The staff is always so nice and caring around Zeke, they always make sure he's taken care of and treat him with great kindness. I absolutely love coming here! Signing up for free vaccines for life for him was also the best thing I've done as it makes sure Zeke gets his vaccines and that I don't have to finance them every time. Less worry overall, and I know he's in great hands here!

My beloved pity had to have surgery a month or so back. Every staff member I have worked with was amazing! Knowledgeable, compassionate & kind!Also, every time you call they are helpful and smiling over the phone- not a lot of places with this amazing of customer service anymore!(P.s. Her scar healed up within 2 weeks and hair grew back in 3-4, now you can’t even tell!)

We woke up Super Bowl Sunday to realize we had lost our 10yr old beloved Wyatt. He had passed in the night. My wife and I were heart broken and lost. Our Normal Vet was closed and we wanted to have him cremated and his paw print. We made a few calls and the wonderful staff at surprise Animal Hospital were incredible. They were open and said bring him right in. Once we arrived they took our best friend in and immediately returned with his paw print and told us he would be in good hands they were very sympathetic and compassionate. I would highly recommend them and trust them with my best friend any day.

It has taking me a several years to be able to post this. In September 2017 I had to unfortunately put my 14 1/2 year-old Chihuahua down because he was just so sick. I mean I brought him in to be checked to see if he just needed some medicine, but his health was declining so fast that I had to make the saddest decision of my life. The medicine might have given him another week, but I didn’t want him to pass potentially by himself. OMG It was so heartbreaking and I just am so thankful that they were so caring towards me for such a difficult decision. They didn’t rush me and gave me some space to spend his last moments with his family. I had my little two-year-old who was ready for a nap and crying and I was SOBBING on FaceTime with my family so they could see him one last time. It was such an emotional situation but they made that process a lot easier on me, because of how caring they were towards me and my beloved childhood dog. I will always remember their kindness, I still have the card <3. (PS if you can get their paw prints DO IT, you will love being able to see a physical piece of your fur baby outside of their ashes)

I appreciate being able to get my injured animal in quickly. The level of care and comfort your team provided made my dog feel very at ease and I appreciate it. I also appreciate the fact that the treatment plan was conservative and not invasive unless necessary with all costs being transparent.

I am so glad I took my dog here! I needed to put my old dog down and showed up 3 hours early and they found a way to squeeze us in!The doctor and techs (and all staff) were so kind, compassionate and understanding!! I was a mess and they made the process as smooth and comfortable as it could be!I will bring all future pets here for regular vet care!

My dog just died hours ago at this hospital, the staff did what they could, and the doctor was concerned about my other dog…I thought about it for an hour and tried to bring my dead dogs brother in to make sure everything was okay, when I called the staff wouldn’t squeeze me in even though my dog is literally deceased in there back room and the doctor told me too. I needed to make an appointment is what I was told. This review is not against the doctor or the treatment of my dog that passed but a reflection of the person answering the phone being a gatekeeper and unsympathetic or willing to to understand there own doctor wanted me to come in. So heartbreaking, I took my dog to another facility and when they heard his brother passed away they did everything the could to make sure he wouldn’t.

You guys are amazing! We switched to you guys after seeing a different vet for a year, and we were so pleased that we did the switch. We felt like the vet spent quite a bit of time with our dog, got to know him, and never took him from us to give him vaccines or evaluate him. I noticed a difference in my dog as well being with the vet. Thank you for everything. We love it here.

Thought this place was a gem. Everyone in office face to face seemed competent and nice. After a failed treatment for a bilateral ear infection a culture was performed after being told it would take "a few days". After 6 days waiting for the culture results we were told that they are short staffed and the doctors haven't been able to read the culture results yet, that we were going to be called the next day to go over results. When asked when the results came in, they reported they had been received 3 days ago. Short staffed when everyone is short staffed is NOT an excuse. It is your duty as a provider to do your job. Coming from the medical field, we are all short staffed and still find a way to get important results addressed. Now, our dog has been suffering in pain from this ear infection when treatment should have been started at least 2 days ago, having results 3 days ago. Unacceptable. You have failed our dog by being negligent.

I wish the front desk would be trained better on taking phone calls. Each time I call, I’m put on hold, told there is one person in front of me, and forgotten about. I hang up after being on the phone for 10-15 min, call back and get right through to being helped, proving they forgot to go back to the phone as they were no longer helping any one. The personal conversations you can hear and laughing in the background also attest to this. We paid for the free vaccines for life for our youngest dog but between this, not being able to get appointments for 1.5-2 months due to how booked they are, I’m considering switching my older dog.

Unfortunately my Sugar passed away a few days ago. They had seen us just before closing and was very patient and stayed to take care of us. I received Sugars ashes three days later it made my day getting them so soon. They were so caring. This is a really good place to take you pet. We have been coming here for the past few years and have always had a great experience.

