I have bought many things at this store but never again. I bought some bermuda recently that was so bad our horses would not eat it. When I brought it back the clerk ask if I had opened the bail. I said yes, how else would I know that it was not fit to eat. Iwas told in no uncertain terms that they would not exchange or refund my money. AlthoughThey are the most convenient supplier to me I will never go back under any Circumstance. They have the worst attitude of any feed store in our state

I’ve been ordering hay delivery from SL for a couple of years now. Once in a blue moon I end up with a crummy batch, and have had zero issue with asking for a swap. The delivery drivers are careful and respectful. I try to prep for delivery by clearing hay storage area of open bales and opening the gate. This morning I woke up very late, jumped out of bed to prep, and to my surprise the delivery had already come and the driver had done all the work for me; thus inspiring me to finally write a review. I know there are plenty of options out there, but I have appreciated the courtesy, consistency, and overall experience I receive here.

Scottsdale Livestock has a great selection of chicken food. And they also carry emu food… bonus! The manager Jordan is always helpful. But the guys that load my hay (Shawn, Dylan, and Brandon) are the best part of my trip. They are so personable! If corporate is reading this… my friends and I miss seeing the clever signage. Bring it back! *see pics

This is some of the worst alfalfa hay I've ever paid for in my entire 45 years of horses. It has cotton and small branches through out the bales. To make matters worse it is dirty and has mold. It is so nasty that my horses are differing to the grass first. I called the feed store and let them know. I was told that I could only return whole bales as most people would I opened much of the bales hoping things would get better and trying my best to pick out the bad and feed what i could so now i have no "unopened" bales to return. I was also told they were unable to get new hay delivered to me until Wednesday. I asked if anyone else had reported bad hay and she said yes there was cotton reported no mold no branches no dirt. She informed me that the horses would eat around it, I don't know about others bit I have never trusted my horses not to eat ANYTHING. I explained I could not make a trip on my own as I had no one to assist me in unloading the hay. I was then told they would speak with the delivery persons and do there best to take care of me. I was told that I would receive a call back which never happened. Needless to say my experience is horrible customer service and worse yet simply the worst hay ever!

I bought several bags of feed and items and spent about $175. The bag of Safe Choice Mare and Foal was crawling with grain beetles. Per their policy, I brought the bag back the next day with the receipt to exchange and try another. They wouldn't exchange and told me to put it outside and basically hope they died. Really guys? You wouldn't even try to exchange an infested bag of feed according to your own posted return policy? Stupid move, guys. I'll do my best to spend the thousands of dollars on feed annually, elsewhere.

This is my absolutely favorite feed store.I always find what I need for my herd of horses.Scottsdale Livestock always has strong men to load heavy purchases. I have been to other feed stores where staff consists of 90-100 pound girls who are expected to load, which leaves me to load it myself (I'm relatively strong, but at 135 lbs, wrestling with/lifting numerous 80 lb bags is a challenge).Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't ask for more.Note to owners of the store, I hope you're paying these people well, they deserve it.

They shorted me a bale of hay and I took off to Flagstaff. When I realized their error and told them, they did not even apologize or offer to compensate me for the I convenience of going all the way back. They made an excuse for their mistake.

LivestockA great place does happen with great employees, thank you Kayla and Emily. They were so kind to put me in the right direction and answer all my questions. This place has a little bit of everything. You need something for a horse, dog, duck, chicken, turtles and other livestock. They also carry hay and straw.I WOULD RECOMMEND.

Got here few minutes before 5 PM when they close I’ll need it to easy to get items off of the shelf deworming for my horses. The young gentleman walked up to the car before we even got out and said our system is already off-line you’ll have to come back on Monday whatever happened to the customer is always right? Whatever happened to helping out your customers? There are plenty of other feed stores that I’m going to be using from now on!

Really great service. We come here to buy hay for our domestic bunny. The rabbit and our guinea pigs LOVE this hay. It is much better quality than the hay from the pet stores with less dust and broken pieces. You can buy it in larger quantities but we just get a trash bag full every month.

Beware. Don’t leave your card number with them. Be sure they destroy it after you give them a one time use. Beware double charge. Highest prices on bags feed in area. If you tell them you know they are highest they will lower price but won’t volunteer to do so. Mass confusion. Nasty attitude. Poor business ability. Watch quality of hay. Otherwise good luck.

Been doing business here for many yrs. Loved the staff inside and delivery guys when needed. They always have things stacked how id needed them. Staff always happy and polite until TODAY. Person ive never encoutered before made it clear she didnt want our business. I felt she was rude condescending, disrespecting to me. I dont offend easy. 4 of us within less than 1/4MILE AREA of horse property were using scottsdale feed. Thought they could save gas deliver all at once. Ask if she would only chg one delivery fee. I know bill would be over 500$ for free delivery but thought one fee which i agree is sm fee would be a nice gesture. She told me " i dont if your right next door" we will charge each of u a fee unless your bill is 500$. If it over 100ft you pay delivery. Now its not the 15$ i dont mind paying it fair price. But how she spoke to me is NOT acceptable. I support local businesses . There are many some closer but was always treated well good product fair prices. NOT going back and i know she doesnt care. I will shop where im treated as i treat them. Left without what i needed went elsewhere to another local business. And scottsdale had huge price increase 14% just on pellets. I will miss the helpful fun employess but the other places have them too.

I don't own any livestock, but they helped me satisfactorily with some straw bails so my son could shoot a bow and arrow with a safe backdrop. Friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend.

Buy all our Rabbit Rescue hay from them. Product is sometimes hit and miss, meaning nice long hay which the bunnies love or short choppy hay which they live with but don't really like. People are friendly and prices are OK.

40 lbs. Bales of timothy,orchard and grass. Mostly grass. 18 per bale. Never again.Alfalfa a month ago had cotton throughout. Large sticks/branches and cotton. Horrible stuff. May have changed their ways, I hope.
