My favorite Safeway location for many reasons they have a great butcher and meat department, but the real reason I go is for their deli and imported cheese department. They gave an enormous selection of gourmet cheeses and deli meats with a great selection of meats and cheeses like Kretschmar, Primo, and Safeway select. The deli staff is friendly and eager to help. They also have a wonderful bakery and bread selection.

Every loaf of sourdough bread was smashed into its bag, and another loaf of bakery bread had a bug walking around inside the sealed bag.I don't know what the deal is, but the bakery has been inconsistent or completely empty for about 2 months now.

This particular Safeway is not close to my home. I shop this location for it's exemplary customer service in the floral department, employees Lena/Noel are pleasant and welcoming.Dan/Laura in the Deli are extremely patient and engaging and exudes great service, and I just enjoyed the conversation while being waited on from both!Actually this particular location, customer service starts the moment you get out of your car with the friendly lot attendants, Pierce who is so genuinely engaging, with always a good word to share. The other lot attendant Jamel is very helpful/friendly as well.I really hope this post reaches the employees mentioned in this post.As I kept reading the reviews, I read a review by Daniel Tye, and yes he is correct in singling out the older self- checkout employee, she has approached me in the same manner. When I see her I just go to a full service cashier.

This is one of my favorite Safeways in all of phoenix. They have a great hot food section, deli, bakery. They're pre-made sushi is always pretty good. They have quite a large wine and alcohol section. The store is always very clean and very well stocked. I can usually find any kind of cheese that I want here as well as pre-made salads and appetizers

This Safeway location has a top notch floral and bakery department. 💐🌹🌼The flowers are fresh and the arrangements are thoughtful. In the bakery you will find a huge selection of beautiful cakes. 🎂🍰 For breakfast there are hot and fresh burritos if you make it in in time. 🌯😁

I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but 3 times is enough. My wife and I have been harassed on three separate occasions trying to use the self checkout station. Today most of the checkout stations were being occupied, but it’s not a big deal. As a private chef I frequent grocery stores daily. At most grocery stores the only interaction I have with the self checkout clerk is when they ask “ Do you need any help”…. If they even ask. Not the case at this location! The checkout clerk asked to precount all my produce items before I scanned them. Then stood behind me staring at me as I finished my transaction. This has happened 3 times to both my wife and I and it’s ridiculous. Today it was older female employee who single me out amongst a fully occupied self checkout lane. I do not understand these prejudice actions. Corporate and management need to improve their training. She could’ve handled the situation in a couple of different ways but insulting and harassing is not one of them. Hopefully things improve and I might be able to go back one day.

Don’t waste your time shopping here. I placed a flash delivery for groceries and after an hour, 1/3 of my groceries were delivered. The other 2/3 were missing. I call the store and they say they’ll redeliver it. It’s been 2 hours since that phone call and I still haven’t received my order. The items I did receive were broken open and clearly mishandled. I placed a refund and it’s “pending review” and will now take 48hrs to “potentially” get my $$ back. I’ve had so many issues with pick up orders and delivery orders from this location, and I will not be returning.

The produce for the last year has been awful. Oranges will be dried out and inedible but they will just mark them as on sale. I bought 4 watermelons over the summer and just gave up trying to get one that wasn't mealy. About a hundred red peppers were out one day and each one was wilted with brown spots. I would rather the item simply be missing on the shelves than trying to rip me off selling me sub par fruits and vegetables.

Everything was fine except that it was like a freezer, way too cold. It was so cold I just wanted to get out as fast as possible. Otherwise, it's clean and easy to navigate.

This location is definitely the better one in the Phoenix area. Seems more upscale and it has a pharmacy. The other one in Indian School doesn't.The drawbacks at this location are very limited parking, no cart corrals (which means carts all over the parking lot) and no self checkout lanes.

We love coming to this the store. The store is very clean, staff is great and always friendly and helpful. They seem to have a better quality selections of food here for some reason. This is the only grocery store we go to now. Lots of handicap parking and handicap access. The staff is out front with the buggy's making sure they are cleaned. Nothing has changed in the year I have been going there, still a great store!

Well organized and clean location. This location is bright and well stocked. I was able to maneuver through the aisles with ease. The checkout process was super easy and friendly. We were greeted with a smile and the groceries were bagged efficiently and quickly. There was a gentleman outside who was wiping down carts in the cart corral outside of the store. He was very friendly and told me to have a great day! I highly recommend this location to anyone needing some groceries with a great shopping experience!

