They close the doors before they are supposed to. It says everywhere online they close at 11:00 pmAnd they closed the doors early. We even asked to speak to the manager the manager said it is their rules from higher up. I just needed to get my babies 2 gallons of milk. I always shop here. I can give you my number so you can check my rewards. I stop by here 3 times a week on average. I never will again. Manager says they close 5 minutes before I walked up to the door it was 10:54 the lady said it was 10:57 I showed her my phone. She still didn’t let me in. This is not okay if you close at make it show online that you do so.

The Fry’s on Valencia is NOT following the store hours posted on the doors and on line. The closing time clearly states 11pm and I was not allowed in at 10:54pm because they wanted to close early and told me I had to arrive 10 minutes before 11pm. I was very upset and stated that I was only grabbing milk for my kids and they still did not allow my entry. This is not to be tolerated and needs corrected action. I even spoke to the manager and he stated that upper management has gave him permission to close 10 minutes early. Better Business Bureau needs to make sure they get fined and make sure they close the hours posted for service.

Don’t try calling the pharmacy because they pickup and immediately place you on hold SEVERAL times without any regard to let you know that they are “busy”. It’s highly rude. Just imagine hearing the background noise at the store then immediately the hold music, follow by ringing and the cycle repeats. Being busy is not an excuse for being rude, plus thanks for NO apology. I appreciate the manners… hah!

Can you please teach the people that you call butchers in your meat department how to properly use the absorbent pads they put into your meat? They're constantly putting them upside down which causes the fabric side to stick to the meat. Is there a training process for these guys or do you just throw anyone back into the meat dept??? It's extremely frustrating when I go to remove the absorbent pad and the fibers stick to my steaks...

So I live in Midtown... I'm used to the Fry's at Grant x Swan, for example.Dude, this is one of the nicest Fry's I've ever set foot in. I will definitely be back.Just, like, wow

I’ve been to a few Fry’s Food Stores over the years, and I have to say this one has the friendliest staff by far. Overall, the place seems to be well run. Kudos to the team and supporting management.

Just went through checkout and they messed up on multiple items. They could not fix it there so now I have been waiting in customer service line for 20 minutes to fix their mistake. I can't imagine how many people get ripped off by not checking the receipts from this place! Had I not caught there mistake, it would have cost me over $25. Also, selling these steaks as T-Bones is fraud! They are overpriced bone in New York strip. Zero tenderloin. Shame on Fry's!! Kroger sucks

I bought some of the lunch meat that the deli prepackages for you. I got home to open it and as I pulled apart the bag I could clearly see a second price and date label under the first for an earlier sell by They literally re tagged the meat with a later sell by date! Crazy. I will never trust any thing made in this store again. When I returned and told the customer service person why she clearly could have cared less and didn’t seem to think it was an issue.

Do not shop here before noon on any day. The checkout lines are ridiculous! 1/2 the self-checkouts are closed, and only one or two checkers. Not worth the time and savings.

Stays well stocked. The produce has improved so much. Many checkout options are available with cashiers and self checkout. Lines usually not often but move quickly when they happen. Most employees I have encountered have been pleasant. Starbucks is located inside, always a decent assortment of cakes in the bakery.

Nice clean store with a great selection of beer. Today, 3/12/2020, I talked to several employees, as some of the shelves were looking more empty than I expected. All agreed it was much, much busier than a typical Thursday. Lots of people were buying large amounts of bottled water. One person I talked to shared that people are acting "like it's the end of the world".

If you're in the area, stop by and grab a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Jordan in the floral dept.Every time i see him, hes working his butt off to make sure things are in tip top shape for the store. I keep saying, he needs to get paid commission or SOMETHING for everything he does for this store honestly.Goes above and beyond to make sure each customer is satisfied and leaving with a smile.[That's exceptional customer service going unrecognized right there.]

