They took great care of our two big dogs, Bailey & Kayla Marie. The staff are very attentive and handle all levels of exuberance well. The groomer did an excellent job on our husky mix! Puppers would love to go back!

Had a great experience with Second Home Pet Resort. I boarded my 11 month old Catahoula puppy and my 3 year old Great-Dane mix rescue for my wedding day. I was super nervous because my rescue has severe anxiety and can be a little intense. But it was clear my pups were in good hands.The facility is very clean and organized. The staff was very professional and understanding of my concerns. They listened and followed my instructions and requests. I was able to enjoy my wedding day knowing my pups were well taken care of. I will certainly return in the future.

We have boarded our pets here a few times. The lobby is large and a separate door for entrance and exit so there isn’t any dogs going in or out the same door. The people in the lobby are quick to call out to the people in the back to get your dogs in their suites. You can take a tour of the facility if you make arrangements to do so. We did this before we boarded our dogs. They have two large yards and a play pool for the pets. You can also suggest group play or day care or specify that your pets will be the only ones in the outside area if you have a dog that’s reactive. They do offer a 15 minute snuggle session for a few extra dollars, they take your pet into a room with a sofa and they get some one on one snuggles with the staff. We have had no issues the few times we have boarded our dogs there..although be sure to make a reservation as they can fill up quickly, especially over a holiday.

Such an amazing experience! We had our puppy in for her first hair cut and they did awesome with her. I was prepared for a not a great hair cut since she is a puppy and takes a while for her to understand it. But her cut was perfect and she looks amazing! My Golden Doodle is very happy and loved being there. The communication and staff was also outstanding! She also left with a matching flower on her collar! :) Thank you!!

Great place! They always take care of our two doggies and I love the option to add activities for them and receive a report card. Front desk staff is always lovely and you can tell they love animals.When we were out of town for a week one of my dogs had some diarrhea issues and they called me every day to update me and keep me informed on how she was doing. We’ve tried a couple boarding places in Phoenix, but this is the one! We will always be taking our dogs here

Our pets are like children to us so when we needed to find a place to stay, the name Second Home Pet Resort really resonated with us. When we drove up to take a tour, it was literally like driving up to a hotel to check in. The Elite Suite was more than enough space for our dogs to room together, plus it was connected to an outside patio that they could also enjoy.They were given play time every day or just the 4 of them outside in the spacious yard for that even had a water feature. They also had cuddle time in a cozy room either one of the staff members to love on them.Our English bulldog, Mollie, is 9 yrs old and is very skittish of both people and other dogs so when I saw pictures of her enjoying their stay, I KNEW we found the right fit.The staff was incredibly friendly, very knowledgeable about our breeds and the affect heat has on them and they truly cared for our dogs! We got pictures every day and I'm so glad we trusted Second Home Pet Resort with our fur babies, they received excellent care!

This was the longest we have ever needed to leave our dog while we were out of town and it was the best experience yet! All of the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our pup Roo can get very anxious and nervous in new surroundings and he was so healthy and happy when we picked him up. :) They gave us a detailed update about his stay upon pickup and he had daily one-on-one playtimes. I would highly recommend this facility!

I used to bring my dog here for the indoor/outdoor room and he loved it. He's used to having free access at home with his doggy door. Unfortunately, the last time we brought him there a few years back, he got very sick and almost died. I eventually found a tick while he was in an emergency hospital and he had tick fever. He spent over a week in the hospital, lost almost half his weight, and eventually had a miraculous recovery after spending nearly $20k at the hospital. I really wish I could bring him back to Second Home because he loved it so much, but I'm afraid if he got a tick again, he wouldn't survive at his age. He's never had a tick before or since his stay there, so we've been very fortunate. I wish I could find another place that would have this type of accommodation and would accept him at his age. Another place he's stayed before like this one on Lincoln would not take him anymore because he is 17 now. :(

I hate to have to board my cat, but when I do, Second Home Pet Resort is my favorite choice. They take great care of him and administer his prescriptions when needed. Highly recommend for any pet!

My dog absolutely loves his stays here and the staff is nothing but wonderful with him. He especially loves water park play time. I especially enjoy the little report cards they send when your dog does an activity. It’s clear the staff cares deeply for all the animals in their care. I highly recommend boarding your dog here.

Second Home takes excellent care of my cat. Now I don’t want to risk trying a new,closer place, even though I have to drive 20 minutes each way and my cat howls pitifully the whole time. (It’s the only bad part of the experience.)It’s always the same staff working front desk, I know them all, and I’ve been going there at least a year. Low turnover, clearly. How they treat employees says a lot about how they might treat your pet. And they always recognize my cat immediately and welcome him. There are even employees who get excited when they hear he’s in house. A pet-lover’s paradise.

They are outstanding at dealing with all kinds of pets. My dogs are brother and sister. Brother is extremely protective of sister, but they have very knowledgeable people who listen to what you have to say and have their own methods of handling dogs with these issues. I know they are in good hands if they are there for a grooming appointment or staying there for boarding.

He had to leave my two rotties here for 2 weeks while on vacation. It was their first time being boarded, so I was a little apprehensive, but they were well taken care of . I emailed them during our trip to set up the Webcam periodically so I could see them it worked well, and it was good to see our fur babies. My son stopped over to see them as well, and they were very accommodating. I highly recommend this very clean facility with caring employees. They do a great job and seem to really care about your pets well-being and adjustment to being in a boarding facility. Only dogs who are approved in their daycare program socialize with each other and dogs who haven't are kept separately . I hope to get mine into daycare so they can really enjoy this great pet resort fully. We will be back.

Brought our dogs here after was recommended by a friend. We were on a long road trip and needed a place to board them just for the night. They were amazing with getting us set up as new customers. I loved that they were thorough with vaccine records so we know our dogs aren’t being exposed to other dogs without proper vaxx.We got pictures and updates during the stay. I.

They take very good care of my dog here! We don’t leave our dog often, mostly because it adds $50+ per night to our total vacation budget, but sometimes we really can’t take him with us. Second Home has staff that clearly all really love dogs. They’re always happy to greet him and at pickup they always have such sweet things to say about our boy. They also offer a variety of add-ons that make us feel better about leaving him behind and going on vacation. Again depending on the budget, we can choose from a lower-cost treat and cuddle time each night to a slightly higher cost outdoor play time session.

My first impression. Groomer, Danelle, gave my canine a great cut. He's a new rescue and has shown some behavioral issues with our regular groomer and vet. Danelle reported that he behaved perfectly. That speaks volumes about her. Secondly, I was slightly set back by the front desk. I understand that this is a boarding facility which is a much different environment than a grooming facility, but we were asked to sign a three-page waiver of responsibility and choose a ($) limit of liability. Hence, we were asked to leave a credit card on file. We paid cash. However, they later charged our credit card as well. We were refunded. This was probably just a lack of communication between the two CSR's at the point of sale. Two polar opposite experiences.

This pet resort is so welcoming to all dogs and cats. The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This was my first time using this resort to board my cat, and I was so pleased I will be using them again. In fact already made another boarding reservation for my cat Juice 🐱

We were extremely pleased with leaving our fur baby Oreo in Second Home’s caring hands. She had never boarded anyway before as we normally have a pet sitter or take her on trips with us. However this time it was just not practical to take our dog on vacation with us. I’m glad we found Second Home. They treated our fur baby with love, care, and comfort. She was made to feel at home for the week we were gone. She got extra walks and cuddles due to the fact she had bad separation anxiety. We will definitely use Second Home’s services again.
