I just gotta say, look out for puppies with parvovirus coming from here.... Bought a puppy, bought the vaccine shots from here also and our little Shepherd lab mix ended up with parvo anyway... Also have seen some puppies for sale here later on that were very lethargic looking. I'm not trying to make you guys look bad but I've heard of and personally had bad experiences with animals from here.

Safford Feed and Pet Supplies is RINGWORM INFESTED!!Do not purchase any animal from here unless you possibly want your house, family and other pets infected with ringworm.I adopted a kitten on 6/15 and noticed THE SAME DAY that he had a weird scab near his eye. Within days he had lost most of the hair on his face and had multiple other scabs break out. I took him to the vet where they diagnosed him with ringworm. Ringworm is a highly contagious fungal infection that can be transferred to other animals and humans. I have two dogs who may be infected; and myself, husband and 11 MONTH OLD INFANT COULD HAVE IT TOO!!! I even have a pet bird that could possibly have it. I also brought the kitten to my parents house where they have two dogs, a cat and 3 humans living. So they may be dealing with this nightmare now too!I am beyond angry and upset. Ringworm can live in the environment for 18 months, YES 18 MONTHS!!! The kitten now has to be quarantined in a cage for six weeks minimum during treatment so that he is not constantly spreading the ringworm spors around my house to infect himself or anyone else in the future. Treatment for it is daily oral medication, a bath with special shampoo 3x a week, as well as ointment applied to the scabs 3x a DAY. Multiply that by 4 animals, a child and two adults. RIDICULOUS. The cat is miserable from being alone, in pain and uncomfortable. He doesn’t understand why he is suddenly in solitary. The incubation period from the time you are infected until symptoms show is 10-14 days. So my infant and rest of my family and animals may still develop lesions that will burn and itch and will take weeks to clear up!! I have also spent days disinfecting every nook and cranny in my home with bleach, vacuuming and vigorous scrubbing. I have HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS in vet bills. This is unacceptable from a pet store. If the kitten I brought home has ringworm I’d guess that every animal (and maybe the humans) in the store have it too because it is so contagious. When an animal has ringworm they are constantly shedding it off into their environment which means the floor, walls, cages, items for sale, animal food etc has been contaminated.I called the pet store and “Harley” told me there is nothing they can do for me and offered “dewormer” which isn’t even remotely related to treating ringworm. She said to call back in a few days to speak with a manager and I intend to. This is completely unacceptable and I demand this is fixed!! I should be reimbursed for the vet bills. At the very least the Safford Feed & Pet Supply store needs to provide veterinary care and treatment for every animal that is infected as well as decontaminate their entire store. How many more people are buying pets or supplies from here, only to go through the same nightmare I am now going through!?
