a half drive to her when my dogs need it as I know my pups are in the best of hands with her)! 💕

I cannot share enough good news about the experience I’ve had at this facility. Carolyn is amazing and my dog has never looked better. It’s like living with a little stuffed animal. He enjoys going there and doesn’t freak out when I pull up and take him in. I love the fact that they know him and he gets super excited to go see them. He is an unusual breed and grooming can be challenging, but he looks amazing. Thank you so much.

Poodles and Pals Holistic Pet Spa SCALPED my beautiful goldendoodle! Zoe's 5 y/o - so we're fully aware of characteristic doodle matting. We've used other groomers, none have scalped her this badly! (choosing not to return to prior groomers - we don't want our sweet Zoe caged - per new policies.) You'd think a poodle place would have experience w/ common matting? Nevertheless we were prepared, as always, for a short cut to her body, legs, neck & beard, if necessary. But my husband & I are very particular about Zoe's face. At drop off my husband was specific about what we wanted. Instead, the groomer took the easy way out & SCALPED our beautiful Zoe! (shaving our dog took 5+ hrs? Why?) When I called to speak to a manager the phone call lasted less than 2 min, (per ph records) unable to say even a handful of words before the manager began arguing & talking over me. Regardless of my 'tone', I'm still a dissatisfied paying customer rightfully angry for SCALPING my dog! The manager couldn't keep her mouth shut for 2 MIN to LISTEN to a customer complaint? No attempt at deescalating/resolving the situation, rather confrontational defensiveness, insisting "No refund of any kind will be given." Their FB response dishonestly claims Zoe was "severely matted" - suggesting WE neglect appropriate care for Zoe & regular grooming. Essentially their screw up & incompetence is our fault. Yet dozens of Zoe lovers will attest otherwise. In fact, we're meticulous w/ grooming bc Zoe is somewhat of a local celebrity - frequent modeling, theater appearances & most importantly working w/ special needs children. We are always complimented over Zoe's soft, clean & sweet smelling fur. Zoe's always ready for public engagements & snuggles. In fact, I just trimmed her head/face last wk w/ thinning sheers. There's absolutely NO WAY Zoe had "severe matting" -not on her face & certainly not enough to require SCALPING. They even clipped her eye lashes? 😠 Looking closer at their business practices, it's evident that they screwed up while grooming Zoe. (pics on FB show "severely matted" doodles, yet those doodles were somehow spared reasonable tufts on their head, beard & face - per proper doodle cut.) Contrary w/ our Zoe, they tried to cover their screw up by resorting to defensive, unprofessional altercation. They had no intention of owning their mistake, guaranteeing their work or making amends for customer satisfaction. Had they just apologized & offered reparation. Instead, they met customer dissatisfaction w/ confrontation. Most of their reviews are suspicious, likely from family members & personal friends rather than legitimate customers. I've been contacted by 2 people who claim their reviews posted on FB have been deleted. Fortunately social media/internet reviews are not the only reach within small towns. As mentioned, our Zoe is beloved by MANY. Consequently, the responses to Zoe's appearance have ranged from SAD & PITY - SHOCKED & ANGRY. My husband brings Zoe to school to comfort his special needs students; so far 1 of his students saw Zoe & panicked, as Zoe was unrecognizable. Zoe's loved ones are loyal & motivated to take action. TODAY, Poodles & Pals instigated at least 1 of their employees & 2 of their friends to harass & troll me on social media. Classy. This is how they handle customer complaints? I think the worst part of this experience is their complete lack of compassion. They're literally laughing at our anguish. (see laughing emojis on our fb review.) Basically, they're laughing & mocking an ESA, beloved by autistic & down syndrome children just to save face. SHAMEFUL!

This was Harley‘s first experience at a groomer. They were all very nice and kind did exactly what I asked, and when I picked him up, he was very calm, which was reassuring.

I've taken my husky to Poodles and Pals now for over a year. She is a great lover of digging and chasing lizards, so she tends to get filthy and the sticks, and in some cases entire branches, from chasing lizards everywhere, get caught up in her fabulous coat. We manage to get most of the big stuff, but Poodles and Pals does an excellent job of taking her from Cujo to show dog in just a few hours. Our baby just loves going to hang out with her buddies and we know she is getting the best care and love while she is there.

If you have a fearful dog, go elsewhere. I have two small rescues from Thailand who have tragic histories of trauma and abuse, and they have been rehabilitating from PTSD for over a year, with great success, thanks to a famous dog whisperer in LA. I am extremely cautious about who I take them to, and I always make sure they have experience with fearful or traumatized rescues, and I always make sure the people are well informed of the situation. I do this not only as a courtesy to the groomer, but to protect the dogs and ensure a positive experience. They have been going to the groomer monthly in California without any issues. I am new to Tucson, and researched groomers extensively before choosing this place. I was assured that they had the requisite experience to handle fearful dogs, and that, given the situation, Miranda is the one to schedule with. I waited weeks for the first available appointment with Miranda, and dropped them off as instructed at 10:30. At drop off, I repeated their story and reiterated their issues with the staff, and was assured that they knew how to handle fearful dogs. I had been told that they would be ready in about 4 hours. I waited to make sure they could approach them and get their collars off before leaving. They did so without problem (so they told me…it turns out they actually only got one of the dog’s collar’s off, but they had told me otherwise before giving me the ok to leave). After 3.5 hours, I called to see how it had gone, and to confirm the 2:30 pick up time. They told me that they had other dogs come in so they had not yet “gotten” to mine. They had been kept in their enclosure for nearly 4 hours, with no contact. This is an example of “What NOT to do with Fearful Dogs, 101.” I ran right over. They seemed genuinely surprised that after being left in a cage in unfamiliar dog-filled surroundings for 4 hours, they could no longer approach my dogs, only further demonstrating their lack of experience. Any groomer with experience with fearful dogs knows that when left unattended for that long, their stress simply builds and builds....They clearly did not understand how stressful a situation that is for dogs with PTSD. They offered no explanation for why they were not groomed at their appointment time, except to say that other dogs, who had booked AFTER me, were given priority, which is insulting and discourteous, even for dogs without issues. I believe that they imagine themselves to be experienced with rescue dogs who have PTSD, and that they are basically good people who were not intentionally deceptive. But the truth, whether they want to hear it or not, is that they may be wonderful groomers with most dogs, but for rescues who have PTSD or related fearful issues, they simply are not as knowledgeable as they would like to think they are. Even if my dogs had not been overly fearful, I believe it would have been courteous, if nothing else, to inform me that my appointment had been pushed back 4 hours. I received NO call to say things had changed, nothing. And my little rescues with severe PTSD were left unattended in an enclosure for 4 hours, which yes, is in fact an extremely stressful situation for them.

