She and her entire staff are dedicated to serving our entire Community with the highest standard of care!The entire process from checking in to procedure for our animals and review of treatment and home care after procedure is clear, professional and succinct with detailed printed binders so that one has a detailed record of procedure(s) and home care!We are all So fortunate to have her as a resource of the Highest Quality of Care for our beloved "Pure Drops of Love in Furry Little Bodies"...our companion animals! Yesterday my chub-a-muffin, 17 year old dog jumped off the bed and hurt her arm. I was praying I wouldn't have to drive all the way to Flag or Prescott for medical care. I tried this clinic since they are one of the only ones available on weekends. They took us back almost immediately. Got my dog sufficiently out of pain right away. Did xrays and exam and gave me a script for pain control. I was so pleased with the doctor, Jennifer Johnson, and all the staff and how serious they took my sweet old girl's discomfort. I thought for sure this was going to be $500.00-600.00 upon check out. Nope, under $300. I will definitely recommend them to everyone. Really great care! Super staff! Quick and efficient and they don't mess around with pain!

These nice folks saved the life of our gray tabby, Dopple, who somehow managed to swallow this piece of mesquite tree, complete with thorn! It was lodged in his esophagus, and he was having a hard time breathing, besides obviously being in a lot of pain. The stick wasn't visible, and we had no idea what was wrong with him, but they got him in first thing when we called and X-rays soon showed the problem. Just a few hours later, he was on his way home with us and completely back to normal other than being a little groggy from his "nap". THANK YOU!!!

I went to this vet yesterday for my baby who is having horrible allergy issues and wow! They were amazing. I was worried about being judged because he had been scratching so badly the last week and half, but they made the whole appointment so comforting. For me and my fur baby. Our first experience with Oak Creek Small Animal Clinic was outstanding. We were looking for a Vet that has more staff and weekend hours down in the cottonwood area and it just wasn't working out. We got established with OCSAC and we are feeling pretty good about the move over to them. Dr. Kinney is very in tune and clearly knows her craft. Dr Kinney, Silver and the whole front desk staff wowed us today. Hospitality from the moment we entered. It was our first time and we luckily were able to get an appointment quickly, we were so happy they took us in! They listened to our concerns and got on to testing quickly, we got our diagnosis and we’re feeling pretty hopeful that our kitty has a long life ahead of him with some dietary and lifestyle changes. Stocked up on the food, and they had a ton of selections of flavors for prescription diets. They take care credit which is another plus. We really appreciate you all thanks for doing what you do!!!

I really wanted to enjoy this clinic, but unfortunately reception staff has deterred me from even coming. I set my dogs up weeks ago, and paid my exam deposit. I called today to ask what a rough estimate of what I am looking for may cost (so I can plan my monthly expenses), and was flat out told they won’t do that. I asked to cancel my appointment then, and was bluntly told my deposit was non refundable, which is not what I was told when booking, unless I cancelled with less that 48 hours notice. It is Tuesday, my appointment was supposed to be this Saturday. Then was again, just told “No”. Very bad vibes, as someone who has been working in a clinic for the last 3 years. Disappointing is an understatement.

Dr. Kinney and her staff are the best of the best! The moment you walk in you feel welcome but of course more important is the quality of care they provide for my beloved dogs. I went through two other vets before finding Oak Creek Small Animal Clinc and I am glad I found them. My last vet just pushed pills and I really did not get a diagnosis as to what was wrong. I at least got some answers from the new vet. I highly recommend this vet.

I have been a client with 6 different dogs over 5 years. Jeannine Kinney DVM is listed as the owner/operator who, with 2 ‘other vets’ provides medical, dental and rehab services. But the names of any vets other than Kinney’s do not appear on the website or any other materials associated with the Clinic. Really, Kinney is there but won’t see you, or return your calls, and there is a constantly changing cadre of other vets who remain nameless until you show up. If you ask to follow up with one of these vets, they don’t know their own schedules at the Clinic, so that’s not possible either. This is a formerly small office now terribly operated by Kinney’s husband as a 7 days/week open clinic. Lab results require constant phone calls, appointments for follow-up care cannot occur within 2 week periods, surgical follow-up is non-existent, inappropriate or directly in opposition to the printed materials handed to clients as they leave the premises. This is the laziest clinical practice and worst client services I have ever had the misfortune to experience.

I rarely review “businesses”, but felt compelled after our first experience at Oak Creek Small Animal Clinic. Everyone who works at the clinic from the woman who scheduled our appointment over the phone to the technicians in the clinic to Dr. Kinney truly love the animals in the clinic. They made our puppy and us feel like family even encouraging us to bring our 12 week old “Buddy” by for a treat and some pets when he doesn’t need to be seen. Buddy was mildly ill and we were able to get a same day appointment which probably would not have happened at our previous veterinary clinic in Texas. There were no worthless, dehumanizing, COVID mitigation measures in the clinic. The clinic itself is beautiful, clean, and in a great location with lots of glass and views of the Red Rocks. During our visit Dr. Kinney and the technicians were very friendly and professional. Dr. Kinney spent a lot of time with us and gave us a wealth of information. Our puppy responded quickly to the prescribed treatment which improved his and our lives. I was quite pleased that for routine vaccinations that aren’t legally required to be given by a vet I can make a tech appointment so the vaccination can be given for a nominal tech fee. Also, they have normal weekend hours so we won’t have to find some vet ER for our dog on a weekend when, at least from prior experience, most of the trouble happens. We couldn’t be happier!

We are so lucky to have the quality and availability of care Dr. Kinney offers here in our small town. To have a 24 hour emergency service is something that's usually only offered in bigger cities. Everyone is always friendly and helpful whenever we go.

So grateful to the the entire team at Oak Creek Small Animal Clinic. Everyone was so kind and compassionate, going above and beyond for us. We brought in our pet duck in urgent need of care, and although she may have been an unusual pet, the staff were all respectful and compassionate, and provided gentle care for our baby. Although we had to make the difficult choice to let her go, she (and our family) received compassionate, patient and kind care on what I could see was a really busy day in the clinic. I never felt rushed, and our girl was given the best care I could have asked for. They even made us prints of her little feet, which we will always treasure.

Dr. Kinney successfully removed a cancerous cyst from Finnley that was next to his eye. And she was able to keep his eye and lids. A very delicate procedure. I trust my pets to no one else.

PSA This last Friday was a very difficult day in our lives. It was time to put my sweet shih tzu of 15 years down. It was a terribly hard choice I wouldn't wish on anyone. It had to be Friday as she was really suffering. I called and i called and i called all the local vets. NO one was accommodating that i could find. This was even more upsetting. I kept hanging up on the uncompassionate people i called. Compassion was necessary to continue on. I finally reached Oak Creek Small animal hospital in West Sedona. Not only were they compassionate, but the Dr squeezed us in during a busy day to make sure my girl didn't have to suffer any longer. The whole staff was supportive and kind. What a difference! I can't thank them enough for that. Saying goodbye is hard enough but having to have to make sure it happens, is a terrible tough spot to be in. So if you answer phones for a vet (here in Cottonwood )Please, i beg you to find your compassion and be helpful to the suffering patient on the other side. It was appalling to be met w such cold and unhelpful people on such a difficult day. Oak Creek Small Animal hospital has my business furEVER more. They truly love our fur babies❤️