They have everything you need or want. The staff is really helpful. It's a huge store! Besides walking into the closed door and spilling my macaroni salad... The experience was fantastic. Prices and staff are incredible.

I have been shopping here for years. Recently they got rid of the hand baskets claiming people are stealing them. I find this hard to believe. PLEASE bring back the baskets!

Love love love this location. I drive out of my way to shop here! From the nice/friendly floral department to the butcher guys and the accommodating produce workers, I truly enjoy making the trip. Oh and how could I forget the employees at ckout or full service. They even help you when you have forgotten to click on all their specials from the app. As we all know good customer service is pretty much obsolete anymore, but this Safeway has managed to keep it at the forefront!

This is an upscale large format Safeway. Excellent huge selection of everything! Very clean and well maintained. Mostly middle and upper class clientele. Surprisingly not terribly busy at 5 PM on a weekday considering the busy, high density location of this store (32ND and Camelback). A nicer experience than some of the other smaller grocery stores in the PHX metro.

This is my go to place to shop. The store is clean and stocked well, produce is fresh, and has a great deli and butcher department. We recently celebrated my mom's birthday with a beautiful cake custom ordered from their bakery! It was delicious and moist, perfect decorations and an excellent price tag. 10/10 will order a cake again using their bakery. Thank you for doing a great job and helping us celebrate!

Used to be a great store with great staff. Now just a regular Safeway. As management not concerned about keeping quality staff. They prefer you come in & ring up your own groceries & just rake the profits in. Evidemce: One cashier ALWAYS for 20+ customers waiting to check out. Like why would people want to shop after work at 6pm???? Seems like a good time to have more than a single cashier around. Or, at least a manager available to help ring you up. Obvious move, Safeway. Obvious

For starters I just want to say Chikako is absolutely amazing! Every time we come in here for a coffee I go and get a breakfast burrito from the "Signature Cafe" in Safeway. The breakfast burrito is great but the warm feeling Chikako provides to go with it is far greater. She is so kind, sincere, and just a kind person. My girlfriend and I are continuously amazed by how someone can always be so polite! THANKS FOR MAKING OUR EXPERIENCE AWESOME ALWAYS.

Went to get some chicken...walked out with a basket full. I didn't listen to that adage. "Don't shop when you're hungry." Everything was good and saved me from shopping later. Very nice ppl and very clean...I liked it.

Lovely store - clean, well stocked, with friendly staff of all ages, which is welcome; experience and energy are a good blend. I like the pharmacy on-site, as well. Saves time and is appreciated, as are the naturopathic/herbal goods along with standard meds. Many folks grew up with and trust both. The selections of goods in all areas is excellent and the glutenfree items, in particular, are highly welcome and well chosen.

Left a 1 star review 11 months ago and nothing has changed at this store. Been going to the Biltmore location for 20 years always been good, but the store manager can’t manage his employees. At the self checkout there’s the same man whose has zero customer service and communication skills and his just terrible at his job. The store manager said he k owns it, but won’t make changes to improve the customer experience self checkout. It’s disgusting that a store manager can’t manage one of the most distinguished stores in the Safeway brands. Today at 6:45am the isles were packed with pallets of food and when I went to get my creamer it was not in the case and when I asked a stocker for help he said they where all out of it which I know was a lie. I asked for the manager and told he wasn’t going to be in until 7:30am. The store needs a Manager that will actively manage and make the necessary changes to improve overall customer experience. A 35 year Safeway customer.

We like the variety of product and very much the fresh produce at Safeway. We also like the prepared cut fruit. What we don't like is the confusing way they price things on sale.... Sometimes product is in the wrong spot on the shelf and in our case we bought the wrong water, that was not on sale, and paid a very high price for it because it was in the wrong spot. You have to read the fine print all the time to make sure you're doing it right in order to establish a sale price. That gets kind of annoying.

It was such a pleasure to work with Noel in the flower department for a very special order of 9 dozen yellow roses. Not only is he efficient and responsive, he has a wonderful sense of humor. This is the second time the flower department has assisted me with an important event.

Love love love this store!! I think they scouted out the most friendly people and put them all in one store. This store is always stocked with all the items I need and want. The gentleman in the meat department always willing to give you cooking tips, and help you make the correct decisions on what cut of meat will suit your needs the best. This store is always clean. The baked goods and deli foods are always delicious. Produce is always fresh and beautiful, same with the floral department. A definite one stop shop for any gathering.

Today was a good day there everything was stocked and they had a couple of good steaks which that never happens.they always have crappie cuts of meat out crappie cuts of London boil.
