Great little shop with knowledgeable staff. Loved that the staff wasn’t pushy and let me browse at my leisure. Great prices compared to what I see online or in big box pet stores. All the fish were healthy and had a great selection of fresh and saltwater. Will definitely be frequenting 👍🏻

I'm new to the hobby and Kona Reef has been an absolute rock for me. All of the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and kind, never pushy for anything and overall very helpful. I have them service my tanks as well since I'm so new and each time they come out it's a joy to visit with them and get the inside scoop on all the new fish they have in. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who has fresh or saltwater tanks!

Awesome store with a great selection for both fresh and saltwater fish. The best part though was Aiden! Super knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We came in with a tall order and were pretty specific in the fish we wanted from each tank and he kept the process fun while trying to catch a specific fish from a cool 60 frantic fish swimming around haha. Great kid, great shop and great experience! Thanks Kona we will be back!

I've been going to Kona Reef Surprise for about a year. I have two tanks and I get my salt water from this location. They have taken care of me since day one and provide some of the best service I've ever been given at a LFS. Logan is always willing to help and provide an amazing customer service experience. All the guys at the store are awesome and this store in my opinion is the best location out of the 3 stores. They always have an amazing selection fish. The corals always look healthy and clean. They guys really do care about the store, the animals and providing a great experience. Keep up the good work!!!

This aquarium store is awesome, friendly people that work there. They have pretty much everything you need to start this amazing hobby. Been to Kona in Surprise many times. We bought our tank there recently. Logan helped us the whole time. Walked around the store letting us know what we would need. They came to our house and set it up and taught us how to use it. We recently started adding fish and I can’t wait to continue growing our home ocean with the help of Kona. I couldn’t do it without them. Recently visited a different store and I was not impressed. Kona is definitely our home store.

My family and I have been to Kona Reef twice now. The first time we went to get more information about getting a fish tank. We’re newbie to the aquarium life. We spoke with Logan on this first visit. He helped answer ALL of our questions. He was so nice and informative. The store was very clean. They have a wide variety of fish and the aquariums were so clean.Our second visit was to purchase a fish for our one of our daughters. Logan had helped us again. We appreciate his patience with all of our questions. It was nice because they sell the water there for our new clown fish. We are so thankful we found Kona Reef. The kids loved going there to look at the fish. We will definitely be going there for any of our fish needs going forward.

Kona Reef is the only place we trust to buy our saltwater fish, coral reefs, and equipment. Each time we have gone to the shop, we have been greeted by name, and given prompt attention. Thoroughly knowledgeable about all aspects of this hobby, we have come to rely heavily on staff like Logan to share with us his extensive experience with setting up a healthy tank, choices for great fish and corals, and ways to maintain our tank. Logan really knows his stuff!! Also, the tanks in this shop are impeccably clean and well cared for. Other places cannot even begin to compare to the quality and service you will receive at Kona Reef in Surprise!

I love going to this fish store. They have amazing customer service, and Logan is always there to help with awesome advice for salt or freshwater creatures. It has helped tremendously in my new adventures in saltwater. They are fairly priced and can order some fish if they don't have it in stock. The display tanks are scaped with items they sell in store, and maintained beautifully to give you some ideas for your tank. Go in and take a peek, you will definitely be back.

I have been going to Kona since i first started my salt water hobby about 2 months ago. Let me say, this is by far the best location ive visited throughout the phoenix area. Everything looks clean, organized and there is always different variety of fish. Its almost always hard to leave without a new fish lol Logan has been beyond helpful, patient and very informative on every little thing I need to know. He gives his best honest personal opinions for the best aquarium care outcomes! Thank you guys!

This is my favorite tropical & salt water fish store. You can find me hanging out in the salt water section, dreaming of next purchase. Kona Reef experts, Gus and Luis, have great aquatic knowledge from fish to invertebrates. I can rely on their expert opinion for best type of coral, snails and fish for my 3-month old salt water tank and so far, all species are thriving. The store has a wide selection of fresh and salt water species which has me returning weekly for new arrivals.

I was impressed with the website talking about how meticulously they take care of their fish. Drove there today and picked up 8 fish for my new 55 gallon tank and now, two hours later, 5 are already dead. I took them straight home, correctly acclimated them to the tank (which had properly cycled), and tested my water. All was well. Now I have three bodies unaccounted for and have to tear apart my decor to find them before they affect my water quality. I would have done better with a goldfish from a school fair.

They sell you fish and don't say it's aggressive. Make sure you know your fish don't depend on them for education of the fish. My daughter lost 2 clowns 150 worth to 6 line wrasse and all they can do is 15.00 in store credit

My wife took me to Kona when she adopted some axolotls and I decided I would set up a tank myself and I’ve been bothering them at least once a week ever since! Everyone there is very knowledgeable, kind, and willing to help. Like I said everyone there is great but I would like to thank Logan specifically because he has helped me through this process so much! I will definitely keep going back to Kona for my fish needs!

Wow! We walked around this ultra clean and well maintained aquarium store for about an hour. Sincerely courteous and helpful staff were always readily available. Their prices are very good and the quality of their aquatic animals and plant life is WAY above average. This is by far the best maintained and helpful store we have visited in quite some time.

Went to this store a couple weeks ago looking to start a saltwater aquarium. The store is wonderful! I met one of the sales person Aiden, I have not ever had someone take so much time with me, answering all my questions and offering suggestions that were very helpful. Came back in a couple of days and made a purchase with having someone seeing it up in my home, Curt did the setup and that was also a great experience. Absolutely recommend Kona Reef!!!
