Stopped in to get a few bolts for a project. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable. Was looking for a certain type of bolt and was pointed in the right direction with some possible solutions to my project. Store is laid out very well and seems like you have everything. If you’re looking for a grill or just a specialty bolt, this is the place you need to go.

I found everything I needed looked around for a while but a tape measure and a roll of blue tape. The cashier helped me use my card to pay for it because the tap on my card wasn't working properly. She was very nice

Been going there for 28 years. Seen general decline for last several years. Some staff still good. Brought item to be sharpened (dog hair clipper), the back part of it was lost. Stated I never dropped that part of. Which is impossible as they had made me disassemble the unit in front of them. I asked for the supervisor who also stated I never dropped it of (why did he then look in all the bins). Bought a new unit online myself. It was only $15, but it is the service that annoys me. I came bake later as I had forgotten something. The guy who 'helped me' moved away from me when I asked for where to find my item - very un-ace like. Next week I pick up something that was sharpened, supervisor ignores me at the counter for several minutes. Wrote a complained online. Got a bot reaction. Complained again, I was told the supervisor at the local store would contact me. It is 2 weeks later. It is clear they don't want my business. I have no problem but am sad I will take it elsewhere

Always well stocked and staffed by the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff on planet earth.I'd highly recommend this establishment.Things are pricey but your in and out in a flash, so what's your time worth?

Mr. Michael DiCaro @ Hardware team has been GREAT! He is very patient and go above and beyond-Michael helped me cut the plexiglass and drill holes for free. My son is very happy with his plexiglass side panel replacement for his computer. Nice store. Great price. Most important-Super shopping experience & Friendly staff!!

Michael in the hardware department has always been super helpful in the myriad of projects I bring to him asking help... He's like a wizard.... Not just of hardware but locks and keys too and always gets my screens extra tight and right!... I've been driving across town to come to this location for over 5 years no mater where I've lived, not just to see my friend Mike D. But because he completes work faster and helps me with projects in a manner above and beyond the service and expertise that I've received at other Ace stores across Tucson.... HE'S NAMES MIKE D. AND HE GETS my RESPECT!!!Edit:Mikey still rocks....

I went to this store (Sunrise/Swan) yesterday during an emergency blackout here in Tucson AZ. I was without electricity for 3 days in 110 degree heat. My laptop and phone batteries stopped working. Being this store had electricity, I walked in and ask cashier if I could use a power outlet to charge devices. Was told NO go next door to McDonnell's. Shopped there for 15 years. Never again.

This is not my 'go to' Ace simply because of the distance from my home. However, it is one of the largest Ace Hardware stores I have ever visited.. As usual usual Ace Hardware staff are extremely helpful in locating the specific items I need when compared to big box hardware stores. This makes my shopping experience much more enjoyable!!

Employees were very rude and unfriendly. I asked the girl at the check out about a sale on the millwakee pack out tool boxes and she just said "i dont know". Then when i tried to charge a few items to the company acount she was no help at all and said i was not on the list. Very rude. Un helpfull. The worst ace in tucson.

Customer service at this store is really hit or miss depending on the employee. I have had fantastic, 5-star interactions with staff who were really interested in solving our house repair issues. Recently, I went in and chatted with a few people about a problem we are having, and I received the worst, 1-star treatment. The last person I was directed to said my idea was stupid (although the previous employee I spoke with suggested it), a waste of money, and there were many other simpler/inexpensive ideas out there. Then he turned his back and walked away, leaving me to feel helpless and confused. This isn’t the first time I’ve been made to feel belittled as a woman in a hardware store, but I thought this Ace was above that. Unfortunately I won’t be shopping here again.

Purchased outdoor thermostat quit working after 2 weeks. Wouldn't exchange or return, without original packaging.Who keeps that when you place In your home. Didn't offer to look up sku, or look in the store or online. Just stood at the front visiting w other associate while I ran all over the store looking w a bad knee!! The item is $20! Please have Mgr email us! Not very nice...

