Great results, Great People, Lackluster ProductsWe have a small pup who's always anxious about trying new things, and while this experience was no different, it certainly helped bring her a bit more out of her shell. Walking in, the store and bathing areas were clean, and as first-time costumers, we had to fill out a small amount of paperwork before being led to the DIY station. Although we were a walk-in, it would be best if you call ahead to ensure you have a spot, as we were lucky to squeeze into an available slot. We used the "Basic Package" (Or what comes at the advertised price), which just included diluted shampoo and conditioner, with the rest of the available items (Blow-dryer, bath, towels, etc.) in the bath area. The limited interaction with the staff only proved a relaxed, cordial, and informative environment! However, on closer inspection of the products, a problem appeared, and our expectations sank. Hair coated everything: on the tops of bottles, the scrub brushes, and so on. The tub itself was clean, but something to keep in mind if you have allergies, especially to pet dander. As the bath went on, however, we ran into our second problem: temperature. While the water started off as warm, but only a few minutes in, it decreased to room temperature, no matter how high you turned the knob. It was not only the water but the air dyer that also seemed to avoid anything hotter than room temperature. Our last issue was the tub itself. Having a small dog means leaning over the edge of the tub just to reach, which comes at quite the cost of your back.Our adventure wasn’t just problems; our pup fetched a great look! With clean, silky fur, we were surprised just how soft she really could be. Her look wasn’t the only thing to benefit either. The fragrance of the soap was strong enough to stay, yet not overpowering, a great compromise that left both our pup and us with a smile!In all, our experience was good for the price (around $15). However, we will be experimenting with a few more businesses in town before we return, but it is not out of our options yet.Before (Left) After (Right)

Bark Avenue is an excellent place for your dog. My dog Bradley was nervous to be at a groomer and Cindy the owner, her daughter Kelly, his groomer Jennifer and Madison have gone over and above to make both of us feel comfortable. Bradley is always treated with compassion and care. He loves these ladies and he always looks like he stepped off a magazine cover. We both recommend Bark Avenue!!!

Great staff great service at a very reasonable rate. I have 2 very timid rescues and the staff were so understanding and did an awesome job handling them. They are 4 yrs old and have not had a proper nail trim until they came here. Great job. Not to mention they smelled so clean and felt so soft! Highly recommend Bark Avenue.

Used the self service pet wash. $40 for two dogs which isn’t terrible. Their house shampoos smell like someone’s old aunt petunia, which is an awful smell on a dog. And it’s so watered down it’s basically water with fragrance. It literally does not lather. Same with the conditioner. There’s also not a dry place for your dog to stand while you use the blow dryer. They either have to stand in the wet tub or on the floor while you crouch down. 3/5 stars for the price and overall cleanliness. 1/5 stars for the shampoo and dryer situation.

I’ve gone here twice, once with each of my dogs (35lbs and 18lbs), good experiences both times.The reviews about the house shampoo and conditioner are mostly correct. Very watered down however it does lather when you use enough, also you can always bring your own product or choose a different shampoo, so no big deal. While the shampoo doesn’t smell that great the condition is lovely and that’s what you smell when you’re done.I appreciate getting to hold my smaller dog when he got his nails done since I know he can be difficult when I’ve taken him to petsmart.It is a little sad that you have to dry them either in the wet tub or on the floor however you can also dry out the tub before drying your dog.The price is GREAT 40$+ cheaper than a bath and nail service at petsmart combined for my two dogs. Definitely planning on coming back and probably not using petsmart anymore.Only downside is that I have to take the dogs separately only because it would be overwhelming to have them both there at the same time. But that’s a me thing.100% recommend.

I used their professional grooming services, not their self-grooming.The groomer was Natalie. She was excellent. She was clearly confident and competent. She listened to me as I explained important info about my dogs, and clearly understood what the various dogs needed based on their breeds and age (senior Husky and a neurotic shepherd mix).I had been going to a different groomer in a different part of town in Tucson for 2 years. I explained to Natalie why I was dissatisfied with the previous groomer. After the last few appointments had not produced sufficiently dry and de-shed dogs (despite me explaining to that previous groomer what I wanted), I found Bark Avenue via online reviews.Natalie listened, promised to fix the things the previous groomer wasn’t doing, and then produced. My two dogs came back hours later clean, dry, and not shedding. It was an amazing job!And, comparatively, the price was good too.

