As many have stated, the rooms have been completely renovated during COVID. Very nice with two comfortable beds, new floors, a small refrigerator, and nice bathroom. We did not have hot water the first two nights which made for cold showers, but had it the third night. Not sure why and no communications from staff. Staff is not the most welcoming or friendly, but not a big deal. Very quiet too so will sleep well. Only thing missing is something to make hot water in the rooms. The lodge does not open until 8am and we left for our hikes each day before then. So no hot water for coffee, tea, or the dehydrated breakfast meals. The lodge does have some food open to guests. Some is provided by the lodge, some left by guests. Of course the location is incredible.

This is the best place to get a good night's sleep in the whole region. The beds are INCREDIBLE. The temperature was great inside all day, even with the big swing in temp outside. There's a fridge in every room, but no microwave. There is a microwave in the lobby, but the hours are a bit unpredictable. There is also a microwave in the store in town. There's a great courtyard with lots of picnic tables.Rooms: Well lit, updated and confortable.Nearby activities: Havasu, Mooney and Beaver Falls are incredible.Safety: Didn't feel unsafe here at all.Walkability: Its 8 miles to the lodge and another 2 to the first falls, but its worth it.Food & drinks: Make sure you bring enough food. The microwave is not always an option and the cafe is rarely open, if ever. The lobby has coffee and tea and things, but it wasn't always open when they said and always closed before dark.Noteworthy details: Tale off your shoes outside! Since they don't service the rooms while you're there, you'll be walking in sand the whole time.

Havasupai Lodge highly exceeded my expectations — just a lovely place to immerse yourself in the beauty of Havasu Canyon! I’ve visited twice, and the lodge is now wonderfully renovated to meet an amazing amount of hiker needs despite this being one of the most remote communities in the contiguous US. Yes, certain elements are basic (bring your own clock, Kleenex, and hangers if you need them), but overall, I was shocked at the amenities supplied. Our room included an excellent wall AC, a comfy memory-foam mattresses, a sturdy dining table with two chairs, plenty of fresh towels, ample amounts of soap/lotion, and an overall fresh, stylish design (clean bathroom, big vanity, mini fridge, etc.). We arrived early and had an easy check-in, and the lobby offered a few treats in the morning, including muffins. There’s a smart layout to the whole place, including a courtyard with a grill and two decks (perfect for stargazing), and the store and café are within easy walking distance. Visiting requires securing reservations through the Havasupai Tribe’s official website and hiking about eight miles from the Hualapai Hilltop trailhead. Once you reach the lodge, it’s only another few miles to 50 Foot, Little Navajo, Havasu, Mooney, and Beaver Falls — all exquisite in their natural beauty. The land of the blue-green waters is exceptional in every way, and staying at the lodge makes the visit even more comfortable and inviting! (Did not take pictures of the grounds, as photos aren't allowed in the village, out of respect for residents.)

For three years, I have waited for a refund. The entire Havasupai Reservations team is horrible to work with and incredibly disrespectful. They SOLD my reservation, took money from the buyer and then... refused to provide me with a refund. They continue to do this over and over again, and REALLY wish they were held accountable. My next step is to complete a fraud investigation through my credit card company and let them discuss with the tribe. This fraudulent activity really makes this experience horrible and honestly, I would avoid trying to travel to this area. The people that run the camping permits etc are the WORST.

I am sad to see such poor reviews of the lodge and the people. This lodge is 10 miles down into the Grand Canyon. People must have very high expectations to be disappointed. The beds were comfortable, the showers were hot for the most part, the AC was cold, and the people warmed up to you. I found the whole experience to be pleasant. Not everyone there is super friendly at first but I don’t think you can expect them to be after all the disrespect they’ve probably witnessed from entitled people visiting their village. I found most of the tribe to be very kind once we proved to be respectful and caring of their people and village. Also, one review mentioned bed bugs but we did not have that problem at all. There is a cafe near the lodge that serves great breakfast. We didn’t really get to eat lunch or dinner there since we were at the falls but I found the prices to be reasonable considering the location. Had a great time! If you go, be reasonable, be respectful, and have a blast! Also, be considerate and do not bring alcohol into their reservation.

