Avoid this store at all costs. The area around this store is dangerous, so if you go after dark, park as close to the entrance as you can and have someone go with you. People are regularly robbed here as well as their cars broken into.The store is just as horrible. Most (not all) of the staff are rude and if you are ethnic or look a certain way you will instantly be treated like you’re there to steal. They will follow you and treat you wrong. This store is stolen from A LOT every single day. The homeless have made it bad for everyone.If you go, don’t be surprised if the staff is rude to your face, even if you’re paying for your items. What a miserable place this has become. Since no one will say it, I will. This is all because of the homeless people in the area. Most of them are drug addicts and resort to stealing from this store and using their money on drugs. And the honest people are the ones paying for it. Please, don’t go here unless you are desperately needing something to keep you from dying. Yes it’s that bad. Don’t believe me? Go to this store and find out.

This grocery store is the WORST! Homeless people everywhere on the sidewalk, some wandering the store.They only had about 15 grocery carts in the store, all being used on a busy Sunday. When my husband asked the security guard where to find a cart, guard replied, "Go outside about fourty yards away you'll find 40 of them on their sides. The homeless people take them."... Like...What?I'm so disappointed to come to a regular - priced grocery store, with a fairly limited selection, only to not have a cart to use. Why this store doesn't manage their cart issue is beyond me, but I am definitely NOT coming back here for groceries again. If I'm going to pay regular prices for groceries, I'm going someplace safer and with carts for their customers to use!

just came from shopping there and had a special interaction with manager Anita. This store makes you feel like a criminal the moment you set foot inside, your cart locks up twice on the way in and on the way out regularly and you need to either get another cart or hope someone is nearby to unlock the theft mechanism. They installed a new video system at the self checkout that big brother watches every step of your hands and points it if thinks your doing something wrong. There was nothing wrong with what I did because it matched the receipt of scanned items perfectly. I said to the worked this store makes you feel like a criminal - she said you can go on another line if you want in a rude tone then continued talking with her co worker. After finished scanning and paying I went over to customer service to ask for the manager. It was the same person that came over - greeting me with no tone or no sense of apology for this situation as I told her the events that transpired.. she Rolled her eyes and said "why should I have to apologize to you" I said your a manager? have you worked in customer service? For some reasons this only happens at frys.... I proceeded to record the interaction on my phone and she said I couldn't record on private property and called security and said will call the cops on me. Not only will I post this on social media I have contacted upper management and will never shop here again. If you want to feel like criminal - shop at frys.. bad training .. that's a manager?

If you guys dont spread out your cart returns more im not returning them anymore, you have every single cart return almost in one isle. Im not trekking across this football field of a parking lot to do your job next time sorry not sorry.

I went to this Fry's and brought my Igloo backpack to put my cold items in it. I was told by the security guard that I would have to leave it with him. After explaining to him that it wasn't an ordinary backpack, he reluctantly allowed me to bring it with me. As I walked away, I heard the security guard and the store manager say that ppl who bring in backpacks steal.

Seriously no worse hell in America than Kroger. Grocers steal food from pick up orders, pharmacy so understaffed the only bodies they can get behind the register are hopped up on pills skimming your narcotics 12 hours after a surgery so you can't even get an ounce of relief. Thieves everywhere but security does nothing, and management heaps shrink onto the honest customers via inflation. Panhandlers will bother you in and out of the store. Chollos blasting in the parking lot with their glowing rims, fentanyl zombies leaning over, prozzies; screw this place. Hope God sees fit to close it down one way or another. Modern Sodom and Gomorrah.

I went to this Fry’s to by beef soup bones and meat with bones in order to make an Escoffier style beef stock. They only had two packages of beef bones in the display case. So I went to the butcher counter hoping they had more in the back. I was met by a man who had a somewhat strange affect but I explained what I was looking for and asked if they had more. He led me into the frozen section and pointed to a package of LITERAL dog food. Yes they were bones, but had a picture of a labrador on the package. I pointed out that he was trying to sell me dog bones. He only shrugged and said the were the same thing. The packaging said (in bold script) “Not for human consumption”.As I was leaving the store (11/17/23 mid afternoon) I spoke to a female manager. I explained what had happened. She did not seem concerned that their butcher was trying to sell 4D meats, meant for animals, to their human customers. Even after I pointed out that in his position he should’ve had a better grasp of food safety concerns. And he should not be recommending pet products be consumed by humans.I have no confidence that she addressed this issue. Further I am VERY concerned about what they purchase and package in the butcher section of this Fry’s. Please be very careful if shopping at this store!

