The people that work at this Family Dollar are very nice, helpful, and giving. I witnessed tonight that there's kindness still left in this world. A cashier helped out a customer in paying what he was purchasing because he was short. Not only the guy at the register but also another customer helped this individual. The world needs more people like them. Great job, Family Dollar on 6th Ave and Veterans, and other customer who helped the individual get everything on his list.

This location looks to be closed indefinitely, maybe even permanently. As you can see from the photos there are two signs on the window made out of cardboard and poster board nonetheless. Stating that they had a close early. However for my judgment it seems like closing early happened several days if not weeks ago. The water machine and the cooler for ice are unplugged not functioning and the cords have been removed. The cooler was unlocked so I open the door out of curiosity again the picture will show there are several bags of empty melted ice. You can plainly see that the store has been closed for quite some time. Disappointing since there's no indication of that on the website or the app which I checked to clip coupons on right before arriving at the store. Family Dollar can do better than this. It may be a dollar store but we do expect more.

10 people in line one of the two staff doing restock behind the counter not even thinking about opening their register. Completely blind to the fact that there's 10 people in line and counting and nothing that is in the clearance aisle has it's price marked. So every person wants a price check on an item or 3. Still only one trainee working a register slowly.

WENT TO SHOP YESTERDAY AND THE STORE WAS A MESS PRODUCT EVERYWHERE. WHERE IS Miss Becky and Mr. James . The store is so nice when they are there. They go beyond to help you especially Miss Becky.

This store is very wholesome, first off the people here are great. always put a smile on our face whenever we come. they have very good selection of products. good candy, VERY GOOD LAYOUT, the recently switched their layout and when i got used to it i did notice it actually is easier to find things. (i usually dont like when my favorite stores move things, but they did a good job) they have really good clothes section, some of the coolest clothes i ever got was from this store not gonna lie. me and my girlfriend love coming here, weve literally been here 1000's of times and never had nothing short of a wonderful experience, Thank You all so much. Cant wait to come visit again when im on that side of town. for haloween we made wonderful cake, chocalate and recess 100% of the ingredients we obtained here was awesome. for thanksgiving we obtained alot of stuff here, they have everything here for good prices. thankyou all, love this location it is by far my favorite family dollar in the entire city

Was trying to return cat food that was no good even the cats wouldn't eat it and they wouldn't even exchange it for us even though they knew it was from there store and who sold it to us just yesterday they had 3 employees yelling at my wife about how it's not there fault and it's open so they won't do it had her coming home crying this the absolute worst customer service ever and I wish I had some one to talk too about this situation bc it's ridiculous never coming here again !!!!

Google needs to update the pics of this store lol. This store is messy. Many of the items are just thrown in a spot with a random price tag that doesn’t match the item so I had to pull out the family dollar app. To make matters worse the register was ringing up different prices then what “their” app had the item/price listed for. (Mind you, the picture of the item you scan pops up) So the cashier had to call the manager up front. Instead of the price getting honored I was told by the manager, “ oh, well, that’s not the price the register has the app has nothing to do with the store.”

On Thursday April, 26 at 11:20am I when to the family dollar on 6th and veterans. When I went to pay the cashier I noticed he was in a bad mood because of how he treated this old man in front of me. When he was bagging he rudely through my things it in the bag and Instead of giving the change directly in my hand he kind of just tosses it at the counter in a rude way. I called to try and report this but turns out he was the manager. I highly recommend people not to go to this one because of how the manager treats their customers.

So tonight (January 9th, 2019) my husband and I went to the Family Dollar here on 6th & Veterans at 930pm.. 30mins before closing which is 10pm Mon-Sun and the doors were locked... female employee was up front on her phone texting my husband and I said the doors locked what your closed and she shook her head yes... store is closed 30mins before closing and who knows how long before that... So we drove down to the Family Dollar on 6th and 36th arriving @950pm 2 male employee's both cleaning before closing came up to us and let us my husband and I know they will be closing in 10mins we said yes we know thank you we just needed about 3 items and we left, very good customer service at 36th & 6th the location just down the street from Veterans & 6th who were open until the correct closing hours unlike 6th & Veterans. I plan on calling and complaining as well. There are store hours for a reason.. employee don't like it don't work the hours!

It is similar to the others dollars stores. You can find some party supplies, candies, school supplies, but you also can find shoes, shorts panty and some home storage supplies... I was looking for gommies in individual packages and I found them for $2.00 dollars a box of 10 little packages...you should visit just to investigate a little more!!!

They got one star only because it's not possible to give 0 stars and write a review. The customer service here is the worst, they don't honor their sales as posted. When I spoke to a manager asking her to give me the sale price for a posted item that clearly fell within the parameters of the sale she refused to do so. I left a $50 purchase at the register and walked out without paying because of this, and I will not be back
