I'm so happy we got a quality shop on the north west side. I love this place. They care deeply for the animals in their care. They also care deeply about our pets and that means so much to me. They enjoy helping people (even if they didn't get a animal from them) they want that animal well cared for. I've gotten a few animals and all are so healthy. Go visit them! Classic exotics pet store. This place has a strong sense of community. Size of store is a little underwhelming but the experience and ease of shopping is well worth it.Staff occasionally cusses if you care; but I really really don't, because you know they're not hiding anything or lying to you. They're 100% real.Run extremely well, very generous staff.I hear often people will make a long trip to come to this specific exotics store rather than going to a closer one.If you own Reptiles or another exotic animal, definitely come here to see if they have what you need before shopping online.

I actually found these wonderful folks at the reptile show. They were beyond courteous, even in the sweaty mess of an overcrowded 90° convention. They were kind and accommodating. I got one of my favorite spiders from them. I do not live near their store, but I will be making the trip. They have proven to be well worth it.

Cold Blooded is a good reptile store, and the staff are knowledgeable about the reptiles they sell. However, you can’t say as much for the other animals in their care. They regularly advertise different breeds of inhumanely-bred puppies in their stores (and sometimes even bring those puppies in — why would any smart owner buy a French bulldog in a back corner of a reptile-focused store?) and have lately been selling rabbits that are crammed in large groups in tiny, dark metal bins with no toys, enrichment, or even hay. I cannot trust a store that so readily treats any species of animal as such, and thus cannot leave a good review for them. Please consider buying elsewhere until this store makes better choices for the animals that rely on them to survive.

Service is always amazing and personalized. Knowledgeable, clean, amazing variety of products and animals. There is always something new going on. And if you have a variety of snake sizes they are amazing on letting you help pick the meal size even if you're unsure and it takes a few selections to get it right! Best prices and owner in town! I was looking for tortoise supplies and came accross Cold Blooded Exotics. Called them and spoke to Jacob who was super knowledgeable and friendly. I was able to purchse everything needed for our new little tortoise! Jacob even replaced a bulb for me when I accidentally burnt it out!! Awesome, clean, friendly family environment! Such a neat store I went in today and was looking for jumping spiders, they have everything I could think of in there! I so enjoyed the cute bunnies and the chameleons looked crazy cool! This is a small, up and coming business tucked away under the clock tower on the northwest corner of Ina and Thorneydale. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable and the prices are great. I’m so glad to have a place on this side of town where I can get food for my reptiles. Keep up the great work.

I didn't even buy anything, but I felt the need to comment on my experience here today. They genuinely wanted my snake to be well, and outright told me anything they sold me would be superfluous and to just give it a natural habitat. I didn't take up much of their time, but they still thoroughly answered every question I had without a single purchase. Will definitely be returning with any further needs!

I come here to check out the wonderful reptiles they have to offer (plus I love admiring their anacondas when they have them on display 💚.) Their enclosures are very clean, and I never smelled anything bad or off in there. I'll buy little treats and feeders for my skink from them too... they're very knowledgeable, and they do their best to offer captive bred animals, which is a bonus for me since captive bred are typically much better to have than wild caught (much healthier than wc animals.) 🙂They even have a boarding service and have boarded my bluey multiple occasions. 🤘

I purchased an African sulcata tortoise, it wasn't eating so I took it to a vet after 5 days and was told it had parasites, there animals are parasitic and employes are rude. .

These guys are very knowledgeable and professional. My boyfriend and I have purchased all of our babies from Cold Blooded and every one of them is thriving. Unlike their “competitors” they actually have a genuine care for these animals. The chameleons are definitely a difficult animal to keep happy and these guys really thrive in their care. 10/5 stars!!!! Keep it up guys!

My girls and I love this shop! We’ve been patrons since they first opened and have purchased animals, accessories, and other necessities for our reptiles. We have only positive things to say. We love how they let us hold and handle the reptiles and they’re always educating us. Every time we’re there I leave with some new tidbit of information.We had Cold Blooded Exotics also come to two of my daughters birthday party! IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! I seriously could not have asked for a better party experience. Jacob came and brought I think 10 different animals. He was super education and wonderful with all the kids. Even the parents had a blast holding and learning about so many wild animals. The 11ft anaconda was definitely a wild feature to have at a kids party and in my living room! We loved every second of it.Incredible establishment and we continue to return and tell all our friends and family about the shop. Jimmy and Jacob are amazing!

This place is AMAZING! The owner is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. My daughter bought a crested gecko (Mr. Ray ❤️ ) and was having trouble getting him to eat. We reached out and he was very helpful in suggestions and even allowed us to bring in his enclosure to check it out and make sure the set up was appropriate. He helped reassure and alleviate all the stress my daughter had worrying about her new lil guy. Great news is he is eating and doing well. She looks forward to purchasing from him again.
