Avoid if possible. I placed an order online, used my rewards and a unique coupon. I got the email saying that the full order is ready for pickup. I go to the store and I am being told that some items are missing. Do I still want the order? Since my order was "fulfilled" my coupon AND reward has been used and no longer working. They cancelled my order and I just lost my $30. I also wasted time and money to go to the store and not pick up my items.Update: I just changed my review to 3 star, since the manager called me and helped me get my "money" back.

Ace has always been the go to place... Lowes & Home depot fall short at times... Both places did not have the right size drill bits or the right hardness of bolts... Ace has the best Selection for bolts and drill bits... Awesome store..

KEVIN!!! I’m rating this specific Ace 5 stars. I’ve been in here many times and Kevin has helped me with things a few times.I’m at the point now where if Kevin’s there, I go straight to him. He is hands-down of any hardware store I’ve been to, the most helpful, attentive, and such a chill guy.So, kind of embarrassing (lol) but I went there today and I was squatted for a while checking bolts out… I ended up blacking out (I’m fine lol)… I got up and told Kevin… if it were any other person helping me anywhere, I would’ve been mortified… I felt so comfortable with Kevin that I felt like I blacked out in front of my twin… haha. That really how great his customer service is. He made sure I was good and I walked out saying you’re so chill, I am SO glad I was with you, man!!! If I went to any other hardware store and this happened, I’d 86 myself forever from that place LOL, no lie. I told Kevin, I will definitely be back again. HAHA.Anyway, thanks Kevin. I’ll be sad if you ever leave this Ace! I can’t stop laughing at myself for what happened. Geez.

It has a lot of different items here that other places don’t, but it also doesn’t have some items that others do. So three stars is good for that reason and the customer service is ok, could be better. But begger’s can’t be choosers.

Some varieties are out of stock. It's sometimes hard to get exactly what is needed. A large volume of things are in stock, and personnel are helpful.

A little irritated with Ace Hardware in Surprise, AZ. The store is close to my home so I shop there occasionally for home project stuff. Home Depot and Lowes are further down Bell road. I've shopped at ACE many times over the years and in different states. The store manager Daniel Corpus has a store policy that customers can't use the restroom. I found that odd because of the size of store it is. I shopped for years at Ace in Boulder City, NV, much smaller store and never had that issue.The guy at the register heavy guy, beard, with glasses informed me that the store doesn't have public restrooms, now I had to go bad and he proceeded to ask me all the ridiculous questions at the register they always ask and I told him please hurry I have to use the restroom and you won't let me use the stores. I really think this is a miss on customer service at this building. I hope the manager Daniel Corpus kinda looks at this policy of his and thinks about customers first. I'm so irritated that i'm going to return all my items after typing this review and goto to Home Depot down the street.

I'm sorry I didn't catch the associate's name, but as soon as I walked in, he asked if I needed help and helped me find the car light bulbs I was looking for and the cashier was super friendly.

I have never gone in to this or the one in SCW when I haven't been greeted and asked if I needed help finding something. The main reason why I go there first and then to the big box stores if absolutely necessary.

Dropped off two very good quality (Solingen) kitchen knives off on Sunday to be sharpened. I had the very same knives sharpened here a couple years ago and they did a very nice, clean job. The knives barely looked sharpened but had a beautiful new edge on them. This time I was told there wasn't anyone qualified to sharpen them (on Sunday), so I needed to leave them overnight and someone would sharpen them on Monday and call me when they were done. No problem. Monday morning comes around and I get the call from Lee in the service department. I stop in on my way to work and he has them nicely wrapped and ready to go, $3 per knife. Got them home later that afternoon, unwrapped the knives, and was shocked at what I saw. On both the 6" utility knife and 3" paring knife, he had so aggressively ground them down that he actually reshaped the blade itself (see pics). I laid another almost identical blade next to it so you can see the difference (before & after). I hone the knives almost every time I use them depending on job, and the blades were in perfect shape. All they needed was a new "edge". Look closely at the top blade! That's what he did to my perfect good, expensive kitchen knives. IF YOU VALUE YOUR KNIVES, DO NOT TAKE THEM HERE! It's obvious he doesn't know what he's doing and will over-aggressively grind them down in the same manner. And to think I've told other people they offer this service here! What was I thinking??? I'm sure Lee is a nice guy, but I've had these expensive Solingen gourmet kitchen knives for 25 years, and left in his hands for 5 minutes they've basically been turned into camping knives. No pun intended but my knives got butchered. Do not get your knives sharpened here, or you'll be as sorry as I am.

Very helpful, all the employees, they're great. Only thing I don't like here is their hours, 6 pm is when I do my best work and they're closed...I get it, employees have a life too so all good!😉

Ace is great for hardware, but their paint department cannot match preexisting paint colors. I tried to have them match a wall paint color, but it turned very dark when it dried. I showed the paint department manager photos of how badly their paint didn't match the original color and he did nothing to help rectify their mistake. I was contacted by the store. After posting this review and they replaced the paint.

went in last sunday and had a pleasant experience as it was my first time in the store so i had no expectations. i was greeted right away at the door by two ladies i think their names were dolly and claudette, then again when i was at the register. will 100% be coming back to this location as this service breeched any expectations i have regarding customer service.

The staff was super helpful as always. I needed an additional garage door opener to replace my old one and the gentleman who asked if he could help me guided me right to the one I needed and I was in and out in no time.
