Most excellent place to help animals holistically & extracts, supplements, etc are human worthy as well. The staff is very knowledgible, informative & will look up specific signs & symptoms of your furbaby & even print it out for you. I have a Boxer with second attack of Valley Fever, nearly died. With the help, assistance & support of the staff & a very special intragrative vet she lived & is off the low dose antifugal prescribed that's very toxic & had some liver & lung damage from first attack & high doses of med. She is all off vet med now & acting like a puppy! So looking forward to reconnecting with the holistic store for maintenance. They deserve a 10 star rating!

Not only is everyone here friendly, but they are also incredibly caring and loving toward your dog. Stacy completely transformed my dog's life. A well-balanced holistic approach combined with conventional medicine can make a significant difference in your pet's life. They have a decent selection of food but all the comments about employee’s attitudes are unfortunately accurate. We went here hoping to get information on the best grain-free food, since they advertise their knowledgeable staff. We were the only customers in the entire store, and there was at least three employees, and not one person even greeted us or offered to help us in any way. We spent about 30 minutes in the store without being talked to once. When we checked out with our food the employee seemed annoyed that we were even there, didn’t offer a receipt, and said a total of about three words. What is the point of having and promoting knowledgeable staff if the staff isn’t willing to help in any way.

In specialty shops, I've learned to ask the sales staff how well they know their products. The clerk I spoke with was very knowledgeable about the products, which allowed me to make a more informed decision.I ask this question because specialty shops can be very expensive. However, armed with knowledge this clerk provided convinced me she knew her products well.She also provided a little reading material to take with. This was helpful because it will allow me to make future purchases without any reservations.

I really like this place...my dog Tber has been fighting valley fever for last year and has been on 2 different meds for it...whichnhas not helped someone told me about this place and what to get for his valley fever and he's been on it now for a month....will know if it will work when I take back to vet to get ckd...all the staff there is very friendly and knowledgeable!!

The shop was recommended to me, and I am pleased that I drove to the far east side to visit it. I was pleasantly greeted, and all of my questions about feeding a new puppy were thoroughly answered. Other customers were also friendly. I will return for additional food and information to help my puppy develop into a strong adult because he is receiving food that is safe and nutritious.

The holistic shop's recommended treatment got our dog's valley fever numbers down to nothing - "as low as possible". The vet said her vf test was as low as they could get it with regular meds. Regular meds had terrible side effects for our pup. So very thankful for this holistic treatment option.

This business has been helping keep my pet healthy for 10 years. No one believes he is 10 years old he is so healthy. My chocolate lab has allergies to most commercial brands. The foods they stock are affordable and do not cause allergic flare ups for my guy. Their diatomaceous earth is food grade, affordable, and keeps my family safe from the critters we don't want inside. I'd love for them to stay in business. I hope this review helps send more needy and health conscious pet customers their way.

Edit: I've raised my rating from a 3 to a 4. I went back to restock on kibble yesterday and I was reminded that even though I'm frustrated about how I was impacted by the elimination of the rewards programs that I do greatly support this business as a whole.______________________________________I love the products they stock here. I don't love the way they have instituted and eliminated 2 rewards programs for loyal customers. Both times I've gotten screwed. And both times the change happened without notice. The first time I didn't say anything. The second time I repeatedly tried to talk to employees in store about how frustrating the experience was for me. In store and online I was given a canned response of "we're trying to keep prices low". That's fine and dandy but maybe you could've given us notice instead of just eliminating a program we've been supporting right before I get to actually use my darn rewards. I mean I spent a year earning a free bag of food. A year. I still support this business because they do care about the customers overall. However I no longer go out of my way to buy anything but my dog's kibble here any longer.

I have been going to Holistic Animal Care for years. Today I went and they require masks even though there is no city or county mandate. While I understand businesses can require what they would like, for me and all of the people that want to support businesses that don’t require masks, save your dollars and go elsewhere.It is perfect timing to have to find a new food and a new place to purchase the food (hopefully local) for my dogs, as they have stopped liking the Azmira canned food (which is expensive anyway) so I was going to see what else they have.Sad to not support this local shop but thank goodness for options. It is more important to me that I support places that allow the freedom of choice to wear or not wear a mask.

I have been a faithful customer of this store for nine months and will continue to do so as long as I have pets. Discovering the Holistic Animal Care Shoppes changed my life as a pet owner as it equipped me with the confidence to treat my cat 100% naturally. The employees - particularly Stacy and Kate - are knowledgeable, patient and empathetic animal lovers, and the products are high quality and trustworthy.Desperate for a natural remedy when my elderly cat became very ill, I stumbled upon the store. It was there that I discovered their own line of herbal tinctures and homeopathic remedies, as well as high quality pet food and several books about natural pet care. After that first visit, I followed their suggestions for fasting and detoxifying Buddy, then started him on Garlic Daily Aid and Yucca Intensive — all of which helped him immensely. Today, after nine months on their products, Buddy eats a homemade diet, receives all his necessary vitamins & minerals from MegaPet Daily, takes herbs to address his specific symptoms, and is on a completely natural pest control regimen. Despite years of neglect before I adopted him, my 17 year old cat is happier and healthier than ever! I love this place!

This location no longer believes in natural health. They will not allow anyone in the store that has not succumbed to fear practices of medical experimentation. It's a shame and disgrace to pretend to be holistic when their actions prove otherwise.They do not believe in their natural products. Be warned, it's a farce.

The owner and her assistance try to sell you multiple items to profit they do not care about customer or they’re pets. This company is ran by a total inexperienced and emotional owner. Please do not get scam by these evil money hungry company. Prime example, their so call fiber has whey which is a protein that causes colon cancer. Imagine what else they have that could endanger your fur baby’s life. Please avoid this fake holistic animal pet store!!!

My cat Buddy loves Azmira cat food and it has been great for his health. He will not eat any other brands of food. Azmira Yucca Intense drops in his food has helped keep the sniffles and watery eyes away. Has no problem with the taste, I don't think he even notices. Customer service is always great and employees know what they are talking about. Adding pumpkin to Buddy's diet has been a great suggestion. Thank you. Buddy and I are loyal customers for life.

I have adopted 3 rescue pets from bad situations. A very nice young girl at this location provided me with samples galore to find a food to work out for both dogs. They love the Tuscan Carne kibble. They were also fond of the house lamb pate sold in can. They are very knowledgeable compared to going to Petsmart and having just another face to full staff guess on a good fit of product they know nothing about

Did not get a friendly vibe. Was not greeted walking in to store and no one else in store. Larger lady with hair pulled back in ponytail seemed friendly and helpful enough but other woman was not friendly at all (neitherone wearing nametags). She overcharged me for the dog food and when I pointed out the lower price onthe sign she reluctantly changed the price with no apology for the error. Also no thank you or anything and I had just purchases a $60 bag ofdog food. I willnot return.
