Called in and spoke to Victor. Victor was great from the phone call to when I arrived. You could tell he really cared about the animals. He helped me get Spot who is perfect. There was also a girl in there taking pictures of a little dog called Sneezy. She was very nice and could tell she loved the animals. I had a great experience!

Our curious cat anchovy got out of our home late one night. I think he was chased by a coyote to a house down the street. The neighbor had him picked up by animal control. With a saving grace my other neighbor saw the post on nextdoor. Which is how we tracked him down. We got our boy back 4 days after he vanished. When I picked him up he was well cared for and happy to see us. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great experience. Every staff member I interacted with on my 3 visits was very helpful & friendly. Everyone was patient as I saw my dog three separate times to be sure of our fit. They are trying hard in what I imagine is a tough profession.

3 months ago we went to Humane Society to inquire via phone about a dog who was in the newspaper. We then scheduled an appointment and were greeted warmly and were given a tour. The grounds and all dogs were clean n well taken care of, the entire facility was clean and well up to date, painted. We ended adopting Panda whom we kept his name Thank you for a wonderful experience. God Bless everyone n all the animals you shelter. Tory n Caroline n Panda

We love our sweet and gentle new girl! Aspen (known as Notus at the shelter) is settling in nicely with her brother, Finn. She is just what we were looking for in a companion for him. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind! Thank you Yavapai Humane Society! We couldn't be happier! 💖🐾

Very caring and tender hearted, When I took our family dog there. He had to be put down to en his suffering. Bubba was at least 15y\o and for a Labrador that's old. Anyways yeah the fee was only 50. And if you can't afford it they can still help you. I wouldn't go anywhere else they really care.

Took my elderly mother to go look at dogs she recently lost hers to cancer.Was informed we were not allowed to walked kennels and needed to be supervised.Was told we could make an appointment over a week out if we wanted.There was 4 employees up front sitting on theirs back sides just talking to each other and having a good time.Thanks we will just get a dog from a breeder. Continue being too busy to show us dogs as the gentleman told us he was.

Was dealing with a dog aggressive dog & was ready to surrender him when training was suggested. I decided to try it out. Turns out, the behaviors I was letting him get away with is what was causing the problems. Basic training made his & my relationship improved & showed me how to be the boss instead letting him run all over me. Keith & the other behavior team all worked together & worked with my son & I to help us keep our dog. They gave us the tools to work on with our dog to improve his behavior. We didn't even adopt him from there! You HAVE to be willing to put in the work, it's not an easy task. To me & my family it's a miracle.

These guys were exceptionally nice, my Son-in-law and granddog We're in an accident on I 17 My Son-in-law was taken to Flagstaff. No one knew where are my granddog went. I drove to all the Humane societies to search for him. Yavapai humane society not only searched their facility, they also called around to find out where our boy was......off to prescott we went. Never would I have thought he'd be so far.I'm very very very greatful for the help & also helping so hard for lost pit. We haven't found many people like that.Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Your appreciated!

Yavapai Humane Society and personnel were great and caring! We got a great 13 month old Aussie Cattle Dog named Toby!! Toby was a loving and caring pup who brought so much joy to my Wife and I. UNFORTUNATELY, we had to take him back due to unforseen circumstances, NONE of which were Toby's fault!! They let me check on him every couple days to see how he was doing. When I found out that he was adopted I was happy for him, but it broke my heart! He will NEVER be forgotten and ALWAYS be in my heart!

They were a little understaffed but everyone was friendly. All the dogs seemed in good health including the newest addition to my family (except the loose/popped stitches from his neutering). He was a stray that has quickly become our shadows and my two little girls side kick.

I have adopted many dogs here over the years. The last puppy I adopted had distemper (she’d been vaccinated and tested, but got it in the window between vaccination and being safe). The humane society was so supportive. When I found a dog on the streets of Phoenix they offered to do all her shots and spay her.I love these folks.

They do a great job trying to find homes for animals BUT you have to make an appointment to see an animal then they adopt that animal out to someone else before your appointment. Go back to allowing people to come during operating hours to look through the kennels. So disappointed they did this to us. Will not go back. EVER!

Wanted to come in and potentially adopt a cat. Found out you need to make an appointment and they are about two days out. I guess they don't really want to adopt out pets. Happened to be in the area on way home to North Phoenix, could have saved a life and adopted today. All of our pets have been rescues and never needed an appointment.

This place is top notch. Staff is amazing. People always say to me I have a tuff job as a plumber. Nothing compares to what these amazing people do every day. Got a great dog there. Please go visit the animals even if not interested in taking one home.
