I purchased a very large glass The person that helped me was Jackie . She helped me find what Liked in a catalog. She even came out to my car and checked if an empty box that same size would fit in back of car. I had a neighbor bring me back and she brought my purchase out to there car. Jacqueline went above and beyond to satisfy me as a customer. She has great people skills and shows great pride in everything she does. Way to go .

If I could've given this place a negative 5 I definitely would have. Got off work ( construction) and had time to kill waiting for a friend to get out of the hospitalf. While I was comparing two screw guns for specs I was approached by a gal in her 50s who wasn't wearing the typical Red True Value costume. She asked if I needed help finding something and then told me she could escort me to the register. She was acting strangly and it occurred to me that she thought I was a shoplifter due to my dirty clothes. Whenever I turned the corner on another isle there was the True Value employee fallowing me staring suspiciously. It would be funny if it wasn't so insulting. A couple weeks later I came back to buy a little hardware for my job, and here comes the same gal, out of her spy room or whatever to ask me if I needed help finding something. Then basically did everything short of kicking me out after I found what I needed. I'll never return here, beyond all that, they are WAY overpriced, have too many employees who don't really know what you're talking about half the time. So I guess it's more akin to a cult than a hardware store. You better be " one of them" dressed correctly, have enough money to pay twice as much for the same item, and enjoy bumping into another red dressed clown around every corner. Forget that I'd rather spend my hard earned cash where they truly value customers, and don't act like a## holes.

The people who work here are incredibly friendly and extremely helpful. I took my longboard in to get a bolt that was missing on my trucks and ended up basically getting a full service on it. They lubed my bearings, tightened everything that was loose and directed me to a couple of other unrelated items I needed. These people were so kind to me!

Yesterday we went to True Value in Prescott. I found something that I really liked but the price on the shelf was totally different then the sticker price on the item. (And, FYI, we are not talking a dollar or two but $10.00) I went up to the register and asked if they could help me regarding the difference in the price. A woman grabbed the item out of my hand, walked over to the aisle where I got the item from, said someone had put it in the wrong spot and then proceeded to tell me that if I would have read the sticker, I would have seen the price. I explained to her that I do know how to read and the shelf price was definitely different. She stated “we don’t put sticker tags on items for no reason, they’re on there for you to read!!!” She then proceeded to tell me “It’s all the customers like you who take something off a shelf and put it in the wrong place that makes this happen” at which point she ripped the shelf price sticker off the shelf. I understand that people have bad days, however I was not the person that placed that item on the shelf; all I did was pick it up and take it to the register. Being a consumer, politeness makes a much better impression than being rude. Being rude is never okay in my book, but especially if you’re in sales. Needless to say they just lost a customer and I have definitely spread the word to friends and neighbors!!!!

We love our local True Value Hardware Store. Sometimes I don't know what we would do without them! It feels like a good ole local old fashioned store like when I was a kid. They have what other stores don't have and their customer service is excellent. They are usually not the lowest price in town, but their service is top notch! There is always somebody nearby to help you which is unlike other larger DIY stores.

Thank you Prescott True Value my experiences here have been wonderful. I personally want to thank Jackie/Jacky store manager for going above and beyond for me. The customer service here is excellent. Everyone is friendly, fast, professional and efficient. I understand why my dad loves this place. Also your prices are great too. Thank you for offering curbside pickup for my high risk family we are truly grateful.

I love true value store, the help in the back of the store goes above and beyond. I will never use the big box stores again, all I end up with when I go to the big box stores is a lot of frustration. Thank you true value for hiring such great employees.

My experience has been awesome! Both times I've been the workers are very knowledgeable and not only that but supportive and helpful. They ask questions about what I need and were even aware of the different attachments and such that I was going to need to complete my project. Not only that but the store is filled with so many things to look at and shop around. Prices are high and low just depending on what you need. But as far as I know they aren't to steep for being a small hardware store. Overall my experience and expectations were met with the customer service as well as product value and choices. Will go back for any odds and ends I'm looking for and will recommend. Oh by the pay There's a nice big parking lot to park and not crowded or stuffed in. Hope this helps.