This place is great! This is my first time using a Do It Yourself dog wash. I've been grooming my Australian shepherd her whole life, and on occasion when I have extra cash I would take her to the groomer. Well things keep more expensive with inflation and I was quoted $100 at the groomer 💀 She is a very hairy dog that requires brushing once a week and a bath every two weeks. There is no way I can afford hundreds of dollars a month just for dog grooming, especially when I own all of the tools I need already. Usually I bathe her outside but it being November it's too chilly to do that now. I called this place to make an appointment and they got me in 1 hour later! Coming here was honestly a luxury. The tub was waist level, they provided everything I needed, including a velocity dryer which I don't have, so that was very nice. The best part was I didn't have to clean up afterwards! And let me tell you, there was a lot of hair. For only $20 bucks we will definitely be coming back frequently! Thank you guys for providing such an awesome affordable service to the community.

I get my 2 mini schnauzers nails done here. They are so paitent and kind. My 2 spoiled rotten divas won't let me trim their nails. I am allowed to hold them while they trim. Which is a big deal to me. It makes the experience less traumatic for us all.

The staff here is really nice and cares about animals. The self-serve wash is how I wash my short haired dog and so long as you make an appointment to reserve your spot in advance, it’s excellent! They groom my dog with longer hair and I’ve never had any issues. I hope one day they could love to a facility with more space; I can tell they have a lot of clients and more room would benefit their business imo.The biggest thing for me is trusting someone with my animals, and I do here. However, I also feel like the add-on prices can be a little higher than I’m used to but not enough to deter me from coming. Standard grooms don’t cover everything like nails, ears, teeth, glands - these are add on services to the bath and haircut. Would recommend, but expect to spend more money if you want the whole dog spa experience.

Bruce is a rescue. He has trust issues and suffers from separation anxiety. Someone was very cruel to him. He's been going to Bark Avenue since I adopted him. Everyone knows him now. They treat him with love and patience. Jen is awesome! Reports to me every visit. I wouldn't take him anywhere else. Thank you all so much!

I'm very pleased with my 2 visits to Bark Avenue. It's close to my apartment complex, the prices are reasonable, the staff I have encountered have all been pleasant. I really like the security door to prevent anyone from escaping. My only feedback might be in regards to when I had my baby groomed, nails clipped, teeth brushed and glads done. I thought that was part of the grooming package but later when I paid I was a little shocked because I thought it was the $30 something price but it was $60 this is not a complaint. I'm just saying the pricing was not clear to me. I'm a huge supporter of paying people for services rendered and I am not complaining about the price. (If you can't afford it go find less) I'm only saying that it was not clear to me. I have every intention of bringing my baby here again when he's due for an appointment.

We had a really nice experience with Natalie and Brooklyn. They were super kind with our baby Gizmo and we will be returning regularly to get our baby groomed. We had an early appointment and were in and out in an hour. We preferred to not have our baby crates and it worked out very nicely for us.

I like this dog wash. The workers are always very nice and helpful. My dog also absolutely hates water so I was sceptical on how she would react to bringing her here.. first time was a little nerve racking for her but she did good.. the workers all gave her attention/talked to her and getting her in and out the tub was pain free. After her second visit I did a drop off ( where they wash your dog for you) I even allowed them to trim her nails. When I picked her up she was happy. All of the workers told me they enjoyed her being there and she was very friendly ( because she was loved and got attention) my dog is a Dutch Shepherd mix so if she is mistreated she will become very anxious - that was not the case - she was happy when I arrived and happy with all of the workers... She likes going here, isn't afraid and still hates water. But she will tolerate the water when brought here.. 5 stars

Right off the bat, look at how many 5 star reviews this amazing groomer consistently gets. I'm another consistently happy customer (three years now!).We've had both our dogs groomed at Bark Ave, and are always impressed by their timeliness, cleanliness, and friendliness.Our Chow mix (so much hair!) And Terrier mix both eagerly leap out of our car when we show up at Bark Avenue.Most recently, Cindy went above and beyond to make a happy customer even happier, and for that I'm grateful.My sole regret is not buying my dog food from them these past few years. I really should have supported a local business with very competitive prices rather than the online bubbas that don't care who their customers are. Bark Ave has dog food! And treats! And lots of accessories!

I took my 1year old Swiss Shepherd in today for his first professional grooming and he loved it! The staff is incredibly welcoming, attentive and patient. My dog felt comfortable and left smelling soo good. We are entirely happy with our visit and are looking forward to the next one!

I did my homework when choosing who to take my pets for grooming. Especially after all the horror stories you read about pets dying at the groomers. I've been going to Bark Avenue for years now and I don't even live in Tucson! But I don't care, I will travel the 3 hours because it's definitely worth it!The staff here is great and I know my baby is taken care of. I have referred many family members and friends. Some who do the same as I and travel to get them in with them. My dog doesn't get nervous when I drop him off and I love that the grooming area is visible. They always do a great job and follow my instructions. My baby just comes out handsomer! Here's my Olaf looking sharp right after a fresh grooming.
