If you like paying $11.79 for a box of Corn Flakes or Corn Pops this is the place for you. I am floored someone thinks this price point is reasonable and appropriate. I get charging somewhat higher prices for the convenience but most items I looked at are 2-3 times Payson prices. I feel bad for locals who may not be able to shop alternatives. Do yourself a huge favor and bring groceries for your stay in Pine.

Excellent variety, quality, and service! The manager is extremely friendly and helpful. She went out of her way to help us out as we are hiking the Arizona Trail. I highly recommend the Ponderosa Market.

This market used to be a favorite stop on our way to Happy Jack. Not any more the "fresh" produce is not fresh and the amazing quality of the beef we were able to purchase here is no longer available. Since it was sold, it has been progressively gone downhil. I feel for the locals that used to shop here, it is no longer an option.

They had regular groceries, high end items, and homemade food in a deli/take-out area. We got a few essentials as well as some chicken strips, homemade potato salad (very good), and smoked ribs. Had a picnic in the woods during a day trip. Store was a nice find. Employees were very personable as well.

Was just in this week. The store is very well stocked and very clean. The staff seem nice. Prices on *most* items are reasonable considering you are also paying for convenience in a very small town. However, the prices are all over the place. Two boxes of cereal, the exact same size, are either $5 or $12. Folgers coffee is $22. Cookies (same size package) are either $4 or $8. Very little fresh produce available and meat is near or past the expiration date.Perishable items are surprisingly expensive considering they will be thrown away if not sold. Especially when you can buy fresh local eggs for cheap. Many items are Great Value brand, obviously purchased at Walmart, marked up 2-3x regular cost and resold. Unsure of the legality of this. Also, be careful the items you purchase ring up what they are posted as. This is a known problem at this store - items marked at one price and ringing up significantly more expensive. THIS is actually illegal and should be reported if you encounter this.

Staff was super nice and the selection was fantastic! Prices were very reasonable- honestly this is way better than any chain grocery store I’ve ever been to

One star because I can't give zero. Mice running around. They're slightly if not fully racist. I'm in one section of the store and am followed and watched. Go to another section and it's the same thing. Some coincidence, huh? Also, the convenience fee. Paid over ten dollars more for product than I would anywhere else. I strongly recommend you make the 15-20min drive to the next town to do your shopping.

This place is terrible, gone downhill under new ownership. They’re out of everything all the time and they shrug it off. Their produce is unripe or spoiled and the food on the shelves is expired but you’ll pay a premium. They don’t have competition so they clearly don’t care. They use Bashas’ produce bags, does Bashas own this place?

Love this little Market 💕! It has everything needed for a delicious 🤤 dinner. Grilled steak 🥩, mashed potatoes, grilled mushrooms and gravy the whole nine yards. Oh did I mention a a nice drink called Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine (cherry 🍒) plus the workers are always wonderful to talk to.

Used to be a good market, new owners have destroyed it. Food that’s expired, wilted, moldy vegetables and extremely overpriced. Go to Payson, it’s not that far!

Staff was so sweet. Great service. Not fond of the prices, but prevents me from having to drive 30 minutes into Payson for what I need... so worth it definitely.

Nice and clean. Kayleigh was exceptional. She was courteous and respectful. I ran out of an important item and called before I made the trip to Pine. She found what I was looking for and set them aside. I watched as she helped others and was so impressed to have such a nice and friendly young woman. In this moment in time when there is so much anger and hate.

Wonderful home made pies. Every flavor I've had is delicious. They have quite the variety of home made breads as well. They have very helpful employees and a good selection of goods for such a small town store. They sure are horrible for my waistline but helpful to my taste buds. I like to stop every time I swing through town which is never enough.

This store resembles a mini Walmart except there are no clothes and just food. Also, the produce selection is very small and limited. The nice thing though is they do have another section just for Farmers Market produce. What they would have there in the Farmers Market section would just be based on what is in season, but at least you know you are getting fresh from the farm food. They also had homemade pies- yum. There's also frozen meat and frozen meals that you can microwave. However the selection was just very limited. In some areas, it looked like things were out of stock. For example for one freezer, it was empty. Most of the food though still was pretty traditional stuff that you can find in other chain grocery stores. If you want more authentic and local foods, just go to the Farmers Market down the parking lot. In the meantime, if you need to stock up on both items or get some lower priced food to go to keep you full as you explore Payson, this store is the spot.

This little jewel has saved me countless trips to town, and between the gas and time, it's worth the extra cost. The market has most staple items, and their deli is a great place to stop for chicken fingers and pot pie!

The staff was super friendly the shelves had stuff on them. And i didnt have to drive to payson to get rice. They have all those ingredients you forgot to get and more. We got a watermelon a while back that was SO GOOD fresh sweet and juicy. Love this little supermarket. 🤩 ill be back. Probably more times then im willing to admit because itll probably be because I forgot butter or something. Also. Did i mention the coffee station and the BAKERY. 😍 YUM!

It’s got what you need… probably. Maybe. Not a huge selection, but emphasis on critical groceries and tide-you-over type purchases. If you need a full on grocery trip, better to plan ahead and make the 20 minute drive down to Payson for price and selection. Grateful to have a proximal local option.

Food was great! Waitress was awesome! Everytime we go here they always have a live band, which is nice, but the volume could be much lower so people can talk without screaming a cross the table.

Great little store located in Pine. Not the cheapest prices but they'll have what you need. We forgot a few things when visiting a cabin in Strawberry so they saved our dinner. We also picked up some fresh banana bread and some hot chocolate which were both delicious.

Great people, overly high prices, people that are allowed to purchase hot food should be able to get their hot food, some people don't have the means to cook, let them get a hot meal.

Great Market! They carry ample supply of all your food and hygiene needs, sparing people the ordeal of having to drive to Payson's Walmart. The staff is wonderful!! Patient, kind, helpful, and generous. There is a deli counter for hot foods like fried chicken and steak fries, corndogs and bean/ cheese burritos. Food is great. Sells alcohol. Some giftshop type tourist items. SPOTLESS RESTROOMS. Plus they take ebt, the only other "main" store is the chevron heading towards Strawberry and they do NOT accept ebt.

Ponderosa market is a little high priced on their items. What bothers me most is that they are selling poison cigarettes. Laced cigarettes, tobacco and the employees are getting paid to sell this product to me. It's all about money and lies. The truth will be known. Tyson Roth, lamonica pena, Patrick brantner will be prosecuted. I wish no harm to the employees of Ponderosa.