The lodge was very acceptable especially after a long day of hiking. It's nothing fancy but comfortable. Hot shower or bath plus comfortable beds. The room was clean although in disrepair overall. The smoke detectors were pulled off the ceiling, so non-existent. That's obviously a safety issue that they should address. Floor tiles we're cracked and the curtains we're off the rods. The lodge manager was rude at first but we finally got her to crack a smile. Not very helpful. There is only one restaurant in the town and it closes at 5, so be prepared. The food was fine. Overall, this is upgraded camping. No TV or blow dryer, just FYI! The cost was over 250.00 per night so you really have to hate camping.

Perfect, we are so happy and grateful for having an option to stay at this kind of place. We got way more than expected. Large rooms, new and great bathroom/shower. The best beds ever! (Like seriously I miss those beds). Pomegranate tree right at your door step. Lobby with extras (lots of people leave food behind in order to not carry it out of the canyon). Excellent location (on the way in its the shorter possible hike and on the way out it's the most perfect distance, no kidding).

The accommodations are super simple. Nothing fancy. We had 2 beds and A/C, a sink, shower and toilet. The bathroom had drywall like they just replaced the ceiling light. Plenty of outlets to charge your stuff and plug things in. No TV. They had lotion, bar soap, and shampoo. A little closet area we used to hang our wet clothes. Left the door open most of the time, no problems with people just ALLOT of bugs. I recommend checking under the dresser and couch to make sure nothing is hiding. A few benches outside and a place to grill. With a grassy area to relax. The place could really benefit from a power wash, but definitely cozier then camping.

It's a comfortable bed after a long day of hiking. There are amenities, I'm sure, but I didn't take advantage of them. The water was cold, and the staff had gone home by the time I discovered that, so I couldn't take a shower. It was rough since I was such a dirt bag after hiking all day. Everyone I encountered seemed to not want to be there. But, after all, it's a touch of civilization in a very remote area, and it is worth the price if for only the ability to rest up for the adventures before and after.

5 stars for where you are!The lodge has 2 queen beds in each room, shower, vanity area, love seat couch, and 1-2 tables. Definitely a nice, quiet area to come back & sleep if you're not camping. The rooms open up to an open court yard type, with a few picnic benches and 1-2 decks that people were grilling out on.Hours may be a little strange, as of May 2016 they were open around 8/9am, lunch around 11:30/12-1pm. We arrived during lunch & waited for our checkin keys, etc.I know people have reported lots of mid-information here, and we received the same. Called 6 times and get 6 different answers/information. The last time I called, I heard what I wanted to hear, so we didn't call back - just arrived!Beautiful place, recommend staying at least 2 days, 3 days if you hike in and out. Take time to enjoy the falls and creek. Falls & swimming pools are ALL along the creek. Absolutely beautiful.

We went in November and it is very nice for the location. There's 2 queen beds, bathroom with hot showers and toiletries. There's also heating and A/C! It's not a fancy place but it's better than camping and hauling a bunch of supplies. There's a cafe and general store nearby the Lodge. Can't wait to go back!

The lodge was perfect for us. As older occasional hikers in our 50's having the no frills lodge allowed us to hike in without the extra weight and inconvenience of carrying packs and gear, other than lots of WATER!. Then having the comfort of a climate controlled soft bed was awesome after a long hike in. This may seem like cheating to the younger more athletic types, but for us I don't think we would have had the experience without the comforts of the lodge.

I’ve been there in July 2019.Theoretically- check in start at 13:00 and ends at 16:00 and even you have someone in the lobby earlier they most likely won’t take the payment and give you the key before 13:00.I was under the weather impression that the price for the lodge includes the permit- but apparently it’s NOT- it is 440$ a day for the room and 110$ per day per person for the permit (so a group of 4 will pay 880$ a day!).The room we got was renovated (I think by now they renovated all the rooms) and it was very niceAnother important thing to consider- there are no fridges in the room and the stores are closing around 18:00- quite the challenge for having a late dinner especially on the first day of arrival......

The positive: so much better than hiking with all that camping gear. also you can get a shower every night. just basic amenities. it was clean. The negative: the staff is really unfriendly. they never answer the phone so good luck in getting a reservation in the first place. we had to call about 100 times for them to pick up 1 time. they were rude at check in. they were rude at check outEDIT 1/28/2021 we had a reservation for June 2020 and this was pushed to June 2021 due to covid. i called them today to confirm and they said even though we had a reservation, the price went up from $400 per night to $660 per night. If we dont want to pay the difference, we lose the reservation. I stand by my first review: extremely rude people. Everyone is having a hard time during the pandemic. They make it worse.

