Let start by saying that I'm now 100% convinced that Pep Boys customer service & work quality is location dependent. The Tucson location is run by Juan. When I tell you that this man in 1000% legit I'm not exaggerating. Juan is honest, helpful & dependable. If you are in Tucson area & need reliable & trustworthy auto service this is the place.Congrats Juan! Thank you for being kind human.

Today, I went to Pep Boys tire shop to address low tire pressure and possible leaks since my regular shop was fully booked. Despite a quick check-in, I was taken aback by their inquiry about a tire lock, something I've never encountered elsewhere. When I mentioned this to the front desk lady, she gave me a skeptical look. I called my parents for help, but even they were surprised, as other shops never asked about a tire lock. During the call, the front desk lady's judgmental demeanor was clear, especially towards my experienced mechanic father. After resolving the issue, the service manager, Juan Solis, made a disrespectful comment, saying, “That was the most complicated thing I’ve ever heard,” as if my parents didn't know what they were talking about. It was completely inappropriate, especially right in front of me as a new client. Additionally, the front desk lady's lack of enthusiasm and constant yawning added to the unprofessional atmosphere. Feeling scrutinized, uncomfortable, and disrespected, I have no intention of returning to such a hostile environment. Pep Boys tire shop demonstrated a severe lack of professionalism and respect towards their clients, and as a result, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I had a great experience at this location the service was very friendly and timely. I also learn they do lyft inspections for a price of 19.99. I had my car inspected and they took them like 10 minutes total. I was super please with the results. The waiting area is very large and clean with a lot of parking space at the front. Highly recommended.

I traveled an hour and a half to Tucson for the gem show and my truck decided it needed help. I showed up at 4:30 pm; they close at 5pm, and they were so nice to help me. Toni is fabulous and she made me feel welcome and taken care of. I really appreciate their help. I made it home safely and they fixed the problem. 10 million stars!

I hit something on the freeway and completely destroyed a tire on my car. I was towed to Pep Boys on South 6th and they managed to make a traumatic and upsetting situation, fun. All three of the people working there were great. Juan, the manager, was professional and fast. He and his technician, Frankie, had me back on the road in about a half an hour. I dealt, mostly, with Toni, the assistant manager. She had me laughing the whole time! I LOVED her personality. She showed me all of the tires I could purchase, she told me about the pros and cons and she didn't try to upsell me. It was a very nice, low pressure, soft sell. I bought a nice, safe, middle priced tire that was great for the area that I live in. Thank you, Toni, for all your advice. I will definitely be using your services again the next time I hit the inevitable pointy detritus on the mean, and unkempt streets of Tucson.

I had UPS packages that needed to be sent off from where I work on AJO and 6th Ave. I did not realize that Pep Boys was also a drop off location for UPS. So close and easy in and out. They sent drop off receipt straight to my work email. The entry was on the right side of the work bays in the parts department so once you park take the side walk and go in.

I needed an oil change, so I decided to try this Pep Boys. I had never been there before. The staff was professional and kind, and the job was completed much more quickly than anticipated. Great service!!

Fast and friendly! The lounge was clean and they even have the remote available to channel surf while you wait. I heard Toni having honest conversations with some of the customers they checked out. Letting people know what could and couldn't wait with out pressure or being condescending. I really hope they finally got to enjoy their sammich!

Very disappointed in this location. I paid for a lifetime alignment many moons ago and made an appt. at this location. The Store Manager said her tech was busy and would not be able to get to me for some time; he had just pulled in another vehicle and I asked why my appt. time wasn't priority. I also let them know I could use a rotate and balance but nothing was done. A tech was walking around aimlessly without work and then pulled in a customer's car that arrived after mine. I asked the Manager why they didn't offer to write me up and get the rotate and balance done. She has very poor customer service skills. I went to ask her her name so I could report this incident and then she said it was her right to refuse service, refused to perform my alignment and got on the phone. At this point, I'd rather just get my money refunded and go somewhere where they actually want to work.

This place is questionable. They had my car almost for close to two hours just to say that an A/c recharge can't be done due to a unable to find leak in the system. I opened my hood and found it myself within a few minutes. Why waste people time if you don't know how to perform the task. They are not honest about part pricing neither. Won't have to worry about bringing my vehicle back to this low level establishment.Very dishonest place.

I had a unexpected flat due to having a screw in my tire. Called right before closing, they gladly repaired my tire and got me back on the road. Every other tire shop was closed but luckily they stay open later which I appreciate!

The folks were nice i called on phone checking on tires i seen on line was informed they had the tires and price was 251.00 when they brought tires out they was not same as seen on line so they produced another set of all terrain tires for 100 dollars more much better tire in which i purchased just wish they had them at a lower cost the service was great the man Frank did a awesome job and i am happy with the tires others than Toni not knowing my name assumed i was not who it said i was the service was ok

Had an appointment at 10 am for a simple oil change. Last one I had at another business took 10 minutes. At 45 minutes in, I was told I needed an air filter, too. Not a huge deal, right?Over an hour later, (11:10) I am still here when I could have been (a) doing something else or (b) gone elsewhere and been done.Now, the phone is ringing incessantly. No one will answer it and it doesn’t roll to voicemail. The manager/owner is very nice, but something is horribly wrong with their process.Addendum: when I was finally able to pay I was told that my coolant light was on. (?) I looked at him, puzzled. What I was able to discern - he and the mechanic were talking about the blue light that simply indicates the engine temperature.*They didn’t know the difference. Oof.*

Who knew that getting your oil changed could be so much fun?I enjoyed the friendly, personable staff ( the gentleman that made sure that I knew about damage to my right front fender, the lovely lady that made sure I got my coupon, and the professional and friendly young gentleman that worked on my car). After paying for an oil and filter change and tire inspection and rotation found a damaged tire was still in same place as when I brought it in. Went in again to address it and found out I have two bad tires (they said all were good) and that the coolant flush they recommended was now normal. I'm now questioning if they even changed the oil and filter and will find out elsewhere.

When you need to get work done for your vehicle it can be hard to find high quality service but here, you can trust that your car is in good hands. HIGHLY recommend!