Well it's time to get real no more holding back. So just got home from Fry's 22nd and Alvernon used to be a great store not So Much Anymore. Prices are outrageous still come on guys the financial crisis in covid is over. First of all I had to bag most of my own groceries and I told the young lady behind the register I said I want all my groceries double bagged especially these heavy sharp cornered bone broth containers and what did they do they put the heavy stuff in one bag. Went up to this to the deli asked for six chicken tenders and the poor lady God bless her soul just couldn't figure it out and then she puts them in a plastic ziplock bag but we all know what heat and moisture does to fried foods so I said if you're going to use that leave it open she couldn't figure that out and started looking for something else and then she brought out that big black plastic tray for an eight piece chicken I said I don't want that don't you have a vented bag nope we don't so it was 20 minutes of the deli counter cuz she couldn't figure out where to put six chicken tenders. Then I get up to check out and for some odd reason I pull out my Safeway savings card and they scan it and it works. Not my fries saving card my Safeway savings card. I asked cashier why did that work it is probably because we're merging so I've had enough now it's going to be Safeway Albertsons all owned by Kroger and fries and that's fine that's great but screw them we need WinCo Foods down here look them up you'll understand why.

This is absolutely the number one Frys in town! The staff is great! Always pleasant and helpful! The staff actually appear to enjoy their jobs. Never a bad experience here. Must be managed well. (Certainly can't say the same about Swan and Grant Frys though.)

Kroger basically sucks and rips off those that don't have the app or a card. Record profits from high prices then they con you into thinking your are getting a deal.I would like more organic produce and definitely lower prices on basics (they keep raising them) and for them to have items in stock as it is often out of basic items like Crystal Geyser Spring Water, eggs, yogurt

First I like this Fry’s everyone is so respectful an kind but today I had the most bad experience in my life with one the cashiers her name was Diana she was so races and des- respectful I was receiving my money and she told me she has no money for me and I went to other fry’s location on 22nd and kolb and I’ve received my money from them with Fiona was so respectful so helpful kind and had no issues receiving my money at all I hope all cashiers were like her.

I’m doing inventory here and it is a beautiful store. We have one in Glendale and the floors are always dirty and the shelves aren’t looked after during the day. They go behind us and fix what needs to be situated and I like that a lot. It shows care and discipline.

Went for a few things on 8/27. Fry's has a few things that I can't find at other stores. Fry's has gotten a little pricey on some items. I like the quality of their meat section.Went to self check out, the staff member in that section was snotty when I didn't need help but the register said I did to make sure I checked my items before bagging. 🙄 she was making faces at me like my kids did when they were small! I complained about her unprofessional attitude. Maybe she needed a break, maybe she needed lunch, had a bad morning. Who really knows but really uncalled for.

Actually very disappointed in this Fry's on 22nd. The fruits and veggies looked horrible. Usually they are much much better. And absolutely no one was around to help with anything.Usually this location is better than the one on Grant. But now both are sub par.

Why do your cashiers wait to bag everything after they rang it up? It seems inefficient when you could just be putting the things in the bag as you scan them. common sense is lost

I've had many different experiences at this store and I must say, WOWWW!!! Might not be the prettiest location but by far has some of the best employees! The manager in the morning is amazing (I am mad at myself for not getting her name)! I had an issue where my change was left in the self checkout machine and I had came back for it and it wasn't there, so she went above and beyond to give me my $5 change back! She had to investigate the cameras, etc. Really outstanding and amazing especially for its location. Much love and salute!!! Blessings.

I have lived within walking distance of this store since 2008. I used to stop in on my way to and from work, but no longer. How dare you tell me that I have to leave my backpack with a laptop at the front door in order to spend money at your store. Good thing there is an Albertsons and a Safeway on my way to work cause I'm taking my business there from now on. At least you could provide lockers.

Went to the bakery and asked the worker to write two names on the cake. I was unaware the bakery has closed because the worker was still behind the counter. I didn't see a sign if I had I wouldn't have asked. It's a great store with great staff besides this.

I stop at this store almost every time I pass by because they always have something delicious to the taste, a thirst quencher, or beautiful flowers to see that perk up my day in the floral department. Staff is always helpful, and even the manager jumps in to help a customer needing assistance (or someone looking lost). It's not the newest store, but it's very clean, well-organized, and has only the best produce and meats (often at lower prices than I expected to pay). The meat department will grind a roast for burgers or portion off and individually wrap a larger piece of meat if they are asked, and they do it with a smile and sincere willingness to assist. The staff appear to care that their customers are treated well, and I have never been disappointed.

I went into the bathroom before I was gonna go grocery shopping and these bias profiling motherf****r$ came in there told me to leave while I was peeing twice than as I walked out a miserable, largee white lady w brown hair , told me get out just get out w some other workers. Funny thing is the only other time I've been in there i spent over $200. Treatment like this is unacceptable ¬ okay &I'm sick of it I have $ and bc they don't like the way I look I continue to get ostracized from everyday shopping.

We went yesterday to Fry's on 22nd and they only have 2 registers open and 3 self checkouts out of the 12 they have. The lines were long. At the self checkouts we were like 20 people on line. They got the self checkouts so they dont hire cashiers and is getting worst. I like this store because we never have problems like this. The problem that i always see you can't never see any of the managers on the sales floor. Going to the holidays they need to make a better schedules and more sense of urgency.
