Really want to be able to change this review from 2 stars to higher. But the open sign is on and the hours taped to the door says they should be open. Door is locked and no one answers the phone. I understand hours change, but the face page, website, and Google maps hours are even different than what is taped to the door and they still aren't open.

Abstract Aquariums is the nicest place in town to get plants and fish. Paul is extremely helpful and knowledgable. I recently purchased one of his bettas. It is a beautiful fish. This will be where I go for all my aquarium needs.

Place is never open! When I was able to find them open all tanks were filthy and the entire store was just a mess. Don't waste your time stopping by! If you do get lucky enough to find them open you'll just be disappointed by what's inside.

First and foremost, the gentlemen that owns this store is very helpful and you can tell he really has a passion and respect for all the aquatic life he sells! He has great knowledge and explains things very well. I really enjoy this shop and will be coming back!

I had a great experience here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I got a pair of apistogrammas and can say that one transaction is all it took to earn my loyalty. This is a real fish store.

Very knowledgeable Owner/Worker tells you honestly how fish should be kept unlike Petco/ Petsmart who just push sales.Great selection of Fish/ Snails/ Shrimp/ Aquascape selection. Unlike big franchise stores I have not lost a single fish/ shrimp from here.

Excellent quality. The owner and I had a great conversation as I browsed his selection and he was talking about not mixing the shrimp and how certain moss has better results with them. He was identifying which ones were male and female with ease. I was impressed by the knowledge and care that was going into each and every tank. This store does not stock "throwaway" fish. Even their cheaper stock were well taken care of. Kind of a weird location, but definitely worth finding and checking out. 5 stars.

Dead fish and shrimp in almost all of the tanks, and a beta actively eating the blue shrimp fry. The place had construction materials strewn throughout and grime all over the floors. Seems like they just don’t care about appearances.It was a constant struggle to get prices and assistance, you would get help for one thing then they would disappear into the back room on their phone so you would have to pull teeth to get them out to help you again. Ok assortment of tropical fish. It was really disappointing because we had such an incredible experience when they first opened, it is really sad to see another local fish store go downhill.

The best fish store in town. Owner is knowledgeable, kind, and friendly! The fish, plants, and supplies are always top quality. If you are planning on getting into aquascaping and/or natural planted tanks this is the store for you!

Poor quality fish, most of the fishies in there have bend/broken spines, the place is filthy and unkept.My wife bought 5 guppies from this place and most of them died after a couple of days some of them even showing signs of desease. We will not be coming back to this place.

Nice little shop, decent selection of fish, and plants, and the prices were decent. The bettas looked a little droopy, but they're not in cups so that's a huge plus. The main reason I'll be going back from now on is the nice young man working there. He was so friendly and helpful. He legit acted happy to see us, and the whole experience was super cool.

Really nice store with a great selection of fish and aquarium essentials. Owner was friendly and extremely helpful. Will definitely visit again. Would recommend to anyone just getting started with keeping fish and experienced fish owners.

Rather overpriced for fish. Low stock and variety. Place is pretty small and rarely clean or organized. Couldn’t recommend to others at this time.

Awesome little spot with healthy and clean fish. Great prices and the shop staff is knowledgeable and helpful. As a fish enthusiast you can spot people that just don't care about the hobby. As for this business I could easily see the attention to detail and great care for the little fish. Good job Abstract Aquariums, 5/5 definately would recommend.

The most clean and cared for fresh water fish shop I have ever been to. The staff is incredibly sweet and helpful and the fish are so happy and healthy. Not a single dead fish in any tank unlike any pet store I have been to. Best prices for freshwater fish that I’ve seen in Tucson and the employee gave us a whole bag of free snails since they have so many. Will absolutely be coming back to this amazing establishment.

Very nice place, owner is knowledgeable and takes good care of his fauna and flora respectably. Selection isn't the biggest but the store is relatively young and I expect it to grow and become well stocked. Just FYI there isn't a big sign or anything for the store atm but the front door has the logo on it which is a bit hard to see, it can't be seen from the road you have to go to the back of the strip mall to find it. All in all I had a great experience here and plan to keep coming back for more 😁

Stopped in for some Java Fern. Owner was nice and easy to chat with. Smaller store but has a good selection. Noticed he had some nice guppies so will have to cruise in next time I m in the area and get another male.

Went on a Wednesday at 12. The sign said open but the door was locked and nobody answered the phone. There was also a jar of live tetras outside? And a whole rack of over 20 beta inside that were in green water with most dead.

The people here are super knowledgeable and helpful. My fish had seemingly incurable fin rot and I tried everything. I talked to them about the problem and they recommended me a medication that finally worked! I can’t thank them enough. This is the place to go if you need medications for your fish, they have a wide variety at a cheaper price than the big name stores.

We've been 2 different times and they were closed both times, went a 3rd time and they were closed. Sat and waited and they finally opened, for how unkept the tanks were and how many dead fish we saw, we can't personally justify the prices.

Easily the best aquarium shop in town. All plants and fish were very healthy, the owner is friendly and COVID rules are followed with mask wearing. Prices are low for how healthy everything is! Great alternative to ordering anything living from the Internet or other shops here in town.

I absolutely love this store. I just wish they would actually be open when their hours say they are open. I've shown up during the open hours several different times and it's been closed which is such a bummer because I absolutely love this store and want to give my money to them instead of other pet stores. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars is the hours don't match up when it's open.

Beautiful tanks, owner is so helpful and friendly. I’m very happy to have found a great alternative since ANA’s close. I will definitely be coming back often and recommending to friends (that is, if I had any friends who cared about aquariums...or any friends at all)

Great fishstore hidden in an empty plaza. They had a great selection of fancy Betta and driftwood. All their fish and plants looked healthy and lively.
