My grandson and I setup a 10 gallon nano reef aquarium and the folks at this store have been very helpful. Although I have years of experience with FOWLR systems, this was my first nano reef. We have received awesome guidance and the tank is thriving. Thanks for taking the time to advise. We even got the light schedule working based on their expertise and time spent walking us through the app. Thank you

I suggest buying what you need online before going here. The owner is horrible in my opinion. I had to take him to court and win after buying an aquarium here. Now I'm sure I'll have to fight to get him to pay the money he owes. I'm not going to waste a second more arguing with him. But let me make it clear that the credit card company saw it as complex to immediately return the money, hence the court. The court couldn't force fishy business to take back the product which is true with every business and product. They lost because of dishonesty and should be embarrassed. Huge thanks to the guys at shark reef for all their help!

We like the store a lot - enough to drive 40 minutes to it and take off early on a Friday afternoon to visit. Unfortunately when we got there, the doors were locked and there was no explanation as to why. Nothing on their site, no notice on their door, and nothing on their answering service. If you're not going to be open your hours as advertised, it would be good to post something either online on your Facebook page or at the very least, have a sign on the door. We're not going to drive down if we can't be confident they're open when they're supposed to be.

These guys helped me set up my Red Sea 250 aquarium. I love their work and their consistent knowledge. The guys here are super nice, Fritz and Aiden aim to please and have a handful of knowledge. Mike the owner is genuine and takes pride in his business. This isn’t a run of the mill shop.

I wish I could rate them 0 stars. I placed an order over two weeks ago and never heard from them again. I have called numerous times only to be told the owner is the one that handles online orders and they'd have him call me back. Needless to say after trying 4 times, I've never received said call back. Good thing I paid with a credit card and now I have filed a dispute. I would stay away from this scam of a business if I were you.

I would give zero stars if I could.Would not recommend! They said they could help us move and set up 2 fish tanks. Told us they would call us back on exact date. They were informed we had a time constraint and needed tanks moved by a specific date. After about a week of not hearing back I tried reaching out to try and get that date. I called their shop and the gentleman that I talked to informed me I would hear back from those who do that service soon. 2 days later of texting and another call to the shop and we FINALLY hear back. They then proceed to tell us they CANT commit to what we needed- after stating they COULD. So I just wasted over a week of my time. Also putting a bind on us giving us less than a week to try and find help to get the job done. VERY unprofessional. Stay away from this shop unless you want to be dragged on with no reguards of common courtesy or professionalism and no communication.

I love this place and there are no other stores like it around. The staff: Mike, Fritz, and Justin are all extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and caring. They make you feel like family there every time. The selection of coral is unbelievable! They have top notch quality coral and fish. It's a store you just have to visit at least once because the coral are so beautiful to look at.

So this review is from the last 8 years of shopping with fishy business. Great place for this hobby and the place you can go to for healthy fish and a great selection of corals too! I have put together 3 tanks from this store and I'd get more if could.

Fantastic store! The team clearly cares about the animals they keep, are knowledgeable and are always friendly. Good prices on fish and they get some pretty cool stuff in. My favorite place for corals in town and frequently see high quality specimens come through. Definitely worth checking out if you have been in the hobby a while or are just starting out.

Horrible experience!I paid 4,000 dollars on a Citi Credit card for a Salt water tank set up complete with stand which had to be built to height specification etc. Fritz advised the fellow who would be building the stand was on vacation however would be receiving a phone call to schedule a time for him to come out to the house to measure etc. I received no such phone call from anyone . I reached out to Citi credit cards and filed a dispute. Provisional credit was given to me until the owner responded to Citi that the Order was for a custom fishtank and that they already began work on it. The truth of the matter however is that no work could have been started on the custom fishtank stand because the fellow never came out to the house to measure!I stopped into the store prior to filing the dispute and stated no one had called to set up a measure. Spoke with Josh and was told that the owner and or Fritz are not in. At times they will drive out to California and pick up fish tanks that are slightly scarred in some way. They then take them to a place that rebuilds them and are then sold as new tanks. After learning this I asked to switch the purchase from the refurbished tank to a new tank. To note, the tank Fritz wanted to sell me (stating it was new and was just driven back from California) did not have a Box around it.I did not like the fact that this Business sold me a refurbished tank which by the way had not yet been delivered.I called Citi Credit cards to place a dispute. At some point I was able to talk with Michael the owner who stated that he usually does not refund custom orders but will refund the purchase of the salt water tank set up. The provisional 4000 dollars was lifted from my account and credited back to Fishy Business. Even though Michael stated numerous times that he would refund the money, he now states he does not know how to process the refund and also that he is not even certain that the 4,000 dollars is in his account!. Citi confirmed the money was sent to him on 10/20/22!The store will not answer my phone calls anymore. I was so upset the 1st few times I spoke with the Associates in an attempt to get a call back from the owner. Finally I received a call back from Michael. He stated he did not want any part of this and will refund my purchase however to this day has not refunded the 4,000 some odd dollars. He also stated to the Citi credit card rep that he would refund my purchase price, just wasn't certain how to process the refund. We where on a 3 way call to Citi who explained the steps to him.My phone calls now go unanswered and I just basically gave him 4000 dollars??? This is not good Business practice and unacceptable.

