Took small dog for grooming last week. They charged $80 which is outrageous. They even add a $6 hidden materials fee, which they claim is for cleaning the shears, etc. Well, that should be included with such a steep price.Never again. There are so many privately owned groomers who are better and cheaper.

I wish I remembered her name!One of the cashier's was so kind to spend a long period of time with us discussing possible causes and solutions for fish dying in our tank. No question was tested as annoying. Info was shared on our level.Thanks for always being a great source of animal supplies for our family's fish, cats, dogs, reptiles, and other small critters!

I was coming in to get some leopard gecko supplies, I asked for any substrate recommendations since they were “out” of the coco fiber, idk her name but a pretty rude lady asked me how I would care for it? Like I knew what I was doing and what to get but they snobbed around and keep asking personal things like I’m going to hurt an animal. Other younger guy is bit nicer, he kinda pressured me into get reptile carpet, which is horrible for them because there claws get stuck and it hurts them, tho he said he had one which is sad… The prices are crazy high and Amazon is a way better place. Next day I returned the carpet and got the coco substrate they never told me they had, said they were out and said that was different stuff? For some reason.The one good thing rlly is the cats, we have one from there and he’s lovely, was cheap as well, I believe it’s another company though.The animals look really skinny. The leopard geckos look so unhealthy and sad. I didn’t get mine here of course but I hope whoever is gives them good care. The mice are just treated like worthless pests which I keep as pets and rescue (not anymore due to health) but I know there feeder mice, it’s just sad knowing they treat them horrible even tho there sweet little things.I hope this place gets better, petsmart is WAY more expensive so I’d rather not go there

only thing I didn't like is my daughter was interested in a feret...she wanted to hold one to ser of she had an allergy to it as she does many animals. and was told no unless plan to buy. well that sucked!

I went to Frontier Village today had a blast! Shopping at 5 of the Stores including Ross, Home Depot, Harbor Freight and unfortunately Petco. I walked in and asked if they had scissors, specifically pet scissors. A middle age, unkempt, woman actually advised I had an attitude problem. She advised they didn’t have scissors and wanted to know what I needed them for. With my little Bichon/Poodle on a leash, I said to trim her up, she then suggested where they might be! I said that’s all I needed to know. She again stated, next time lose the attitude. I ignored the comment both times, my son came to my defense as this woman was so very rude! Her attire at best was shrugged and sloppy, her hair needed trimming more than my little dogs and her make up was running down her face. Perhaps I seemed to offset her demeanor because I was in a bit of shock at her appearance. When my son asked her, her name she refused, and said you can leave now next time lose the attitude. I had already advised on other employee who advised try another location or possibly on line.I looked at her a felt bad that she was thrust into the request for scissors and I advised her “We will never return to Petco again”! However, that employee seemed to earnestly want to help.The other who refuse to give her name actually flipped off my son with her left hand as we exited the store.The timing was 09/13/2023 at 5:08pm.

Super expensive and one of the staff was extremely rude about a fish. I probably would go elsewhere personally. I paid 118 dollars for something that would have cost 40 but time was of the essence being as how my cat is curious.

Went to Petco today to purchase some fish items and dog cookies. Walk in not even greeted. Get our items and went to get dog cookies. It was then told to us rather rudely by Michelle that we could not make our purchases as the registers were down. And if we wanted the items we would have to order online and do in store pick up so we do the online order. Sadly couldn’t order cookies. Then proceed to the register with the confirmation number. And once again by Michelle and some blonde haired lady were told rather rudely you have to wait for the order to come thru. The minute we walked in the door should have been told the registers were down. Would not have been a big deal if Michelle and the other cashier hadn’t been so rude. And this makes the third time Michelle has been rude to us. Really need to revisit on how to treat customers and revisit training on customer service skills. Not even sorry for the inconvenience or even thank you for shopping here. Next time we will go to PetSmart.

I bought three different items. Two of the items were advertised as buy two get one free. I assumed incorrectly that it I bought 1 package, the other was free, so I brought two of each of the advertised items to the checkout counter and the clerk rang both items (all four packages) up, charging me for all four items, but not suggesting that I had another two free packages that I could take with me. Hence, I ended up having to return to the store thinking I had been overcharged & not given the benefit of the two free packages, & the clerk pointed out that my assumption was incorrect and that it was up to me to know that I had two more free packages to take with me for the price of 4 packages. I expected at least that the clerk would have been courteous enough to suggest that I had paid for four total packages when checking out & that I had two additional free packages to my credit to take with me, but I had to return to the store with my purchased packages before the clerk volunteered that info.

Came in to get a hard shell kennel for my little puppy. I found exactly what I needed and I didn’t even have to put it together, very good. The cashier was helpful and friendly.