This is one of my favorite Fry's in Tucson because of the size and selection of products. We usually enjoy going here because the employees don't seem to be unhappy at work and are willing to be of assistance when needed. However yesterday, we got to the store at around 8:40 am and went to the food court. It was filthy. Every single table and chair was dirty. Not to mention the popcorn and other detritus all over the floor. I went to the customer service desk and informed the young woman there of this, and she looked at me like "OK, Karen." When we left at 11:45 nothing had been cleaned yet. Plus, there had been a staff meeting right there in said food court with the store manager present. I used to work in stores. We used to have to have the places spotless upon closing. This mess must have been left from the previous day and never cleaned when the store closed. I can just imagine this situation where I used to work, heads would've rolled. Ok, that's it from the Boomer Report, now back to your regular Idiocracy.

I am a regular customer at Fry's Food. That's the grocery store I would visit ever since I was a child. The regular store I visit these days Is store#83, located at 1795 W. Valencia Rd. Tucson, AZ. Due to how understaffed this location is, we usually chose to go through self-checkout be less a burden to the store & staff.The clerk that was on shift tonight (04/01/2023; @ 8PM), covering the self-checkout area was rather rude, asking if we had scanned items that we had clearly scanned while she was looking right at us. This not only embarrassed myself & family it held up the progress of the line. The clerk went on to get in front of me to check the computer to see if some items in fact were scanned. Once the clerk confirmed the items were scanned, she did not offer any type of apology. The clerks actions clearly insinuated we must have been stealing on our grocery bill. At the end of the transaction, our total bill was well over 100 dollars prior to entering our phone number we use for VIP points (520) ***-****. If Kroger/Frys Food were to check the amount of money we spend at Fry's as regular customers, I'm sure an apology would be forthcoming then. I understand the store may have an inventory/theft problem at this location, however singling us out as the clerk did tonight was wrong, and even further wrong to not offer an apology once the scanned product was confirmed to be accurate.

We used to shop at this store regularly. Now they have gone from mediocre to terrible. They raised prices far above other stores in the area with a decrease in quality. Fry’s/Kroger corporate is a rip-off organization. I got the Fry’s app and tried to use some deals in the store. Low and behold when you download the app they give you a new number that’s different from the number on your fry’s card. The only way to use the app discounts is to spend hours on the phone with customer service to TRY to get the numbers combined. I deleted the app and will never shop at a Fry or Kroger again. They cheat!!! We were also double charged at checkout for an item that was listed as 2 for 1 on the shelf. I read a lot of bad reviews here and have never seen any acknowledgment by management. They just don’t care.

They have a wide selection of products and decent prices in comparison to other stores. Love that they have sushi (limited types, too many with mayo sauce for my taste) fresh produce, a good deli and meat counter as well as general household and pet care items

There's no middle ground at this place. It's either a great experience or it's dreadful. The lines are long, I've never encountered such crummy checkout machines at any other grocery store in Tucson. I will try to avoid this Frys as much as possible in the future.

This is the most efficient online pickup Fry's I've encountered. Been there 3 times now and have never had a sub or missing item. Luis is personable and a great employee!

Huge store and marvelous produce; however, no sliced mozzarella cheese unless you wanted an artesian brand. Wonderful selection of prepared foods and lovely baked products.

Always come here and have always had a pleasant time. On sat Dec 17 around 315pm I went in with my wife for our regular shopping. we had a question and began to ask John from the meat department a quick question. Immediately he responded by saying he didn't know anything, before even hearing our question. He was Extremely rude and walked away while we were speaking to him. Who in customer service does that? We were helped by someone else that actually cared to be helpful.

Clean store, very organized but it is HUGE...TOO BIG. I almost wanted to call an Uber to drive me to the other side of the store to get my prescriptions at the pharmacy.

I didn't make my mother dinner on Mother's day because she went out to eat. But today I went to the fresh seafood counter at frys and bought these two lobster tails and guess what? One of them is literally green with rot.