Exactly what you want to see in a local fish store:The tanks are clean and well kept, the fish are active and healthy, and the staff is very knowledgeable and obviously passionate about the hobby.They do specialize in salt water...so their freshwater selection is a bit limited...but don't let that dissuade you! They still have a small selection of healthy, beautiful freshwater fish. And as a freshwater keeper myself, I honestly just enjoy going in and seeing all the colorful salt water fish.If you stop in, ask to see Vladimir. I'm not sure what kind of fish he is, but he's HUGE and super friendly and cute.

This is one of my favorite stores! I can spend hours checking out the tanks.I can’t believe some of the negative reviews! The employees are the nicest people and will answer all your questions once they are done helping the customer they are with that is. I was able to set up my tank with their help, i purchased live rock, and even fish. The man in the beard who some people bashed even let me take some rock he had for Free! after stopping by again today. If you are in the area stop by! But i will warn you that you will want to set up a tank once you leave.

It's a fantastic environment, with friendly, knowledgable staff. You can walk around and browse the store, and they take note on when you walked in. As they finish up with each customer, they'll approach you to assist, and you have their undivided attention for whatever you need. Their fish are well-maintained, and the store is clean. You'll enjoy watching the fish in the multiple tanks and environments they have.

Not good online experience I had so far with them. I ordered a product on their website. it has been three weeks and I don’t even know if it was shipped or not. My emails were largely ignored. One email reply stated they will check on my order, then went silent again. They don’t communicate with customers! I may have to file a dispute with my credit card company.Update:I guess there were some mishaps with shipping. Mike from their online team finally emailed me with the update and resent my order. I finally received it! It took longer than I expected but at least I got it. So I updated this review.

Stopped by today, Labor Day, to see their saltwater fish and sea life selection. Amazing that the store is still surviving in spite of the pandemic! But I can see why: amazing selection of healthy fish and marine life. Decent to good prices. Only downside, I was told they don't guarantee their used aquariums for leaks... so we are probably going to buy a new one from Amazon instead. 😔

I go back and forth on this place. It has an amazing display of fish and coral, prices are in line with most other places locally (after you ask because virtually nothing is marked with a price). There are a couple of super friendly and really helpful employees, but there is also another employee that seems like you are bothering him whenever you ask for assistance. This could be chalked up to a bad day, but I have had this same experience 3 times now to the point where I only go in there if my other local option are out of what I am looking for. Its a shame as this is the only reef store near the east side.

This was once my go to LFS years ago. They had an amazing selection of rare stuff you couldn't find anywhere else at great prices. Fast forward to today. Terrible selection and high prices. Live rock is full of pests. I feel sorry for anyone putting that in there system they will now have aptasia and majanos. Todays vist was depressing.

As one of the previous reviews stated, don’t order from here. This is scam site there is no real online store. You can call the store and they’ll say the owner runs the online store from a separate location. This is scam site you will receive nothing. Please everyone report this business to BBB. They stole over four hundred dollars from me.

Fishy Bizness is excellent. They came out with the fierce objective of being the best salt water fish store in Tucson. They have met those standards and its safe to say that no other shop can compete with them. Quality is outstanding, customer service is fantastic and the merchandise is excellent! Really nice place. Went there when they first opened not expecting too much after how the other stores around here have turned out. To my surprise they have a good variety of fish and coral. Whats better than that is that they are very reasonably priced, Its about time Tucson gets a store that is priced how it should be and helps you before trying to close the deal.I like what they are doing with the fish that come in to make sure we as the consumer are buying a healthy fish and also like the look they are going for within the tanks. I will be returning here again, probably more than i should.

I went to Fishy Bizness today Sat, Sep 26th 2020 to ask about finding a job at there establishment and was surprised by how welcoming and kind they all were. Being around for just seven years they've accomplished so much and really have an establishment to be proud of. The staff and manager were very friendly and open to answer any questions. I highly recommend going to there store to start your journey into saltwater aquariums. Keep up the great work!-Ryleigh

Finally the waiting time for this place to open is finally over and I have to say that I am totally satisfied with the final result. The store looks amazing, staff is super friendly and know their stuff. They have more stuff then I imagine they would. Fish and coral tanks are super cool, the quarantine area is huge with lots of marine life waiting to make the next step for display tanks. Not to forget the show tank, I can't help stare at it every time I go in there for my Fishy needs. They also offer Real ocean water, which is amazing, huge difference in my tank since I started using it, everyone is super happy. I suggest every salt water fanatic to come check it out, you won't be disappointed... ;-)