Places like True Value are like a relic from a bygone era- and the Prescott area true value does not disappoint. It’s such a local, community feel everytime I come here. There’s always at least two to three gentlemen willing to help me out. In comparison to big box stores like Walmart (where you can’t find anyone to help you ever) it’s a joyous relief to have local hardware stores. This true value has so much neat stuff and friendly folks. 🙂

By far, the best service anywhere in our Quad-City area. Their prices are high. Their sales are great. Moreover, every salesperson goes out of their way to ensure you receive old-fashioned customer service. Most of their employees are very creative. They know how to fix most things. Susan (sp?), the owner, is one of the finest people I've ever met. As the store's primary leader, I can see why this True Value is so successful. FYI, I've lived here for 32 years as of (2022). To value is a local gem for the Prescott area. The carry a good supply of items meaning faucets fixtures stuff to this truly unique to this area. The employees are extremely helpful it is also a dog friendly shop. Have always had a great experience here my go to place for the weekends for oddball stuff.

I went here because I didn't want to drive out to home depot.The staff was friendly and VERY helpful like always.I had to return what I got because it didn't work for my application but that wasn't their fault.We were satisfied with the results.We recommend this place. You will pay more but sometimes it's worth it.

True Value is always my first stop for hardware for my business. I love them, they are so helpful! Such a unique store with wonderful kitchen and housewares, and full service hardware. Their outdoor shop is cute too! I'm here at least once a week ;-) Love TV. Support local!

Very large selection of local items, as well as ALL the traditional fare of the national chain. We have a summer home up in Prescott, and after all these years we do a LOT of maintenance they have nearly EVERYTHING that I need.

In addition to my own awful experience the other reviews would suggest this store has a consistent problem with customer service.I was asked by 5 different employees if I needed anything and had the impression they were following me. I'm guessing this store sees a lot of thieves?I personally called the manager after having a problem upfront and was written off. This is what got me. Even if nothing could be done the indifferent attitude toward my situation which was caused by HIS employees was infuriating. Please at least pretend to care...Also, Why is their rental section located in an old gas station next door?They couldn't give me a price on a rental because of this...They need some younger people at this store and need to replace the ancient indifferent store manager.It would have been very easy to fix my situation if they wanted to, but clearly they can't be bothered.

Updated review. The folks that work here are generally pretty knowledgeable, but it does vary and some are more helpful and nicer than others. A fairly typical hardware store, high prices but it's here and saves a trip across town.

I love this store! Best customer service, knowledgeable and respectful advice for all my home remodel projects, and all the tools and supplies I need. Great prices, and a wide variety of products. Sue helped me order a piece for my shower that the big plumbing supply in town had told me was impossible to find. Looking for just the right bolt or hardware? Ray will lead you right to it. Plumbing advice? Yep. Yard and gardening equipment? Brian is there to help. BBQ Grill gas and valves? Yep. Unique Housewares? Yep. This True Value is the very best!

They're well-stocked and have plenty of service help. They'd get five stars accepting that at the beginning of the they said you had to wear masks to come in the store and then they were selling masks for $25. That was a bit opportunistic for me.

Good store but they had no vermiculite as far as I could tell . I asked a old cat. He said if you don't see it over there then we don't have it . So they don't have vermiculite. But otherwise a great store with popcorn on Saturday.

Old school hardware store. In town location, may be a few dollars more here and there, but saves a trip to a big name cooperate store, halfway to PV. If you don't support the little guy, you wont have the option. They have nuts n bolts, paint, plumbing, power tools, lighting, random tools, home decor, weed eaters and lawn mowers. Pretty much everything a hardware store should have and more. I like the unique selection of sodas. Also the cast iron selection is amazing. Friendly service rounds out the experience, and the have a rewards program. $5 gift coupon on your birthday!

Kitchen wares are nice, but I'm really turned off by customers who think it's okay to bring their dogs into the store. Wish people would leave Rover and Fido at home so others could enjoy their shopping.

Went to true value looking for bolts found out they closed the bolts section to the public. Its now employees only. Waited around a while for help there was none to be had so I just left. for the life of me I can't figure out why the rest of the store is still open to the public literally every other aisle .but the bolts aisle is closed for social distancing.its bad enough their prices are higher than everyone else. I won't shop here again

Good place for quick trips.They usually have knowledgeable employees willing to help. Some of the older gentlemen can be a little gruff lol but that's sorta the fun!Has a small town feel with prices to match...meaning you pay more but the service is great!Best place for screws and bolts and stuff if you only need a few at a time.It also fun to just look around and see all the cool stuff they have.I ran in for a few curved blades and ended up getting a blade holder as well. It's a few bucks more than Amazon or home depo but that's ok, it's a fun store and way more local!