The staff working on the lock/key repairing at this store is really nice and helping. I have my original car key fob but just lost the transponder chip (I thought it was a breaking plastic piece from the broken fob case and I draw it away). I bought one transponder chip on eBay and need to program it (clone the code from the spare key I have). I went to other Ace store and called two local LockSmith stores. No one wanted to help on it with a reasonable cost, either said that I had to to buy a new key set from them or only to provide mobile service with higher charge. I called this store and the young Gentleman agreed to take look at it. I went there and he took within 15min to get it done and charged with a very reasonable price. It is really helping customers!!!

I don't know if Ace employees are ways nice and helpful, but these ones certainly are! They are always asking you if you need any help with anything (I usually do) and they're ways very nice when they do. The store is also always clean and organized. Definitely my favorite one

Well layed out store. Typical products. I use them several times a week for work. Prices are competitive with Home Depot and Lowe's on many common items. Inventory restocking is not great, but staff are extremely helpful and friendly.

Ace hardware is by far the only hardware store that still cares about the customer and get this, they have everything that Lowe's and home Depot do because guess what they can do next day delivery on anything that's not in the store. Also they are the only place you can purchase certain company products. For instance the green egg grills and products are exclusively sold at Ace hardware because they won't allow Lowe's and home Depot sell them because they want to raise the price and green egg won't allow it. Did you know green egg is guaranteed for life and they will literally give you a brand new one if something breaks. And there not the only company that exclusively sell only to Ace hardware because ace hardware still cares about great products and amazing customer service. If you want to wonder around home Depot wondering where the help is well, you do you. If you want somewhere you can go where all the employees actually get trained on the products and there's always someone to assist you then go to Ace hardware and leave knowing you have the right thing the first time. Thank you Ace hardware for always going the extra mile to be the best.

It's pretty much Hit or Miss up there, have had some good and bad experiences. Some of the staff seriously lack any people skills. Condescending, belittling attitude is plentiful.Not to mention that everything up there is very overpriced. But I was told that's because it's for convenience purposes. If you have some knowledge about what your project entails and whats required to get it done, you're much better off going to one of the big box stores. you'll save yourself some money, have much better selection, and won't have to deal with the attitude.

I make my living as a handyman so I'm at the hardware store several times a week and I love going to ace because I know that there will b someone asking me I I need help as soon as I go through the doors. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Is it normal for this Ace to treat their customers like would-be shoplifters?Went into the store for my FIRST TIME and was reasonably surprised by the selection of items Ace had (I didn't even know they had a kitchen section!) so I decided to do a bit of browsing while I searched for the item I was looking for. When I walked in a 50-60 year old man with gray hair (I'm mad I didn't read his name tag) asked me if there was anything I needed. I declined because I was just browsing and generally I don't like asking clerks for help. Just the kind of person I am. He very obviously didn't like that answer saying, "so you're just going to wander around?" and proceeded to follow me around the store for the rest of my visit. As if its's odd for a customer to BROWSE your selection! Imagine being a young woman stalked around a by a grown man. Did not at all add to the shopping experience. At some point he must have called his manager because eventually I was cornered by a woman who again asked if there was anything I needed. At this point I was done being in that store and being treated like a criminal so I let her lead me to my item so I could get out of there.It's a real shame because I live within walking distance and was excited that there was a hardware store close by because I have a lot of projects I'm currently juggling. After this experience I will gladly drive 30 mins to another store.

No one ever tells you that if you become an artist, you're going to spend a lot of time at hardware stores. So I'm happy to have Ace Hardware in the neighborhood. Staff is always unfailingly polite and helpful, there are some good deals to be had, and the store is dog-friendly. One employee, a young guy named Michael, has come to my rescue a number of times in the last few years. Once he figured out a genius way to hang oil paint tubes with oversized caps on a rack, and most recently he dislodged a stuck metal bit from a glass grinder, after I spent hours struggling with it. Thank you, Michael!

This is about firewood sold at this location. Sunrise is my neighborhood store and it is a good store with helpful staff. My issue for this review is the firewood they sell. It made black smoke, smelled like tar, and left heavy black soot on my metal fire-pit.