I want to start an aquarium, and spent about 10 to 15 minutes looking at all of the fish selections. Once I had made my choice(s), I continued to wait for a while hoping somebody would come over like when I was a child and ask if I needed assistance, or if I needed help getting a fish. Another 10 to 15 minutes had passed by before I decided to wander the store and look for an employee. Not only were none at the registers, but one was too busy restocking the shelves to help me. I would have been in and out of there and no more than 20 minutes if the employees here actually acted like they wanted to sell things, instead of just a paycheck. Instead I spent almost 45 minutes trying to spend about $20 on a couple fish and a live aquatic plant, to leave empty-handed because the employees didn't want to help. Now after leaving and reading the rest of the reviews that this location gets, the employees and the team here definitely need some training on customer service! I will find a different pet store to get what I need.

I gave a 3 because the lack of interest of the employees or them seeming to busy to even greet anyone. When majority are on their phones or act like they can't answer a question. I enjoy Petco because of the products they offer. Their customer service has suffered greatly and it shows.

Worst store to go to, do not go here!! The manager Michelle has no professionalism. After waiting for her to stop talking about personal things to another customer, she says you'll have to wait your turn rudely. No, I'll be right with you, or we are short handed. Only 2 people in the damn store, one being the cashier. Worst customer service and the wait of 30 minutes to be talked to like that!! Go down the street to the other name brand store, all around better customer service and no wait time!! This store is not worth it!!

I scheduled my dog grooming at least a month in advance and brought her in with up to date Vaccination records on November 15 at 1:15pm. I was asked if she has a heart murmur and I said , yes. Then I was told Petco does not do grooming in this case and sorry. This would be helpful to know from the beginning! You should notify under what circumstances Petco will not provide services. This situation was very inconvenient for me as I am handicapped myself. By the way Petsmart does groom her and I will be scheduling an appointment with them. Sincerely, Louise Schemenauer.

My fiancé and I had come in 40 minutes before close. We did our shopping quickly, in which we only bought a cat harness and three little collar name tags (for said cats). After checkout (which both cashiers were very kind), we went to the tag engraving machine to put our cats names down. It was a few minutes after close as we finished our last tag, and the cashiers were super nice and reassuring that we didn’t need to rush. Overall an awesome experience

Cashier was fine but the managers always seem to be in a bad mood. Also, I’ve noticed that the management at this location removes manufacturer coupon stickers from their product. I guess they don’t want people taking advantage of deals that the manufacturers are offering to the customers- who knows!

It was quick. A young man helped me find the item I needed. He was a great help. The cashier was very engaging and pleasant. It ended my experience on a good note. As usualOn another note. I love Petco. My "baby" has been going to Petco for 9 years. I have had mostly good experiences, interactions, and rapports with store associates. Even getting an issue solved not regarding pet items has still been on good note. Thank you Petco across the board for being a very good company.

Went in for some Frontline for my dogs. The gentleman that helped me was extremely. The atmosphere of the store was great as it always is when I go into this store. When I went to the checkout stand I noticed some little ice cream things for dogs and was looking at it and the cashier and I were talking about it and she actually swayed me on which direction to go and I bought it. Waiter upsell cashier!! But I do love this store it's my story regularly go to.

I don’t know if you’re familiar with bullterriers, they are the clowns of the dog world. Extremely stubborn, almost impossible to train. At least for me And if they’re not having fun, they’re not going do what you want. I spoke with Ashley, at Petco this afternoon. I was talking to her about my dog gator, who is ignoring everything I told him. She told me she was the dog trainer , I explain to her the problem I have with gator. She told me she was the dog trainer at Petco and I told her I tried going to a training class with gator before, and all he wanted to do was playing, and wouldn’t pay attention. She took his leash, and within minutes she had him setting, staying, and she had his full attention! I am definitely looking into the classes that she offers, I don’t live locally, so I’m not sure I’m going to be able to do it but she has given me hope for the future with gator. She’s amazing.

They were down a groomer and I went in for a walk-in nail trim, but said they wouldn’t be able to do it. I told them I’d just come down off the mountain from work to go to them because of the advertised walk-in nail trim and they made an exception. Took my 10 yo lab/hound in and did it so quickly! Was super grateful and they did an awesome job.

Sad day today. We bought a fish from petco and it seems to introduce ich to the other fish we already have. We have 3 fishes. I suppose I trusted putting the new fish in the tank without quarantining it for few days. I got it from petco so i didn't think it will have parasites.

My purchase of food and toys was fine, but my experience with the grooming services was terrible. I tried to schedule a nail trim on the Petco app, but the app wouldn’t let me schedule the appointment and said nail trims are done on a walk-in basis. When I arrived at Petco there were no dogs in the grooming salon, so I was optimistic that I’d be able to get my dog’s nails trimmed without waiting too long. There was a sign on the counter that said the groomer had gone to the bathroom, so I waited. After 10 minutes, I asked a staff member for help and was told the groomer would be paged to come help me. After another 5 minutes of waiting, the groomer finally showed up. She said she was expecting a dog to arrive “soon” for grooming, and said I could schedule an appointment to come back later that afternoon or the next day. I was so frustrated after having the app tell me I couldn’t schedule a nail trim and had to do it as a walk in, then having to wait that long for the groomer to show up just to tell me I had to schedule an appointment, when she could have been trimming my dog’s nails instead of hiding in the bathroom. I just walked out and will take my dog somewhere else for grooming after experiencing this poor service at Petco.