I can’t even begin to express my gratitude towards every single person my mom and I can’t in contact with at this surprise location. Not only were they the only ones out of 18 calls who would take in my fur baby (kitty❣️) but they stayed late and worked around the clock taking care of him and giving him his emergency blood work/fluids and bladder crystal procedure. Dr. Westerwheel thank you so very much for explaining in detail and not in a rush whatsoever to make sure we understood everything that was being done to my cat/aftercare. We drive a half hour to see them and it’s worth every mile and we’ll continue to do so because they saved my baby boy from a painful outcome. Dr Savannah was amazing too and all the front desk ladies were so friendly and helpful they even helped out working with my server- budget, Seriously cannot thank you all enough <333

Surprise Animal Hospital was very responsive to my needs and was able to get my puppy in same day as the concern was distemper. We had adopted a second puppy from MCACC and thought he had distemper, so we were concerned that our first puppy would get it. Vaccines are not 100%. The vet took the time to review the paperwork from the county on the second puppy and reassured us that he didn’t have distemper. They gave our first puppy a check over and then options for her care and were very sensitive to financial concerns.Every time I have contacted them they have been super helpful, take the time to listen, and do their best to accommodate us.

I spoke to Alisa, and someone brought my dog Tony in that hospital. I told her he was taken, and they wouldn't even keep him so I could fly out there and get my baby. They claim they don't hold strays pitiful. At least I know he's alive. I pray whoever has him. They take good care of him. God bless 🙌

Dr. Nicole was great! She didn't push any unwanted or unneeded tests or vaccinations on us and that is greatly appreciated. She was thorough in her examination of both our dogs. She interacted with our crazy dogs really well and helped to calm them down. Will definitely see her again!Megan was very helpful too. She explained the charges well and took the time to explain how the free vaccination program works. Great team at this clinic!

Everyone was super friendly. I initially spoke with Linda over the phone and she explained pricing and how things work. She asked a bunch of questions to find out what was needed for Onyx. I ended up crying because I was scared and didn't know what would happen to my boy. She was very empathetic and talked me through things and I felt like she truly acknowledged how I was feeling. She got me an appt as soon as she could and was very sweet. The vet and assistant who saw him were also great. They were very informative and treated Onyx very well. He was dirty and covered in pee because he kept having accidents and despite me giving him a bath before we arrived, he was messy again. They didn't seem to mind and they pet him and loved on him. They commented about how sweet he was and how everyone in the back loved him. This made me feel better and made me feel less of a bad pet mom. I was worried they would judge me for how dirty and stinky he was but they were fully understanding. They went over pricing with me and allowed me to choose which treatments to get now (per my budget) and worked with me to get Onyx the best care. I highly recommend this clinic and I will be going back as much as I need to.

There are no amount of stars in the universe I can give the staff here for their amazing attentive care. We recently lost our sweet baby girl Annabel at 15 years and almost 2 months old. This speaks volumes to the awesome care that the staff have given her. Her breed usually has a life expectancy of 11-13 years. When I called to inform them of our loss, we received many heartfelt condolences from all of the staff. Thank you, everyone, for the kind words and phenomenal care you have shown over last 8 years to our precious girl.

I moved south this year and ended up going back up to surprise for my vet visits because no one does it better then these guys. They actually listen to me, I'm the mother to my dog and am with him 24/7 I know what's happening with him so going to a vet and having them listen is important to me. I don't feel brushed off or see any annoyance on their face that I'm over reacting or they know more than me. They do an amazing job at caring for my dog and working with the parent to find answers!

We've used Surprise Animal Hospital a few times over the years got various things. The first time was because I had a cat spayed at one of those mobile clinics and she ended up getting pneumonia and was severely constipated. I let them know my budget and they worked the tests and medicines into my budget where we didn't use it all up. Last year they saw my daughters dog for his pre travel vet check when he went on an airplane trip back east and they were awesome with him. However this last unplanned visit is the one that touched me the most. My daughters dog suddenly died at almost 10 years old of what was apparently a heart attack. We called to asked how much body disposal was because we don't have a property we could bury him on and we were feeling really guilt ridden about having to send him off. They were very compassionate and explained the cost of mass cremation was $69 and we didn't get ashes back or it was out of our budget to do individual cremation so I don't remember the price. When I went in to sign the papers and pay she asked if we wanted a clay paw print. They didn't mention that on the phone, so she let me know it was included in the cost. I said yes because my 15 year old would love that gift to have something of her dog that she's had since he was 8 weeks old. When I picked up the paw print a week later it was way better than I expected! She described it like it was just a small ornament size, but they presented us with a leather wallet type case with his paw prints, his name, a place for a picture on the side that has the poem, and a condolence card. The lady who met me in the back (so as to not upset anyone in the lobby), was very nice with helping bring his body inside. Their caring and compassion in such a sad time was so greatly appreciated.