I have been doing business with my groomer for about 8 years now. Jessica has had the patience I needed for my two fur babies who have now passed on. She is right on with the animals and their feelings. I now have a new fur baby in my family and she has started his life under her care. He loves her. I feel like I can trust them with my most loved possession. Jessica has a great staff working with her and I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else.

This was our first time taking our fur baby (miniature poodle) here and we absolutely loved it! This is the best he has ever looked after being groomed and his fur is so soft! The staff was very friendly and got us in on short notice. We also love that the dogs are able to play with each other while they aren't on the grooming table. We will definitely be back in the future!

Took my pup here based off a recommendation. Waited to get in, longer than preferred. Showed a pic of their own website of the cut I wanted, they stated no problem. Picked my dog up to a basic haircut that was nearly shaved. Awful. To boot, it was 35% greater in price than my friend recommended. And more than I pay for my golden doodle. This pup is 20#. Trying to keep it above board, my friend recommended I email my dissatisfaction. To my hesitance, I did, thinking it might help provide constructive feedback. No response weeks later. Such, that i feel strongly to leave a review where I never would normally. I understand the labor shortage issue, yet no apology for a terrible haircut or a response to my email. Not a win business or ask new business. I would from yourself, it will be the same look.

I've been bringing my mini poodle Nyx here ever since his first grooming experience a y ear ago. People really underestimate how important a dogs first bath and haircut is for their entire life. It really sets the tone for how they'll react to future groomers.Poodles and Pals did an excellent job of introducing Nyx to the grooming procedure and made sure not to stress him out too much. Ever since that first grooming, every other experience has been well behaved with no issues reported. We usually take Nyx here for a full cut once every quarter with a bath at the local PetSmart in between. Zero complaints about behavior. In fact, the PetSmart folks have added on additional services for free due to how well behaved Nyx is.Thanks for the consistent high quality grooming!

Poodles & Pals are the best groomers in Tucson. They go out of their way to make it an enjoyable experience for your dogs. Cecelia grooms my Bichons and they look just perfect when she is done. The atmosphere is calm and the dogs have fun when they go there.

I called to make an appointment 2 days ago. I was told I'd have to have a current rabies vaccine. No problem, I took them to Dove Mountain Veterinarians had both dogs examined, they were given their current rabies vaccine, a clean bill of health, and I left. I take the dogs in for their appointments this morning and I asked if they wanted the shot records? The groomer said oh I forgot, yes let me see them. She goes to enter them in the computer and says you'll have to reschedule because it takes 48 hours for the rabies vaccine to be effective. The owner said it's right in the folder if you'd read it you'd know. Nobody mentioned it, nobody sent me their booklet. I was told it was for the protection of the other dogs. One dog pooped on the floor while I was there. Someone picked it up with a glove , but no cleaner was ever used. There was an 80 lb dog in with the little ones, sniffing around my little dog in a small area. One paw in the wrong place and my dog would have been hurt. He was already scared of him. I was asked to reschedule again. Then I told the owner i would not reschedule now or ever. That common sense should come into play. She told me not to be rude and I told her to give me my dogs that there were plenty of groomers in Tucson! I live an hour out of town. I had a salon and lunch appointment as well as shopping. All had to be canceled because of a woman without an ounce of common sense.

Rocky loves going to poodles and pals. The staff is very friendly and I appreciate that he is left free to walk about instead of being placed in a cage! The staff always listens to any specificRequests I might have, for instance I have a cocker spaniel and I like his ears cut to the leather even though that’s not a typical spaniel cut.And they always follow through with my request.I appreciate that they write things down so the rest of the staff are aware aIf any changes made. I would definitely refer friends and family to Poodles and Pals.

I was alerted to this business through a supervisor that worked in my office. I was complaining to her how my dog had basically PTSD after going to the big box chain groomer. She recommended Poodles and Pals. Next cut I took my dog Horace to them. He’s a Schnoodle with cotton candy fur. I bring him in and the first thing I noticed was the very friendly atmosphere. They allow the dogs to roam around the work area. The dogs appear to be happy and low stress. When I came to get Mr. H he was running around with another dog (poodle) ans didn’t appear to like a neurotic mess that he usually is at the other place. I can repeat this story several times over the past year. I’ve had no complaints about the quality of their work. His cut was a little off the last time. But I contribute this to my dog’s entitled personality that someone would dare touch him. I know he pulls away and gives you a look. I have highly recommend this place to several people now that have moved into my neighborhood. I highly recommend Poodles and Pal.