Clean comfortable rooms with nice bathrooms. Nice air-conditioning. In Supai therefore almost 1.5 miles short of Havasu Falls, but then that is a plus for the hike back up (compared to the campground). Somewhat under-staffed but polite and helpful. Phone service for reservations is a erratic. Check-in does not happen till past noon. Without checking in and receiving a permit, one cannot walk to the falls. Therefore if you hike in early, you will likely be waiting for a few hours in town before you move on. Campers can get a permit from the tourism office, but lodge guests cannot.

Lodging is fine. You get a bed and a bathroom with a shower. There isnt a coffee maker in the room. Had to walk to the grocery store that opened at 6:00 or 6:30 to get a hot cup of coffee. The lodge didn't open until 8: an. So if you wanted to get an early start on your hiking for the day u need to go to the grocery store.

Honestly I get that this place is literally in the middle of nowhere, however, the rooms should be well kempt for the amount of money they charge. I was there for 2 days & did not get the extra towels I requested & no housekeeping was done. Not even to take out the trash. I love the Supai area but the lodge rooms should be much much cleaner.Update on visit:Since our last visit the rooms have all been remodeled. I retract my previous review & feel like the time I spent there was worth what I paid for. This is a beautiful area and the locals are friendly. My family Loves hiking down here.

Don't expect to be waited on hand and foot. A no nonsense staff, no free breakfast but if your nice they might give you a hot water pot.I just called them in the morning, and they had a room available for 2 nights in August, 2 weeks in advance. Beautiful, stupendous waterfalls, just the best! The hike down is also beautiful, just pack light, no need to pay anyone (horse or helicopter) to carry your stuff. Wonderful trip! Also, after dinner at the cafe, (sit outside on the porch) mosey on over to the basketball court and try to strike up a game with the locals, great way to meet and talk to some of the kids at least!

Lodge is nice and clean. There are a few picnic tables and a grill if you bring food to cook.Check-in time is at 1pm to 5pm. They will not let you in the lobby until then and will only allow one person to come into the lobby for check-in.After-hours you will have to knock on the Hotel room door labeled "Manager". Overall the service is alright for being in a remote area.

The lodge was neat and clean, hot water and a clean shower and bathroom are in the room. There is electric kettle and some tea bags and quick oatmeals in the lodge registration center that are free to use by residents of lodge. There are two queen beds in each bedroom, bed sheets are clean. There is public wifi that is spotty in the rooms, but when you step out of the room, it works quite fine.

If you don't want to bust out the tent then this is the only place to stay! The customer service is pretty poor but the rooms will do versus sleeping on the ground. The water is potable in the rooms and the clubhouse may have an electric water boiler for you to use if you're nice to them.

Typical hotel. But some tiles in the bathroom cracked and may cut your bare feet. I showered around 6-7 pm each day and had no hot water. No TV, microwave or refrigerator in room. Has ac and heater. Place is mostly clean. Would stay at lodge again mainly because I dont want to carry so much stuff down.

So nice to hike down to the Havasupai Reservation and a comfortable bed and bathroom! Really not that much more than the cost of camping. Need reservations many months in advance! Recommend they get an online reservation, payment, and confirmation system. The lady at the lodge spends her whole day with the phone stuck in her ear.

This review has nothing to do with Havasupai, which is a wonderfully beautiful place or the people in the tribe, who are relatively friendly for the most part. This is specific to the lodge... Falling apart, holes in the walls, missing fixtures, no amenities whatsoever, about 15 seconds of warm (not hot) water during our entire stay, rude staff. There's wifi, but it goes in and out and at its best is only good enough to get a couple of pictures out on WhatsApp. You basically pay over 200 dollars a night for AC and a bed. It adds two miles each way to your hike to the falls. It wouldn't take much to fix this place with what they charge. It's clear there is no reinvestment into the property. Save your money, your legs, and your sanity - go to the campground instead.

This is best part... After a long hike , you deserve to have a good sleep :) Rooms are comfortable... looks new .... lodge offers one food option on every night.. Its pretty good considering no eating places in the village.

Such an amazing place. The host was very nice and helpful. She even let us check in a little early. I felt so welcome in a village I had previously known nothing about. We are absolutely going again. Maybe every year.
