The prices here are a little high, but you’re getting much better quality than you would from a big box pet store. I have bought plants, fish, and hard scape from The Ocean Floor. The fish are all very well cared for and they have a huge variety. I have received so much good advice, and the employees are always so willing to help educate or troubleshoot. They will test your water for you if you do not have a master test kit, which is so nice. Kids really enjoy visiting as well! I got most of what is in my most recent tank from them

This place is amazing! They have an array of fish to choose from! I got 3 kuhli loaches from the place, and they’ve all been doing great! They were definitely healthier than the one I got from petco, which didn’t make it. It’s nice to see a fish store that keeps fish in good condition. I plan on coming back to get some of their black ghost knife fish! I can’t wait

This place is amazing! Located just a block off the freeway. They have everything you could possibly need for aquatic and aquarium builds. This place from the outside looks small but the second you walk in you're blown away by the vast variety of items they have. Fish variety are outstanding from young Bala sharks to mature one. Very rare shrimp and amazing goldfish selection! The list goes on. If you're considering making the drive out here it is well worth the drive. Also check out the Pizza A Metro across the street for a little lunch as they are amazing as well! Will be returning here for all our aquatic needs!

They have some nice employees, however, don't trust all of them! I have spent plenty of money on the fresh water fish and supplies recently most of what we bought didn't even live until we got home. Then put what was still alive in a perfect tank and immediately things started dying. I went back and they tested my water and told me the only thing to fix the nitrites was to add a medicine made for it. I have had plenty of fish never heard of this before so we bought it. I asked them if I should do a water change and they said no. He said he had "medicine" to add to the tank I used like he told me and the water tested even worse. There are no ingredients on the medicine but if you look it up it says nothing about the problem we had and was used in saltwater tanks. More interested in selling useless things then telling the truth.

Joe the Manager was really nice and didn't mind helping me with my rock purchase.... I will be back...And the live koi stream was pretty..The store was clean and very nicely set up..

I always love going here. Not only is their inventory for fresh and salt water fish incredible, but in the 45 min we were there, we were asked by 3 different staff members if we were finding everything OK or is there anything they could help us with. 3!!!!! Very impressive AND hard to find nowadays. One other note...I have discus fish. 30 of them. And multiple aquariums. At every other fish or pet store I've been to, I cringe every time I see discus because inevitably, I will find fault with their water conditions. Discus are gorgeous, but also have different needs in temperature, pH and water quality then most fish. The Ocean Floor has discus, and they look fine. Even good. I'll be back!!

Love, love this store. Amazing variety of fish, coral, and anything else that goes in freshwater or saltwater tanks.The only negative is no return policy. If I pay $100. for a fish, and it dies the next day (and it's not any fault of my tank or handling) I'm not spending that kind of money here.

Bought a lot of fish at an overpriced price!! Purchased a white angle fish that died that same evening. I bought 2 black one and 1 white and the white one didn’t even live for a day!! I brought the fish home and placed it into the tank, didn’t move for all whole the rest were enjoying the tank!! Few hours later it was dead in a corner. I called Ocean floor to see what they could do and the told me to freeze the fish and bring in a sample of my water. I told them that the fish was not right and it wasn’t the waters fault nor mine. They gave me a bad fish and want to give half of what i paid for!! NEVER purchasing anything from here again!! NOR SHOULD YOU!!!!

This place does not disappoint! The store is large and spacious. The tanks are clean and the fish seem very healthy. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I recommend visiting even if to just view all the fish!

We have purchased any fish from here. The most recent experience was not very good. Maybe because we were there so close to closing time. It felt very rushed and they just sold us whatever to get us to leave. We are new to salt water and wanted to make sure we were not getting any fish that would not go well together. After spending over $100 we got home we found out they were not all compatible. We took back a damsel after the other two had passed away shortly after arriving home. We were not offered a store credit or any type of refund. They have a wide variety of fish but would recommend not shopping close to closing time.

First time coming to this place and I loved it! They had an amazing selection between salt water and fresh water wishes! I was surprised at how big this facility is. They are also doing an amazing! Job at social distancing by requiring face masks to be worn at all times and only allowing a certain amount of people in at a time. I HIGHLY recommend anyone to come here and check it out!

The coral and fish looked extremely unhealthy and most were dead/dying. They also gave me bad advice and said I could copper dose my reef tank. I can’t believe this place is still open. This will unfortunately be my first and last time in this store. Goodbye and good riddance.

I accidentally brought 2 hermit crabs home with me after collecting some seashells during low tide. I couldn't take care of them and I didn't want them to die! So I called them up and they were happy to let them live there rent free, as a marine aquarium would have set me back hundreds of dollars and lots of time. Thank you guys very much!

I’ve purchased fish here on three different occasions. Every single time, the fish were sick. I figured it was bad luck the first two times. Nope! I can assure you it’s not my fish tanks either. I think I’d know if my established tank had ick. They have a great variety of fish, but they just get them, dump them in tanks, and then sell them immediately. I’ve seen deformed fish in their tanks, they clearly don’t stick to trusted breeders. The few ember tetras that survived are still very very pale after a year compared to a reputable place I purchased some from. Great for food and overpriced everything. Don’t buy the fish.

We are so excited to find a reputable local fish store. They have a huge stock of aquariums, fish, and equipment. (By the way, we have 4 baby Oscars which everyone knows are just water puppies, so they need a lot of room.) They even will install a large tank for you. Oscar and Jamison helped us out with the specifics of our tank needs, including size (180 gallon), and filtration (45 gallon sump). Within a week we got the tank completely installed. Ramon and Ryan our installers called ahead, showed up on time. Was courteous, clean and very professional. They were very informative and explained what they were doing during the entire install. I highly recommend this fish store

Amazing store! I’m new to all of this so it was a little overwhelming, but the girl that helped me was really nice. I enjoyed walking around for about a half hour just checking out all of the cool setups and animals available. I found most of what I needed and didn’t spend a fortune. I’ll definitely be back!

Wow what a cool place. Im new to having a fish tank and when i came here Ryan answered ALL my questions and gave me some solid advice i hadn't considered before. HUGE selection of fish and everything you could possibly need for them. ( even medically) also they have a large selection of tanks. Comming here is truely an experience you'll enjoy. 😁👍🏻

By far the biggest selection of aquarium products I have found in Arizona. They also send out weekly specials which definitely come in handy and the staff is always friendly and ready to help. I definitely recommend you come check this place out even if it's just to look around.

The gentleman that helped us was amazing! Super knowledgeable and took us around to get what we needed to upgrade our fish tank filter. The selection there definitely outranks your local chain pet store that's for sure. It can be pricey depending on what you're looking for. They have bulk deals for fish and they even have deals on plants, like buy 2 get 1 free. Will definitely get all my aquatic and semi aquatic plants here going forward. The only negative is the parking is tight and very small, but luckily so far we've managed to find 1 or 2 empty spots each time we've gone.
